Sam Meera, is an orphan wo grew up in a bad part of town. The only family members he had were his fellow orphans. He grew up stealing, pickpocketing and scamming people. Ever since he was young, he had always been unlucky. Unlucky with family, unlucky with money, and unlucky with the law. When he was 16, he was caught robbing a convenience store with a couple of friends. Since he cooperated and promised to change his ways, he was only given a 2 year sentence in juvenile detention. Ever since, he had to work his ass off just to make enough for a place and something to eat, jumping from one job to the other. After going to juvenile detention, and learning a lesson in the process, he no longer wanted to live life the wrong way. Little did he know, It wouldn't take long for his bad luck to catch up to him. One night, he witnessed something he shouldn't have, leading to a series of events that would give him a second shot at life. "Now that I have been given this second chance, I will do everything I can to turn my luck around." He said in a determined voice.
"Ah... sh*t.. my head hurts so much" Sam was slumped on the ground, his butt facing up, his head in the ground. Feeling disoriented, he tried to stand up.
blegh!!
Before he could do anything else, he couldn't stop himself from puking. It went every where. He lied back down again to catch his breath.
'I haven't even eaten anything yet, how did I vomit this much?' Sam wiped his mouth with his sleeve and stared at the sky.
"What the hell is happening? Shouldn't i already be dead? I'm sure I got shot, just a moment ago, twice to be exact."
Feeling his body, even though his shirt had the holes and rips from the gun shot, and the dried blood, there was no wound.
After calming down for a bit, Sam started to scan the surroundings . Trees, large and lush, as tall as skyscrapers, not like any forest that he's ever seen. The vegetation was thick and heavy. Sounds of birds and different critters filled the surroundings.
"Woah! shouldn't I be in a hospital? Which country am I in?" Sam starter to walk around, to see more.
'There were no jungles like this near my place, or near my city, or any that I know of in that matter.'
rustle! rustle!
Not even a few minutes after he woke up, rustling sounds could be heard. It was difficult to pin point the exact location, the noise is muffled by the tall grass.
Trying to see what was making the sound, Sam went a little closer. Then he saw it. Eyes, two red glowing eyes. Slowly, the creature started moving forward, the light showing what it was.
It was a small creature, brownish green skin, 2 - 3 feet in height. It was snarling quietly like a dog, saliva dripping from it's mouth, raggedy and sharp teeth.
"He.. hello?"
The creature suddenly jumps at Sam, baring its fangs at him, trying to bite, he was able to avoid by jumping at the side, and start running away, not caring about where he was headed.
"Just my luck! what are you? You crazy demon baby"
He ran as fast as he could, but, unfortunately, the creature was familiar with the surroundings. Sliding and slipping from the tall grass and the lower branches. It was about to reach Sam when suddenly a plain and mechanical voice rang in his head.

[ Player634221. Would you like to claim this land as your territory? ]
"Wh.. what? the f*ck are you?" Hearing the unexpected sound, and so close to his ear, Sam almost tripped, but he was able to keep sprinting.
[ Would you like to claim this land as your territory? ]
The voice could be heard a second time, Sam realized that the sound was coming from inside his head.
'What land? Sh*t I'm running out of stamina, sooner or later this monster is going to reach me.'
"Okay, okay. I... I'll claim this land as my territory!!" Sam was already screaming at the top of his lungs, he was almost out of breath.
[ Novice lord territory card has been used. ]
[ Player634221 has claimed this land as his territory. ]

A bright light suddenly covered the surroundings, causing Sam to cover his eyes. Tripping, Sam fell on the ground, using both his arms, he covered and head and turned into a ball, thinking he was going to get ripped apart by the monster.
"Just my luck, to die a second time."
To his surprise however, nothing happened. Sam stood up and turned to monster's direction. A blue light like a screen was stopping the strange creature, it was not able to pass through. The screen covered a wide a area around Sam, like a dome.
Sam went closer to the creature to observe more clearly. The creature was banging on the blue like screen, but unable to break it. As he was observing, something covered his view.

I'm rewriting the entire novel. I started this when I was bored, so it was horrible. I'm planning to continue as I have new ideas. I'm going to use this novel to practice my writing, as I'm a novice, please don't be too harsh.
