4. Finding Culprits

Garrick and his dog went back to their car and flew away. He was now under more pressure but he can now find the Xun Xian and enact justice. "I just wanted to help the two but I never realized laws matter more than their lives." He said to himself.

Landing back home, he enters inside and figures his duplicate is comforting his family member. He turned on his watch which was now free from the Epsilon Wave. "Scan the entire Milky Way for the Xun Xian." He said.

The AI pulls up a holographic map of the entire galaxy showing every alien civilizations. "Xun Xian not detected."

"Widen the scan range around the Local Group." The AI nodded and the hologram widen its search. Unfortunately, no sign of the Xun Xian are located everywhere.

"Damn it! Turn to the Laniakea Supercluster." He said as the search got even wider but after scanning every conceivable civilizations across the huge cluster, there was no sign of them. This puzzled him even more but he had an idea. "Search any races under the Xun Xian Rule." He said.

The AI detected 57 alien civilizations under the rule of the Xun Xian. The nearest was in the Bartrovian Star system in the Centauri Void. "Strange, their presence is non-existent around the universe but the races they've conquered are still under their rule."

He went to grab his backpack and littered it with different types of weapons and gadgets. After shoving all of it, he pressed a button which caused the bag to vibrate while wearing it. The two went back to his car and patched the coordinates on his computer before the space car flew off and zoomed out into space.

Garrick arrived at the Centauri Void which was devoid of almost all stars. It spanned over a million light years across with only 20 stars around it. The outer hull of his space car began to crystallize which didn't bother him.

The Bartrovian Star system was a binary planetary system with only 3 planets. One in the middle was bustling with life so he landed there at the alien forests away from civilization.

"My goodness. What a spicy atmosphere, luckily I like spice. Now let's see here." He looked around before stumbling across a city with alien people that have tentacles for eyes and had a red callous skin. There were also other aliens but were scarce and diverse.

Grabbing a headphone with a speaker on his bag, he wore it and approached the local. "Sorry I'm not in the mood for long expository drama but do you know where your alien rulers are?" He asked directly.

The alien man was distressed and covered his mouth with his hoof-like hands as the rest of the others continued their business as usual. "You must be an alien visitor. Let's talk in a more secret space." He said.

Garrick and his dog arrived in an abandoned house that was on the verge of collapse. "We are the Abraxians, and the alien overlords, the Xun Xian have conquered us for millennia. It was a warzone but thankfully, the two of us managed a ceasefire and forged an alliance with them." He briefly explained and stated his name as Frank.

"Okay Frank. I'm not an alien visitor here. I'm what you would call a hired assassin, if you have assassins in your world. I'm looking for two Xun Xian named Han Wu and Kim Dongil." He showed him a photo of the two tall aliens, one with highly decorated armor and the other one with spikes on its helmet.

"Sorry, never heard of them But I know where decorated Xun Xians are. They hold up special stations located in the Hobsgob Nebula." He showed the map of the local group and pointed a galaxy. Garrick recognized it as the Large Magellanic Cloud.

"Every 500 years, the Xun Xian gather there for their plans on creating more alliances and finding new worlds to conquer. Don't ask me on how I got this intel, but I trust myself on this." He said.

The skepticism in Garrick's eyes seemed to slowly fade away. "I guess I'll take your word for it. By the way, why aren't you going out exploring space? Aren't you guys already fit for Interstellar travel?" He asked Frank.

"Well we have sent scouting missions across the void we live in but none have come back. Our government decided to stay here until Interstellar travel is necessary." He said.

The two said their farewells and went back to his space car. He flew up and zoomed away, and after that, they arrived at the Large Magellanic Cloud. "Computer, scan for Xun Xian Megastructures." Pulling out the hologram of the galaxy, he found 1 megastructure and it sits around a supermassive black hole.

Arriving at the center of the galaxy is a giant megastructure and has enveloped a supermassive black hole. "Black Hole Technology. How dare they improve better than me?!" His petty jealousy is slowly rising.

He then concealed his ship in order to not get detected. He took a long good look at the whole mega space station. "How come my scanners couldn't detect their presence?" He asked himself.

Looking at the busy space full of starships, the material is constructed of something weird. But he didn't have the time to figure it out. He approached the control station that is in charge of maintaining the megastructure.

Landing at the platforms was tough to not create any disturbance. He stepped out of the car and wore a spacesuit, but more sleek and flexible and one for his dog. The two sneaked inside the station and there were automated humanoid robots patrolling the sectors and corridors of the station.

"Looks like there's an access terminal for all listed members of the Xun Xian Tech Retrieval Team. Weirdly specific but works for me." He said as the two snuck around. After not being encountered by robot guards, they managed to find the access terminal. "Time to do your thing, boy." He said.

The dog wagged its tail and the control panel for the door got fried to its circuits, causing the door to open. "Good boy." The two entered and searched for the two assholes that almost messed up the Earth.

"They're here on HQ. Finally, no need for another episode of finding them. I haven't slept for a while thanks to their mess." He complained but he now knows their location.
