The Passive Income System

Art isn't mine and is from "Too Many Losing Heroines!' However, I think its a fanart from that series but I don't know i didn't really look to much into the image Note: Updates are undecided but I just felt like releasing something. Additional note: My other fan-fic is getting re-developed into something different so at the moment for that particular one its on pause. I haven't forgot about it though just wanna do it differently Also note this series will be a mesh of a variety of worlds even some from a supernatural series but without their powers/special abilities. I might try to translate those abilities into some kind of skill or talent or profession if I can but I'll see.

Chapter 1: Passive Income

[Welcome! To the Passive Income System!]

"Uh-huh." A purple-translucent screen manifested in front of me. I was currently taking a shower in my apartment—which, thankfully, was paid for by my parents—but that wasn't all. I had transmigrated to this world three days ago into the body of Amane Fujimiya from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten

His black hair and black eyes and slightly taller then average height. Weak but not frail physique and sharp eyes. All of it was the same and he was surprisingly endowed in a certain male part which wouldn't show with how he acted in the original series.

That's right, an anime/light novel series. And I was here. When I woke up, I was on the floor and felt a sharp pain in my head. I was confused, but then a wave of memories hit me. I—or rather Amane—had slipped on a magazine he left on the floor and hit the sharp point of a counter.

It was so like him. Thankfully, he had Mahiru to help him change his habits because sooner or later, this would've happened to him in the original series.

Speaking of Mahiru, I hadn't tried to talk to her or initiate anything because I still wasn't used to everything. Plus, I didn't really know how to. She's much colder in person than any novel or anime could ever portray.

Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked.

[Yeah, you are! I don't have all day, after all.]

There was text but no audio. It felt strange, but whatever.

"Just get to it." I just wanted to enjoy my shower.

[Uh? Fine, then.]

[The Passive Income System is what it sounds like. You'll get a passive income, slotted for the beginning of every new week.]

"How much?"

[Let me finish.]

"Okay..."

[There are Five Tiers and 10 sub-tiers.

Tier 1 gives you the equivalent to 1,000 usd

Tier 2 Give you 2,000 Usd

Tier 3 Give you 4,000 Usd

Tier 4 Gives you 8,000 Usd

Tier 5: Gives you 16,000 Usd

with each sub-tier basically being within the previous tier and next tier's amount. So I won't focus on them.]

"So—"

[Shut up.]

'...' The text had quite the attitude.

[There is a shop feature where you can buy knowledge, items, or the right to an opportunity.]

[For knowledge, it's nothing crazy, so don't think you'll gain Tony Stark-level knowledge or anything. The items are exactly what they sound like—nothing crazy, just stuff that exists or could exist in this world.

As for the last one, you can use money to buy an opportunity. For example, let's say you want to go to a party but need an invitation. You can buy the right to one. Or, if you want to buy land, you can buy the right to negotiate for it without any hassle. You'll still need money and good negotiation skills to secure the deal.]

[Anything you do that qualifies will be translated into skills. You can earn more by completing Main Quests and Side Quests. Each quest has a ranking system matching its tier, graded from one to five tiers.]

[Say "Skills" for a list of current skills. Say "Status" for everything else. Skills are graded one to five as well. Bye.]

"What the fuck..." The hot shower water hitting me helped keep me grounded, but I couldn't fully believe what I just read. Still, I wasn't about to deny this wonderful gift.

"Skills." A new purple-translucent screen appeared in front of me.

[Skills]

1. Listening Level 4 (100/1,250)

2. Studying Level 3 (40/250)

3. Fitness Level 2 (5/50)

4. Cooking Level 1 (0/10)

5. Confidence Level 1 (0/10)

Damn... none of my skills from my last world/life transferred over! A lot of work was going to need to be done.

"Status."

[Status]

Name: Amane Fujimiya

Age: 16 (Birthday: Nov. 8)

Income: Tier 1

Net Worth: $1,000 USD (156,455 yen)

"I guess the money is in the system, and I can use it whenever I need? I wonder... Shop?"

[Shop]

[Say what you need...]

"A way to use money from the system."

[Searching...]

[Found!]

[Shop Card: $100

Uses: Use money from the shop directly in daily life.]

"Wow. Couldn't just give me a card for free?"

Nothing came in response to my sarcasm. It seemed the system had lost that lifelike consciousness, which was honestly for the better.

"Hah~ Buy."

$100 left the system's income screen, and my purchase was complete.

[Delivered. On counter in kitchen.]

"Thanks. I'll finish this shower and check it out. I also need to get food. I'll splurge tonight!"

I quickly finished my shower and got dressed in light clothing—some loose grey pants and a loose long-sleeve black shirt. Heading toward the kitchen, I saw it: a purple-gold debit card. Or, in this country (Japan), I guess it would be called a cash card?

Regardless, I grabbed the card and put it in my wallet. That's when a thought struck me.

"Status."

Walking out of my apartment, I sighed in relief. Phew~ saved myself some embarrassment. Time to go eat!

I locked the door to my apartment and headed down the elevator without a real destination in mind. Dressed in light, casual clothes, I figured I shouldn't go anywhere with a dress code—not that I had enough money for that anyway. I was glad I chose these clothes, though, as the weather was quite chilly but not cold. It was autumn, after all, my favorite season, which served to improve my mood exponentially.

I just remembered I hadn't styled my hair. Whatever, I guess. If someone recognizes me from school, so be it. Since transmigrating, I'd been doing my hair every time I went out to avoid anyone from school, but I couldn't be bothered to go back to my apartment just for that.

The city looked beautiful, with the setting sun casting its orange rays over everything. Coupled with the perfect temperature, it was truly a perfect evening—almost night—to be out. I took out my phone and checked the time: 16:40 (4:40 PM). A perfect time; most places should be open. Speaking of...

"The real-life Wagnaria!" I remembered it being in Hokkaido, not here in Tokyo, but whatever. This world was different from the original Angel Next Door. Shizuka from Oregairu was a teacher at my school, among other odd changes. I didn't want to think about school stuff right now, though, so I walked into the classic anime diner.

"Hello!" A bubbly voice welcomed me in. It was Taneshima Popura. Her youthful face sparkled with enthusiasm, her golden-brown eyes shining brightly. Her light brown hair was tied into a playful side ponytail, with soft bangs framing her forehead and delicate strands curling around her cheeks. Of course, she had her surprisingly well-developed chest, but that wasn't important.

"Hi. Just a spot—"

"Leave me alone, you bastard!" An angry, mature woman's voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned to my left, where the shout had come from, and needless to say, it wasn't surprising.

It was Miss Shizuka, and she was knocking some sense into a guy who clearly looked like scum. He deserved it, but that was their business, not mine.

'...' I turned back towards Taneshima and she did the same.

"Ha..ha.." Taneshima chuckled awkwardly clearly not knowing what to say but I wasn't focused on that.

[Side-Quest: Calm Shizuka down.

Reward: A free meal and relationship improvement with Shizuka.]

It had now become my business.

I'll release one or two extra chapters later(2-4 hours). Gonna go eat and talk with my bro.
