31 - Starting the Academy Entrance Exam

Victor got up early the next day, getting out of his small bed and got dressed into his school uniform before leaving his room.

Entering the kitchen he put on an apron and started to make breakfast for three, first he started with bacon and sausages before moving on to scrambled eggs and toast.

It wasn't long before Violet entered the apartment and sat down at the table waiting for Victor to finish making their food.

"It's nearly done can you go and wake up Michael please." Victor asked her as he started to serve all the food.

"Ok" Violet nodded as she put her phone away before walking over to Michael's room and knocking on the door.

Only to find it open, so she pushed it open only to see Michael slumped over his desk asleep.

Covering the desk and floor around him was not only school text books but also Victor's notes over the year.

"Really how long was he studying for?" Violet couldn't help but shake her head as she went over and tapped him on his shoulder to wake him up.

"Come on breakfast." Michael slowly woke up and wiped the drool of his face.

"I'm coming, coming.." He slowly came too as he yawned and got up to get dressed.

Violet left his room shutting the door before sitting down at the table once more.

Victor started to place the food on the table as Michael came out of his room wearing his school uniform in an untidy way, scratching his belly as he yawned Michael joined Violet at the table.

As soon as Michael sat down he opened a book and continued to study while digging into his food.

"Here I got them just for you, and you better be grateful they weren't easy to get on such short notice." Violet said as she passed a bag full of items over to Victor.

"Thank you, this will allow me to do the special test." Victor's eyes had a slight light of excitement and happiness even though his face stayed its normal stone cold appearance.

Which was a weird contrast but both Violet and Michael were long used to this and after being with Victor for so many years they especially could easily tell what Victor's emotions were.

So even though Victor didn't seem excited they could easily tell he was actually excited to receive these items.

"What did you want anyway?" Michael asked as he ate one of his sausages.

"He asked for a few different magic materials that weren't hard to get but two." She turned to Victor who was checking everything in the bag before asking.

"What did you need an Undeath crystal and Soul Shard for? I'll have you know it wasn't easy to get them, after all even though they are low Tier resources it isn't easy to get death or Undeath stuff you know." Violet complained as she finished her breakfast.

Out of the ten or so things Victor wanted all of them were quite easy for her to get but those two, as there aren't many sources to obtain Undeath or Death type items.

From skills, spells to even simple stuff, and this made it much more expensive than other stuff of the same Tier.

"Oh, I need it to activate a certain ability, if you want to see I'm about to start the ceremony now that I have everything." Victor said he finished his food as well.

"Oh? I've never heard of any summoning ability that uses Undeath Crystal and Soul Shard before." Violet said interested, some powerful or rare Summons require a ritual to Summon them for the first time and then they have to sign a contract with the Summon.

Of course this isn't the case for all Summons but Summoning that requires this usually is for permanent Summons that grow with the Summoner.

So Violet is quite interested in what Victor would summon.

"You're going to have to hurry up, after all we need to leave soon." Violet added seeing Victor walk over to an area he opened up earlier.

Victor started to draw a magic circle using monster blood on a plastic sheet he had laid out, after all he's the one who keeps the apartment clean.

After finishing the circle he started to place each of the items down with the Undeath crystal and Soul Shard in the middle.

Using a kitchen knife Victor cut the back of his arm lightly just enough to draw blood before dropping his blood down on to the magic Circle.

A light bluish purple light came from the Magic Circle as a figure appeared in the light.

"Oh my, now that's interesting." Violet said seeing what Victor had Summoned.

Violet's car stopped in front of 1st High, along with dozens of other cars and buses stopping to drop off students.

It was currently abuzz with activity as students panicked while getting as much last minute studying in. While parents who dropped off their kids wished them luck and to do their absolute best.

But on Victor's side Violet kicked Michael out of her car, while Victor got out with his school bag as he did some like reading over his notes

"Hey! what was that for!?!" Michael yelled at Violet as he got up from the ground, he was so focused on studying that he didn't realise that they had arrived so Violet 'woke him up'.

"What you didn't reply at all, hey Victor." Violet said innocently as she used Victor as a shield.

"No you didn't even say anything! Isn't that right Vic."

"It starts soon." Victor said checking the time, not wanting to be a part of the two's back and forth.

"Well you guys go in, while I find a spot to park my car." Violet ruffled both their heads before getting back into her car.

Parents can come into a viewing room to watch the exams, it has become sort of a tradition to the point that it's pretty much a public holiday.

"Come on we need to go to class." Victor said as he started to leave moving through the crowd, even though it was crowded today there were only students taking the exams and their families wished them luck.

At the school gate was a bunch of teachers watching the different students and families.

Making sure that only students entered at this moment, Victor and Michael walked past them after scanning their student IDs.

They walked over to a group of large screens showing which room each student had to go too.

"I'm in the Assembly hall you're in.... there too." Michael searched the list of different names before finding where they had to go.

Walking down the path they entered the school and made their way to the large hall., just outside were a bunch of teachers checking students for their phones or any cheat notes.

Setting down their bags and putting away anything they weren't allowed they walked over to one of the lines for the teachers to check them.

"I heard that this year will be especially hard with the Academy Games approaching." A student couldn't help but nervously say to her friends.

"No way, it's already hard enough why do we have to take an even harder exam." Another student complained while upset.

"The knowledge test is already almost 9 hours long covering everything we've learnt and now we have to take the rest of the test without even a proper break it's so unfair." Other students couldn't help but join in.

It wasn't long before it was Victor's turn.

"Now you know the rules, no phones or notes you're only allowed to have a clear water bottle that's it. If you need to go to the bathroom then raise your hand and don't make any noise, and you're only allowed to look forwards." The teacher explained while checking Victor for hiding anything he wasn't allowed.

"Now do you have any questions before you go in?" The Teacher marked Victor off a list as he finished up.

"Yes where do I sit?" Victor asked before going in.

"Oh, your name will be on the tablet on the desk." The teacher said before calling the next student forwards.

Victor entered into the huge hall that had hundreds of desks set up each with a tablet set up on them.

Moving through the rows he quickly found the tablet with his name on it, he sat down and took a quick look at the quickly filling room.

Michael was in the 5th row three rows ahead of Victor, Michael was also taking a look around the room before he started to pray?

Victor on the other hand wasn't stressed like Michael, instead he relaxed and closed his eyes waiting for the exam to officially begin.

Now I just want to let you all know that the upload of new chapters has changed to every second day now.

This is to allow myself to hopefully write extra chapters or if I can't write one for ever reason I still have time to.

So anyway I can't wait for us to enter the Academy and explore new characters, stories and learn more about the large beautiful world I have created (At least I hope it is).

Recently I've tried to have more world building or at least inform you all about how this world works in some way, but there will be more information soon after Victor leaves Flora City.

Especially with all the new locations, characters and information that Victor will learn and discover soon.

As I have said before (At least I think I have) the academy is where a lot of info and knowledge about magic, classes, the world, counties and things in general will be discussed.

After all why have teachers and school if they don't do what they were created to do in the first place.
