After Alex had finally given up on trying to make uncomfortable the seemingly unflappable young man seated on the table next to theirs in the Study room, Coraa had finally gone back to reviewing her notes. She still marveled at how neat and even her writing had actually turned out. She remembered those first days when she had started being treated as human after her capture, and her language tutor had seemed very despondent and particularly reluctant to conduct his lessons. He looked like someone who had been forcibly inducted.
