OLD STAIN

Arriving home that night,Mrs Reyes went directly to her husband study to discuss with him how they can help their daughter.They have never experienced such behavior from their daughter before,it was disturbing but she was their only child,a miraculous one,that's what they called her,she was conceived in old age after they have tried for years.They promised to give her anything she desires regardless of the price.

"Let's talk for a moment,it's Jane"

"What about her"

"The lunch date today turned out be the man she meet downtown,so she is determined to have him but he is in love with someone else "So,what should we do?,you know that girl is very determined when she wants something "

"Exactly,that why we need a plan,I have asked Bobi to find everything about them, anything that we can use against them,I won't allow my daughter to lose to this man"

"You too are the same,look how fueld with the wrath of fury,just calm down,I'll ask my secretary to do the same,we can talk more about it when we get the results "

In the morning everyone on the dinning table was going through the news paper as they wait for their breakfast to be served but Jane was not even up yet.Her mother knew she was distressed from yesterday incident.

In the office, Jane's mother was anxious,her mind in chaos about how to solve her daughter's problem. Later in the afternoon Bobi arrived with the file about the Hong's from a private investigator they hired for the job.

"Ooh looked at that, quite thick huh,I bet it can bring them to their knees,let me check it,come and sit down "

"Yes madam "

"Ooh dear,this is horrible,that old hug had quite a lot of nerves when he was young,this is unbelievable,I could have thought about it in a million years,he looks quite upright to me"

"With this you can get him, should I call their office and set meeting with him?"

"Yes,do it right away"

That evening the Reyes conduct a family meeting assuring Jane that everything is going to work out, whatever it takes.

Early that morning Jane's other went to the Empire hotel to have atrend them meeting with Mr Hong,jay's father.

"Hello,good morning Mr Hong I didn't keep you waiting have I?"

"No,I just arrived,have a sit Mrs Reyes "

"I won't bet at around the bush,I'll get straight to the point,it's about Jane she is my daughter,it's seems she likes your son and wants to get married to him,am a very determined woman,you understand what am saying?"

"Of course I do,so what do you want?"

"Well am impressed with your straightforward sir,what I want is for you to convince your soon to marry into my family and in return you can get my full support on your upcoming elections "

"Well,that's tempting considering the influence you hold in the business and political world,I won't decline your offer since I know how our world works,I don't want you resorting to any dirty means, I will discuss with my family and give you a call"

"That's good,I will be expecting to hear from you,that said,I have another meeting to attend,shall we".

That's said they both head out to their respective cars and leave.Mrs Reyes went home directly to inform her daughter about the meeting.

"Nanny where is she?"

"Still upstairs madam,she hasn't come down I can hear her sobbing"

"Jane!Jane! open this door,I have something to talk to you about"

"Leave me alone mom,go away"

"Nanny bring me the spear keys"

"Listen dear,I had a meeting with Mr Hong, Jay's father and he has assured me that his son will marry you,am just waiting for his call,now get up,you look haggard"

"Really mom,thanks a lot,I love you"

"I love you too my darling,now take a shower and come down,nanny is preparing something for you, alright?"

"Yes mother".

Mr Hong in his car going back home,he let out a deep sigh of frustration,took a phone from his coat and called his wife.

"Meet me in the office with jay,its important",he said and quickly hang up the phone.

"Jo, let's go,your father sounded very frustrated on the phone,I don't know what happened but it's seem urgent,he requested for you and I in his office,let's hurry up now"

"Okay,let's go then,you are so anxious,what is wrong,do you know something?"

"Quiet asking questions,let's go"

In the office Mr Hong seems anxious, pacing up and down." "I have to convince him at all costs,I can let old sins taint what I have worked so to achieve,I have come too far for all this to crumble down",he whispered.

"Honey,we are here, what's going on,you seem anxious,sit down will you?here,have a glass of water "

"Dad what's going on here?"

"It's you,that's what going on,why did you turn that lady down?"

"You are kidding right?this is what is making you so anxious?"

" No no no my dear son, you have to keep your end of the bargain, do you even know what's in stake right now?

"I don't give a damn about your love life but now I do because it's about to ruin everything that's me and your mother have worked so hard for all this year's,take a look at the file in the table,that's what's making me anxious "

"Who gave you this honey?this is bad,what should we do?"

"The Reyes are proposing marriage, apparently their daughter is head over heels for our son since he saved her"

"Son,what do you think?"

"Am already done with this conversation,I told you guys already that I love someone else and all this political favours that you are thinking about by selling me off, forget about it,am not doing it"

"Son, listen to me,if all this get out,it will ruin our family and you can forget about all this lavish lifestyle you are used too,your father and I will go to prison,do you want tht?,all am asking you if to get married to this lady after a while you can divorce her, alright?"

"No,no mother,am not doing it "

"Enough already,I don't want to hear anymore excuse from you,and my dear stop pleading with him,it's time he man up and take responsibility as a man if he is ever going to be my successor in all this,now you go and call that lady and tell her you are going to marry her, you should at least be able to do if you consider us your family after all ".

With that said Mr Hong rushed out off his office and walked away, leaving his son surprised and a decision to make that will either save or ruin his family and bring everything they have to an end.
