Chapter 2: The order

"Maybe"Raixa shrugged as she went back under the water

"So can we go? please girls"Tressa said looking at her friends with pleading eyes. She really wanted to see the palace. Her father had told her of how beautiful the palace looked and she was so anxious to see it

"Well my parents travelled to another town and won't be back till next week so I guess Yes I could go"Lin said and they all turned to Raixa who had already come out of the water and was now drying up to wear her clothes

"Fine. I don't have anything doing at home anyway. See you later girls ' She said. After bidding her friends good bye she headed for her house. When she arrived at the house she found Elise seated before the sewing machine obviously sewing. She was utterly shocked

Never had she seen Elise attempt to sew. When they were growing up she was the one who was always interested in sewing. Not that Elise couldn't do it, all of them could. She just never showed any interest. The only thing Elise had real interest in was looking beautiful.And indeed she was a beauty. She had shoulder length brown hair and charming honey brown eyes. Most men in their village worshipped the ground she stepped on

"My my, did the sun rise from the west today?"Raixa asked as she sat down beside Elise with a smile on her face. However Elise only gave her a paper to read. It looked like a letter. When she opened it she saw a familiar handwriting. . IT belonged to Shana

"So you see the sun did rise from the west". Elise said clearly excited as she worked on. Raixa read the letter many times over to be sure. Shana had pleaded with them that all her clothes were worn out and she needed new ones. She also needed one for Halo. So she had asked them to sew her a couple of dresses all with fabric

Shana was a very close friend of Elise. Last year she caught the eye of a duke who married her and now she lived in the capital. At least she never forget her friends. They always wrote each other letters through the national mail

"This is a really big offer for mom. Besides will you be going for the festival of Halo at the palace?" Elise asked. She knew Raixa also wanted to see the palace but it was for different reasons. Unlike her who wished to catch the eye of some handsome noble Raixa might go there just for adventure

Raixa was always the craziest amongst them. She was used to going to far off towns to sell or deliver clothes. She and her sister had different taste. Elise was more of a fashion addict always saving money to buy cute yet revealing clothes. Raixa on the other side used her allowance to buy only the things she needed. The leftovers were stored in a handmade bank and hidden safely for a big event

'Tressa and Lin are going and they insist I come too so I will go "

"I do hope I catch the eye of a handsome man there "

"Don't worry about that right now. Beside you are a striking beauty and most of the men there will have their eyes on you " Raixa told Elise who smiled happily. Leaving Elise who was still dreaming of her future prince charming she decided to go out to the market and buy more fabric.

"Good morning beautiful lady " She heard a familiar voice behind her causing her to groan however she kept on her pace. She was in no mood for Jimmy's jokes right now
