This Cultivation Method Is... Incomplete?

"Mom, I've finished reading the book. Can I start cultivating now?" When Jian Xue heard this, she was a bit surprised. 'It's only been 5 hours since he started reading. Even though he only learned how to read recently he could already read this fast?' Even though she trusted Jian Tian, she still couldn't help but feel a bit doubtful.
Jian Tian could see that bit of doubtfulness that flashed in her eyes for a moment. Jian Tian knew what was Jian Xue thinking and he could not blame her for thinking this way. 'I would be doubtful too if a 18 months old who had just learned the language finished reading a 500 page book' Jian Tian inwardly agreed with what she was thinking.
"If you say you're lying I won't be mad but you have to know that lying is not a good way-" before Jian Xue could finish what she was saying, Jian Tian cut her off by saying. "I'm not lying"
Jian Xue could hear how confident Jian Tian was when he said I'm not lying. 'Did he really read he whole book in under 5 hours?' Jian Xue pondered. "Alright since your not lying, we'll do a fun game! I'll pick a page and you have to say what's on it. Alright?" Jian Xue had to be a hundred percent sure that Jian Tian had read the whole book. She did not want her one and only son to die because of her carelessness.
"Um" Jian Tian nodded.
"Page 134 third paragraph, what does it say?" Jian Xue questioned.
"Qi and energy are different. Energy is when Qi is being used outside of the body, Qi is when it's used inside of the body. Example: When doing martial arts or using the sword and you're enhance your body. It's called Qi. If you are using your Qi to sense your surroundings, that would be called energy..." Jian Tian was about to continue but Jian Xue stopped him right there "Alright, alright. I believe you" Jian Xue said with a hint of shock. Even though Jian Tian had only listed one paragraph on a certain page, he didn't even stutter or wait to think what was next hence why Jian Xue had believed that he had memorized the whole book.
Jian Xue couldn't help remember the white light that had hit Jian Tian that day 'Maybe that was the heavens way of granting my wish' Jian Xue thought
"Alright, since you're done with reading the book. Come here." Jian Xue said as she gestured for him to go to her.
Jian Tian nodded and walked towards Jian Xue. Jian Xue then picked up Jian Xian and leaned her forehead onto his forehead. A bright yellow light flashed in between their foreheads as they touched.
After the yellow light had disappeared, Jian Tian was still in a daze. 'He's probably going to need some time to digest the information' Jian Xue said inwardly. Jian Xue carried Jian Tian to his bedroom, she laid Jian Tian down on his bed softly then covered him with his blanket.
She looked at Jian Tian's face that was still in a daze as if she was recalling a sorrowful memory. 'You really do look like your Father' She said inwardly with a bitter smile. She walked outside of Jian Tian's room to let him rest.
She was about to cook something for dinner but when she looked what ingredients she had left she immediately discarded the idea of cooking dinner. "Haaah, guess I'll have to go shopping..." Jian Xue sighed.
*Creak* *Click*

A few hours later,
"Hmm? Where am I?" Jian Tian said still a bit dazed, but when Jian Tian saw the familiar ceiling and felt the soft mattress that he was laying on. He concluded that he was in his bedroom. 'How did I get here?' Jian Tian pondered.
Jian Tian tried to remembered how did he ended up here but then sudden flashes of what seemed to be pictures had just answered his question. 'Truly a interesting technique' Those flashes of pictures showed the anatomy of the Dantian and explained every part he needed to build a pseudo Dantian.
'Using your mind without any Qi or Energy involved. How interesting...' theoretically it was possible but when the mind experts had tested this out they said this: "Without Qi or Energy, it felt as if I was trying to transfer my memories into some type of hard material... like steel" and you have to remember this, he was one of the top experts in using the mind only second to Jian Tian.
But before Jian Tian could cotinue his train of thoughts he heard Jian Xue calling him for dinner. "Coming!" Jian Tian quickly walked towards the living room. He sat at the opposite side of Jian Xue and started to eat
"How's your cultivation?" Jian Xue wanted to make sure that when Jian Tian was cultivating everything was going alright.
'Oh shit, I totally forgot about cultivating' Jian Tian looked at his mom with a hint of guilt "I haven't started on my cultivation yet"
As Jian Xue wiped her mouth she said "Alright, just make sure you cultivate carefully and follow the instructions on the book. Alright?"
"Un" Jian Tian nodded.

After Jian Tian finished eating dinner, he looked over the cultivation method once again to make sure he did not remember anything wrong. "Hmmm?" When he finished reading the cultivation method again, it didn't feel right, as if it was incomplete...
'Must have just been my imagination' Jian Tian tried to convince himself that it was just his imagination. 'There's no way that the creator of this cultivation method had written a incomplete method right?' No matter how Jian Tian looked at it they're just no reason for the creator of this cultivation method just put a incomplete method unless... It was a test!
Jian Tian was familiar with these kinds of test because he had done it a few times for people who had wanted to become his disciple of course none of them passed but besides that why would anyone want to make a cultivation method like this a test?
'If a incomplete cultivation method like this could make people in this world as strong as people from his world by simply using a incomplete method. How strong was the complete version?' Jian Tian couldn't help but wonder.
But just knowing that it was a incomplete method does not make it a complete version and of course Jian Tian knew this so he spent the rest of the night trying to figure out how to make it into the complete version.
