"So you see your body as an extension of yourself?"
"Yes! My body and I are one," Guy said.
It's been a few days since I woke up from my spar with Sensei, I slept for a good four days. Oh and apparently I fractured my right leg. Turns out my body couldn't handle the strain I put on my body to achieve those speeds. that sounds misleading, let me rephrase that, it wasn't the speed that fractured my leg but the method used to achieve said speeds.
I won't be using that method if I can help it.
Shouldn't be a problem though as I can't replicate my performance without another injection.
I didn't really focus on it at the time but it felt good, really good, It wasn't the same feeling I had grown accustomed to. There was more, much more, I could feel the amount of chakra I had at my disposal, no matter how much I used it replenished at an astonishing rate.
The best part, I wasted most of it, I wasn't even able to use a quarter of the Chakra I produced. I immediately released most of it into my surroundings, unable to store it within myself.
I also strained my Chakra system.
So no training of any kind for another week or two, depends on my next check up.
So here I am, having tea with Guy as we talk about how we see ourselves.
"I've always thought of my body as a separate entity," I say.
"Why's that?" Guy asked, as if the very idea was astonishing and he needed to know more.
"I don't know? It's just how it's always been for me, if I couldn't do something it was my body's fault for being weak, and it was my job to remove the weakness."
"That.. is an interesting way to look at it," Guy said, with an uncharacteristically thoughtful look on his face.
"Oh, have you seen another me around the village?" I ask.
"Um.. no?" Guy said confused by my question.
I haven't seen my traitor of a clone sense his creations, nor has my first clone seen him as he didn't even know there was another until I told him.
"Well if you see another me around the village tell him to return to me or I will dismiss him."
"Um…ok?"
…
Music was never something I really took an interest in during my first life, sure I played an instrument in school but I dropped it as soon as I no longer had to play it.
But this is kinda fun.
Probably helps this is just a tiny flute and not something large that needed a protective case that was heavier then my bag.
School.
I wonder what kinda education is available for civilians. I know very about the day to day lives of the civilians of the leaf.
When I first arrived I was surrounded by Shinobi, my first friend was a Shinobi, my first responsibilities were Shinobi related.
I'm a Shinobi.
There's this barrier between Shinobi and civilians, it's not hostile, some Shinobi are hero's to the people after all. But it creates this incredibly high standard of what is expected from a Shinobi.
Look at me for an example.
Most Shinobi know who I am, the 6 year old Genin who's Sensei is Orochimaru, nothing but genius is expected from me now.
Seriously, I get called Little Snake more than Akinori, sure I may prefer to go by my family name, Sozo, but Akinori is still my name.
It's blatantly obvious what is expected of me by the village as a whole.
Little Snake.
Inheritor of Orochimaru the Snake Sannin's Will of Fire.
Oh well it's not like either of us believe in that nonsense.
Now don't get me wrong, I believe Hashirama was genuine in his belief of the Will of Fire, but its been twisted. I literally have proof, Orochimaru has a bunch of stuff from Tobirama, and if there's one thing I know about Lord Second, it's that he writes everything down.
His diet, how he's feeling, but not in a touchy feeling kind of way, more practical, but most informative his arguments with himself. He'll create a case for both sides of his decisions beforehand choosing, even if the correct answer was obvious. One he seemed to have wrestled with quite extensively was his decision to twist the Will of Fire, must have been hard for him to defile Lord First's dream, but he still did it.
For the village.
Tobirama twisted the Will of Fire after his brother's passing, judging from the current Will of Fire, this twisted version is still in effect to this day.
Ironically enough I think Orochimaru likes the idea of the Will of Fire.
To have somebody to carry on his work even if he was no longer around, I'm not a replacement, more of a back up.
Just in case.
I also like that idea.
So I'll pretend to embody the Will of Fire with Orochimaru.
I'm sure that will never back fire onto the village.
