The Attack- Final Part

So this is how it all ends, the Kim family finally have their way. 

I closed my eyes to accept my death but a strange thing happened, the noise reduced to nothing as the assassins running towards us to attack us all were on the ground dead as I opened my eyes gently. 

I looked around to check who attacked them but I saw nothing. The assassin that attacked us is dead on the ground, some of the remaining assassins crawl out of their hiding and gather again around us. 

Seo Hwa is falling unconscious now, I reached into my pocket to give her some strength portion when Kang Yun held my hand.

"put her down, we will fight them alone", he said to me. 

"No, I can't leave her like this I still have some strength portion with me", I said as I opened it to give her. 

He kicked the bottle from my hand in an attempt to put the bottle in her mouth. 

"she is pregnant", he said as he looked into my eyes. 

"with your child", he added. 

I fell to the ground, I couldn't hold my sword again as it dropped from my hand and I sat there lost. 

The assassins wondered why we were talking when we were faced with death. 

"Attack them", one of them said and they made an attempt on us too but they all fell to the ground too this time, men dressed in an item of blue clothing appeared from the shadows and cut down every single one of them. 

A certain man dressed in red clothing, looked like their leader, he stood by me and waited till the men dressed in blue clothing returned to him. 

"We have killed everyone", they report to him. 

The red man standing by me stood before me and bowed on his knees. 

"I greet you, your highness, you are safe now and you can now return home", he said to me. 

"Who are you", I asked him 

"I am your shadow, so as the rest with me", he said as they all bowed down on their kneels. 

Before I could talk again, they disappeared back into the wind just like they weren't here a second ago. They are well trained and with the way they move they already reached the highest peak of martial arts. 

"They are more skilled than us, so I am sure they are not from the palace", Kang Yun managed to say. 

"then where did they come from", I asked him 

"I don't know your Highness but the good thing is that we are safe and we should go home now", he replied. 

I quickly rushed to Seo Hwa and picked her up, Kang Yun kept checking all the huts until he found our people tied up together in one hut. 

"I found them", he shouts out at me. He untied them and they all rushed to where I stand. 

"what happened to our leader", one of them said. 

"you shouldn't have brought her here", Gu won said despite being in pain. 

"he didn't know before, he just found out now", Kang Yun explained to him. 

"Let's return home", I said as Kang Yun helped me I carried her onto a horse and I sat behind her. 

They all find a horse and the rest join us on foot as we make our way home. Kang Yun set the whole place ablaze. They will soon see the fire and come. And this time they will search for us everywhere but we will always be ready for them. 

We journey through the night until we see our gate from afar. Seo Hwa has retained her energy a bit, she could support herself on the horse now. I carried her into her room as we arrived and lay her to sleep. 

"what are you going to do now", Gu Won approached me as I returned from her room. 

I stood there mute for a while 

"I haven't thought about anything yet but I am sure we will come up with something", I replied. 

"she can't be pregnant now, the village will mock her, they never wanted a female leader, and now they will regret giving her a chance on the throne", Gu Won said angrily. 

"what did you suggest we do", I asked him ignorantly. 

"tell her to abort it, it's still too early", he said. 

"But I Can't make that decision myself, she should agree too", I said to him even though I wanted the baby with her I understood him. I am not ready to be a father yet too 

"you will have to convince her to abort it because you are still on the run and she has a throne and a village to protect", he said to me. 

I was lost in thought for a while and when I regained my thought, I was standing alone, Gu Won had left angrily. 

"your Highness", Kang Yun has been standing behind me. 

"what should I do?", I asked him too 

"I don't know, wait till she wakes up and talks it with her she might want to keep the pregnancy because she ought to have removed it before you know about it but I think she still holds on for you", he said to me. 

I was about to go inside when I remembered something. 

"who are the people that save us", I asked him. 

"I don't know your Highness, but whoever they are, they already know who we are", he answered. 

"yes, they called me the crown prince, but I don't remember any of our soldiers in the palace dressing like that, only the Kim family can have soldiers trained so well like that", I replied. 

"I will go for a stake out near the hideout to see if I will see anything", he replied. 

"but please be careful, they will be very angry now and we can't avoid going back there to rescue anybody", I warned him. 

"It's me, Your Highness, I will return safely", she smiled as he replied to me. I trust him that he will return safely but those soldiers have portions that are deadly and It can affect anyone. 

After he left I entered Seo Hwa's room and laid beside her. 

"I want to start a family with her truly but the timing is still not right now. 

**The King POV** 

"how is my son", I asked the darkness behind me. 

"he is safe your majesty ", it replies me. 

"Hope there is no way they can trace the attack to us", I asked the darkness again. 

"yes, your majesty, we born the whole place to the ground", it answered me back. 

I have been able to sleep soundly again after I met my childhood friend Myeong Sun. He runs secret assassins in China. He returned after 40 years to meet my country and the royal palace in chaos. He vowed to help me regain my honor. He thought he had to return to China, so he left me with 12 of his best-trained assassins to always be in the shadows and protect me. But my son is my greatest worry now so I sent two of them to watch him always until they brought back a report about him going on a mission. 

"gather every one of you and rescue him anytime a danger appears even without waiting for my order", this is the order I give to their leader.
