Let Me Serve You!

"Sob…. Why do you hate me so much… MOTHER? They say, the one who brings up the child is the mother. You brought me up and still deny being called my mother. Am I that despicable MOTHER?" She sounded hurt but one could see that she was challenging the duchess to act upon her words. "y..you!!!" screamed the duchess at the loss of words. "I, what mother?" Her playful tone gave away the amusement.

Bewitched, the alpha looked up to find the source of this magical, soft voice.. so soft that he felt his auditory canal and other inner organs melt and dissolve in the voice, like a cotton candy dissolves in water. Standing a little behind his younger sister, the man craned his neck to the side as his eyes traveled from the ground to the stairs and then the door in the viranda..

In the middle of the open door, on the floor, he spotted a pair of smooth, bare feet. He wondered if he had ever come across a woman with a face as beautiful as her fairly brown feet. She was leaning on the side door, one foot firm on the ground and the other crossed over it. She was wearing a short sleeping gown that stopped a little above her knees leaving the smooth, slender legs bare.

The alpha found his eyes glued to her bare legs while his sister was busy screaming at her. "Do you have any sense of shame left in you? Coming out of your quarters in such revealing attire… how really shameless.." the duchess was on the verge of fainting out of anger. This shameless jinx, showing off her skin in front of guards and strangers, does she not know that a woman only shows her body to her mate?

Rose watched Miss Aurelia leave the door and walk towards them leisurely. Her bare feet landed firmly on the ground, one by one alighting the stairs. Her beautiful royal blue gown fluttered with air and she spoke in a miserable tone, "trust me mother, I'm a really shy girl, so shy that I don't have the heart to shamelessly ogle at other people's bare legs."

Alpha Robert was harshly slapped by her words and coughed up a little more blood as she continued to speak, her moist eyes capturing the effect of her words on the duchess.

"Still, if you blame me mother, I have no choice but to speak a few words in my defense." The duchess's face was distorted upon being called mother again. Miss Aurelia stopped ten feet away from them, "since you insist on not being my mother, this person here is not my uncle either, right?"

"right," spat Leanna.

"And this stranger burst into an unmarried, unmated, girl's courtyard after the sun has set, do you expect the poor girl to immediately dress up for him?"

"Wh..what?"

"I was feeling a little under the weather and so was going to sleep when he invaded my space."

Madam Leanna was at a loss for words. She turned to glare at her brother. The young miss on the other hand kept speaking. "He did not even make an announcement. This poor, helpless girl was so scared and startled that she released her lowly, omega aura out of reflex." The young miss twisted her words to their full potential and spoke pitifully to depict herself as a poor helpless girl.

"Little did I know, he was so weak that he could not withstand my aura or my kick. Then, before I could dress properly and come out, you started shouting at the top of your lungs and I had to rush out in this dress. How am I at fault here?"

She started walking towards madam Leanna who immediately stepped back, "Wh..what? Stay back.."

"Why aunt? Are you scared?"

"Why would I be? Don't talk nonsense." This niece of hers was such a creep, Madam Leanna feared she might release her toxic aura again.

Aurelia smiled sweetly, "trust me aunt, I can release my aura again to show you how harmless it was."

Leave the duchess aside, even everyone else there stumbled back immediately in fear that she might really do that. "Wh..what? N..no..no I don't doubt you. It's just a misunderstanding since my brother didn't know you lived here. Let's just forget it, okay?" She hurriedly turned back to look at her brother, " you're injured brother, let's get you to rest." Then, she went away without looking back and so did her guards.

Only Rose was mesmerized enough to not read the room and leave. She kept standing there with the inner wall of the courtyard and ogled at the young miss in amazement. How come an omega was powerful enough to control alphas and betas?

Aurelia kept standing there and watched her so-called aunt and her brother leave. Looked like that bastard of her brother was a really stubborn thing as he kept looking back over his shoulder every few steps. Sigh.. She turned to leave when she spotted a little girl glued to the wall. It might be that she was too scared to move. Aurelia's chestnut brown eyes that were burning in the face of those mighty people a moment ago softened.

"Don't worry, my aura won't harm you. You can get back to work."

"Ah.." Rose blinked her eyes.

Aurelia turned to go back to her quarter but stopped to find Rose blocking her path. It was amazing how she moved faster than wind to come stand in her face. Was she not scared of being harmed by her infamous toxic aura? Even alphas could not help but be weary to be in close proximity to her but this little girl was looking at her with shining eyes.

"Uhmm, do you.. need something?" Asked Aurelia carefully. Rose, whose eyes were literally glittering like stars as if she stumbled upon a treasure, immediately went on her knees with a thud.

"My lady! Please let me serve you. This humble servant hopes to be your personal maid and fulfill my duties from heart and soul. It will be an honor to be able to assist the first young miss."

From her facial expressions, Aurelia looked amused. "An honor to serve me?" She suppressed her smile. "Go back little girl. Get back to your work and inquire about me. I'm sorry to disappoint you but working for me won't bring you any honor."

She tried to walk past her but was held back at the maid's next words. "I don't need to inquire about young miss. I know everything and am not going to budge from my request. It will be my biggest honor to be of help to the most powerful young miss of the household."
