What's with this kid?!

Sebastian sat on the floor of an abandoned building with the strange nameless boy sitting across from him. The boy took him here, the reason, Sebastian couldn't tell.

Now, they were cooking some of the meat they got from the wolves. But there was only one thing on Sebastian's mind. Learning more about the boy in front of him.

'With this boy's carefree attitude and carelessness, it's safe to assume he's not from a secret organization.' He thought looking at the boy munching away in front of him, looking very satisfied.

'But that begs the question, what the hell is he?'

Sebastian was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the boy staring at him.

"You haven't eaten yet." The boy said, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Umm, well-"

"Are you that interested in me?"

"What?" Sebastian stared in shock, the boy really saw through him? That quickly?

"If you want to know, I'll tell you-" The boy said taking another bite of the meat.

"But you'll have to answer some of my questions too. Deal?" The boy reached out his hand, his cold unbothered expression unchanged.

Sebastian sighed 'I underestimated him, I'll have to be more careful with the questions I ask and the ones I answer."

He grabbed the boy's hand and shook it "Deal."

"First question-" Sebastian activated his ability Verity, this was a 7-star skill that determined whether people were telling the truth or not.

"What's your rank?" Sebastian asked. Soon, silence filled the room.

The boy tilted his head to the side "Rank? What are you talking about?"

A word flashed into Sebastian's causing him to flinch 'TRUTH'.

"Y-you don't know what a r-rank is?" Sebastian asked in shock.

"Nope." The boy shook his head, casually eating his meat.

"What about your status screen?! Can't you just check that?!"

The boy only stared in confusion until Sebastian talked once again.

"You really don't know huh? T-that's..."

"...interesting..." Sebastian said under his breath, a mischievous smile dawing his face.

Sebastian then smiled casually "Try saying 'Status' and see what happens.", he said with a grin on his face.

The boy stared at him, a little confused but did as he said. "[Status]"

Suddenly, a strange red screen appeared beside him.

"This is...so cool!" The boy exclaimed, his expressionless face finally changing into a wide grin, his eyes looking in awe as he carefully studied the status screen. Sebastian desperately tried to hold back his laughter, he really didn't expect this stone-cold boy to get that excited over something that everyone can use.

Hearing Sebastian's suppressed laughter, that boy cleared his throat "Ahem!" Sebastian straightened up in response.

"You want to know my overall rank right?" The boy said, "It says I'm a D-rank."

Once again, a word flashed into Sebastian's mind 'TRUTH'.

"Ah, D! I see that-" Sebastian froze in shock "D?! Just D?! Are you sure?!" He grabbed the boy's shoulder and shook him.

"Y-yeah, that's what it says."

Sebastian was still suffering in shock "T-there's no way...something's off here...but if Verity says it's true..." He mumbled to himself.

The boy pushed Sebastian off and spoke "It's my turn now."

Sebastian snapped out of shock and responded "Oh...uh, yeah go ahead."

"Sebastian Thorne. Son of Cedric Thorne and the only heir to Steel Hawk guild."

Sebastian held his head proudly hearing this. Of course, the boy had heard of him; everyone had. He was simply that popular.

But to his surprise, the boy continued talking.

"Also known as 'Sovereign', the leader of Phantom Oath Troupe, A group of assassins."

Sebastian stiffened "W-what?"

"Also goes by the alias 'Necro', a black market merchant that sells 'interesting' goods" He continued.

"Should I go on-?" Suddenly, a large two-handed long sword lunged past the boy's face. Its black blade shone as the blood from his cheek trickled down it.

"Guess not." The boy said amused. A large grin occupied his face.

"You should've just kept quiet kid." Sebastian said, his cold glare looking down on the boy.

The grin on the boy's face widened. His cold and lifeless gleamed with excitement and light returned to his eyes.

His once emotionless voice filled with laughter as he spoke.

"That wouldn't be any fun~!"
