Chapter 6 CHAPTER

AREUM'S POV

When I opened my eyes, I was in a different world, different kingdom, on a bed? But not in my shell bed. This bed is soft and fluffy.

Where am I?

My eyes roam around the huge room and suddenly I felt scared. I am in human land oh God, please help me. I remembered Chan, my bestfriend.

I have to call him. I searched for my shell phone on my pocket but I can't find one because I've got human legs, my tail was gone. And I cried even more.

Then suddenly my eyes spotted a water right infront of me. But how can I jump in that small ocean? A glass is blocking me.

I have to get my tail back. I was about to step down on the floor when suddenly a small creature with gray eyes jumped on the bed and stared at me. It looks fluffy and cute.

The white soft furr made me want to touch her. But then I recognized her as a cat, a cat who ate fishes! My eyes widened in horror and I screamed out loud. "Aaahhhhh don't eat me! Get away from me!" "Hey shut up! You're so noisy!" she rolled on the bed and sat on my lap.

"You smelled like a fish but I won't eat you."

I froze. "You talk?"

"Obviously. What are you doing here in our kingdom? You should go back in your place. You don't belong here in human land." she said, her eyes inspecting me like I was some kind of different species, but I am.

She sniffed smelling my feet, I was so afraid she will eat me anytime.

"I don't know. They took me from under water and left me on the shore. Who took me here?" I asked as I moved away from her.

"My boyfriend took you here in his house. You were unconscious last night." she finally settled herself on the edge of the bed, sitting there but still watching me suspiciously.

"Your boyfriend?" I asked. "What is that mean?"

"A boyfriend means I love him."

"Oh, and he loves you too?"

"Of course! Why would you even ask that?" she stood up from her seat and jumped on my lap making me startled. "He bathes me, feeds me, hugs me and kisses me. All the time. So, he loves me too."

"Okay, so.. he's also a cat?" I asked innocently.

Her brows furrowed. "Yes. Oh no, I mean he looked like a cat but he's a human."

"Oh, okay." I nodded. I didn't know humans and animals can have a relationship.

"What is your name?"

"My name is Luna, see my name tag here?" she showed me a silver plate dangling on her neck. "And my boyfriend's name is Wonwoo."

"Wonwoo?"

"Yes Jeon Wonwoo." her eyes fluttered like she was day dreaming. She's really in love with her boyfriend.

"Luna, can you help me get into that ocean? I miss my tail, I want my tail back." I cried again as I realized my situation right now. I can't stay here longer. I need to get back in the ocean.

"You can't--"

"Areum, my name is Areum."

"You can't just swim around Areum and that is a swimming pool not an ocean. Wonwoo might see you and he doesn't know that you're a mermaid." she licked my face and I hugged her while I cried. "Humans are afraid of mermaids, and they don't even know if you guys truly exist." She licked my hand telling me to stop crying when suddenly the door bursts open.

"Oh, you're awake? How are you feeling Miss?"

"It was you!" I shouted, my forefinger pointed at him.

"Me?" he asked, his face was confused.

"Yes, you were the man who hit my head with the bottle!" I remembered him, he was the man on the yacht.

"Uh, where? I'm sorry Miss but I don't remember you and if you think I really did that, I'm sorry, might be an accident." he said sincerely. I looked down feeling guilty. "I'm sorry too if I hit you back."

"You what?" his eyes widened and I covered my mouth with my hands.

"Oh nothing, nothing. Just forget it." I removed the blanket away from my body because I felt hot, so hot that I want to jump in the water. I was about to stand up when Wonwoo stopped me and immediately covered my body again with the blanket.

"Hey hey! What are you doing?" he asked, his hands stopping me.

"It's hot!" I tried to push him away from me but he's too strong. "Wait Miss, you can't just walked around here in my house naked!" he yelled and I frowned.

"Why not? I was always like this in our kingdom, always naked!"

"You idiot!" Luna suddenly interrupts. I turned on her and my brows furrowed.

"What is that mean?" I saw from the corner of my eye that Wonwoo's face frowned, watching me while I talked to his girlfriend.

"Idiot means dumb! You have no brain, idiot!" she answered, snapping at me.

"No! I have a brain. You are idiot not me!"

"Woah! Wait there Miss, are you still high or something? Why are you talking to my cat? And what place were you from that you're always naked? Don't tell me you came from Eden Paradise with Adan and Eve? Oh my God, I can't!" He laughed out loud, almost rolled on the floor.

Why is this man laughing? Am I joking?

I turned my head to Luna and she was also laughing but it sounded like meow meow meow. I folded my arms across on my chest and lifted my chin up." Yes, I am talking to this cat. Why? Don't you talk to your girlfriend?"

"My what?" and he laughed even more, louder this time making me irritated. I glared at him and Luna glared at me too. She's not laughing anymore.

"What?" I asked her and she gritted her teeth.

"Ah shit! Stop now okay, my stomach hurts woah!" he sat back on the bed facing me. "You know what, I haven't laugh like that for a very long time. Thank you, oh my god." he wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes and made a small laugh at the same time.

Is he idiot?

"But Luna said she's your girlfriend!" I won't give up. I don't want him to look at me like I'm a big idiot.

"Sssshhh, shut up bitch! He doesn't know!" Luna turned red, she looked at me with murderous expression.

"Oh, Luna said you didn't know that she's your girlfriend. Bitch? What is bitch?" I asked, clueless.

Wonwoo's face turned serious. "Please Miss, stop this nonsense okay? You might still be high from drugs or whatever you took last night. You should take a rest first. Wait here, I'll bring you something to eat." He left with Luna who was still mad at me, her eyes turned orange like a fire.
