Prof. Silas's First Letter

My dearest Samantha,

I am writing you this letter to explain my situation on the matter. Unfortunately, for confidentiality reasons I cannot share everything that I wish to, but you must understand the position I am in. This company I am a part of has restricted me from sharing much. What I can say is that I am in a very safe place right now. A place where the scary things cannot hurt me, and while I'm in the safe place, I am currently working on keeping the scary things from coming to get you. I don't know how long I will be working for but at the rate we all are going, I should be home sometime next month. I sincerely apologize for having to leave so suddenly, I know you told me you don't like it when I do that, but I had to. It was necessary for the betterment of humanity. Mr. Owens told me that he had found something super amazing and I had no choice but to leave to see it. He said it was even going to be amazing for you as well! Doesn't that sound exciting. Anyway, I just want you to know that I love you and hope that everything is going ok for you. I will be sending more letters shortly, so just hang tight, ok my little starlight?
