About Delvin's Incident

<Jace >

Cleopatra Cavern was sitting prettily looking around the place when I entered the restaurant. Deliberately, I told her to reserve a place near the window. Besides being easy to find, I like looking at the scenery outside the restaurant. She was wearing a polka-dot dress in a dark salmon color. Her loose hair was tied in a plain headband. A honey-sweet smile appeared on her lips when she saw my arrival.

I sat in front of her and handed her a bouquet which was greeted with a big smile.

"Aww…thank you, Jace," she said, blushing.

Not long after, a waiter came to our table while waiting to take our order.

"Grilled Vegetable Napoleon, Please." Cleopatra looked up with a friendly smile. "Also Field Mix Green Salad. And I'd like some strawberry juice with just a little ice."

"You, sir?" The waiter turned to look at me after taking down Cleopatra's order.

"Beef Stroganoff Linguine and Lemon Tea."

After taking my order, the waiter in the same uniform as the other waiters nodded kindly, then waved and left our table with a friendly smile.

While waiting for the order, I took my time to make small talk with Cleo. She kept telling me about Physics formulas, Chemical formulas, and Mathematical equations, which made me curse my heart. Not to mention the stories about mythological world. And continued with the question about what I've been doing all this time.

"Only a fraction of what other teens do," I said, condensing into one real answer.

She nodded her head enthusiastically. Then open her mouth again. "Anyway, my brother has just been admitted to the hospital."

One of my eyebrows rose questioningly. "Oh, really? Why?"

"Someone beat him from behind until he's unconscious. I didn't know he had enemies. However, my father has mobilized his men to find out who did it."

I secretly smiled behind my concerned expression. I rested my chin on my fist, looking at Cleo who recounted the chronology of the incident until her brother, Delvin, was rushed to the hospital. Even without telling it, I already knew.

"Well, hopefully, the one who did that is found soon," I told her, giving her a lopsided smile.
