30 - Aftermath

"It's not like I try to get into trouble, it's either Michael's fault or it's my stupid bad luck." Victor replied feeling a little attacked.

"Well if it's that little trouble maker I can understand why." She replied nodding her head with a look of realisation.

"Y-YOU DARE TO IGNORE ME! BRONZE TIGER FIST!!" The Investigator yelled before charging at the young woman.

= Bronze Trigger Fist =

His arm turned into a bronze colour as a Bronze tiger made of aura materialised behind him.

"Take this you B*tch!!" His attack grew closer as his eyes were red, full of rage.

"Can't you see I'm talking to my nephew." Her face soured as she raised her palm in his direction.

"Refection." Her words contained a weight of power before her hand glowed slightly.

His fist stopped in front of her, dead in its tracks.

"What!?" He didn't have any time to react before a huge force came from the point his fist hit.

"BANG!" A huge force pushed him starting from his fist and along his arm before he was sent flying across the room.

"BOOM!" He slammed into the wall breaking through it and the next before coming to a sliding stop on his face.

"Next time shut the hell up when I'm talking." She said while slightly waving her hand in his direction lightly, like he was nothing more than a fly.

The guards ran forwards to secure him.

"H-He's unconscious!" The Guards were in disbelief and looked back at the young woman with a new found respect.

She didn't pay anymore attention to them as the Guards cuffed the ex-investigator, instead she walked over to Victor and sat down opposite him and undid his hand cuffs.

"haa, it's in bad shape, here take this." She checked his wounds which he flinched in pain from.

Then she pulled out a health potion from thin air and handed it over to Victor.

[ Tier 2 - Potion of Healing ]

Victor took the potion and tried to open it but winced in pain at moving his wrists.

"Here let me." She took it from him and opened it for him.

Immediately after drinking it he felt heat in his throat that went down to his stomach before spreading all over his body healing it.

"Thank you Auntie Violet." Victor said leaning back in relief as he felt his sore wrists.

"Is that what you say to me after I save your butt?" Violet asked back.

"Well Thank you for your help, but I thought you would have come sooner." Victor answered her.

"Huh? What do you mean?" She asked not understanding what Victor meant.

"Well considering that you were there when we got detained, I thought you would have been here as soon as I stepped into this room." Victor clarified.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked back with slight nervousness in her voice.

"Well we did just invite you out for food, not to mention Michael even waved over at you Granny Lola." Victor smirked at her upon seeing the shock in her eyes.

"What gave me away?" She leaned fully back in her chair as she sighed, her earlier image completely ruined.

"Well the first time Michael made food for us after moving here of course, as soon as you found out he had made it you wanted nothing to do with it.

That combined with the fact you're amazing at illusion magic, well it was only natural that it would be you Auntie." Victor smiled seeing her face change.

"You mean to tell me you figured it out and knew for nearly six years and said nothing, not even hinting that you knew?!" She grew frustrated at this knowledge.

"Man, you are too much like Bis sis aren't you, sometimes it's scary how smart you are just like her..." Her words made a sad smile appear on Victor's and her own face.

"Anyway does that little sh*t know?" Breaking their awkward silence she asked.

"Who? Michael? Nah he doesn't although if he put his mind to it I have no doubt that he would have figured it out." Victor smiled seeing her let out a breath of relief.

"Thank the goddess. Anyway let's get out of here, after all you two have your exam in a few hours." She stood up with her hands behind her head.

"Oh so I've been here for that long huh?" Victor followed her out the door after grabbing his stuff.

Seeing Victor taking special care with the necklace Violet eyes couldn't help but contain a sad light.

"Come on we still have to get that annoying turd." Violet said walking along the hallway.

"You know that's not nice, after all his family." Victor told her off.

"Ha him and I related? There's no way I'm related to that noisy annoying monkey." She denied straight away as she looked away.

Soon they opened the door to the room which held Michael and unlocked him from his cuffs.

"Aunt Violet, it's so good to see you!" Michael happily ran forwards for a hug but was pushed away.

"Hupf, who do you think you are trying to hug me." She flicked his forehead.

"But we're family." Michael rubbed his forehead which quickly turned red.

Violet Wise is Victor's aunty, his mother's younger sister, bright golden blonde hair with Violet purple eyes that she was named after.

She was a Tier 4 level 198 Superior Great Magic Illusionist, a Royalty Grade Class.

So there is only one person in this region that is stronger than her, but outside of this person there is no one in the surrounding 10 Cities in this region that can fight against her.

And the person stronger than her would be this region's protector from the Military, who would be in Tier 5 level strength.

And she's only a few years older than Victor.

She and Michael argued back and forth as they left the building.

"Hey Aunty Violet can you do me a favour?" Victor all of the sudden asked interrupting her and Michael.

"Huh? Well it depends but sure but don't call me Aunty anymore it makes me feel old." She answered while holding her chin and looking over at Victor with a grumpy face.

"Sigh, Big Sis I need your help to get a few things before the exam." Victor said handing over a list of items.

"Ah, I want to but you know that I'm not meant to help you unless absolutely necessary." She answered with a happy face while reading the list.

"No I'm just asking if you can get them for me before the exams, I'll pay for them. I'm going to need them if I want to get a good score." Victor pointed out a way that she could help without breaking any family rules.

"Sigh, fine I'll see what I can do but only because you're my little Brother." She reluctantly agreed but had a happy smile on her face.

"What about me Big Sister?" Michael asked trying to look cute as he grabbed her arm.

"Get away, you creep." She looked disgusted and threw him off as they once again started to throw insults at each other.

"These two..." Victor shook his head lightly as a slight smile made its way on to his face.

"Ha, he smiled." Michael said happily with a large smile, which also made its way on Violet's face.

"Yes I think I can see a smile on that stone face." Violet hugged Michael over his shoulder as they both celebrated.

"All that just for a smile, Sigh." Victor's smile grew slightly larger as he sighed before his face went back to its emotionless expression.

"Anyway come on let's get you two something to eat and some rest before your exams." Violet ruffled both their hair as she led them over to her car.

"No I can't sleep I need to study!" Michael began to freak out at realising that the test was only 9 hours away and they still had to get to the school to take it.

And that he hadn't studied even a little bit.

"It's fine you can study after we grab take out." Violet waved off his worries as she got into her car.

Normal cars are super expensive and aren't worth using as the car isn't the thing that makes it expensive but instead it's the fuel.

As almost all of the land is the territory of monsters, it makes it incredibly hard to obtain and keep high resource areas.

So fuel for vehicles is super expensive, and so almost all vehicles are electric much like Violet's car.

In fact according to what teachers and travelers visiting have said, in higher Tier cities and higher level areas most people use tamed mounts or pets to get around.

And because Flora City is in a low Tier area without any resources, it's not worth wasting your time if you are your Tier one or above.

So the City is a little backwards compared to other cities. The strongest person outside of Violet is only Tier 2.

So it's every parent's dream that their children can get into a good academy and leave this city to one with more opportunities and resources.

You would be right in saying that Flora City is basically out in the country and far from the City.
