Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I haven't posted any chapters this week. It was a rough one for me since I had exams all week without any time to post anything. Fortunately, I restarted posting them so here's today's chapter. I'm sorry it's shorter than usual.
Thanks and enjoy today's chapter!
Peace!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
At that moment, the rescuers' eyes met and Percy shouted,
"NOW!"
And all Hades broke loose.
Thalia and Bianca went for Luke while Zoe, Percy and Isaiah went for Atlas. The demigod took his sword and slashed Atlas who effortlessly blocked it with his javelin.
"How foolish! Just because you fought against that puny war god, you think you can stand against me?" Atlas mockingly said.
"Run! You can't fight him!" shouted Artemis beneath the weight of the sky.
Percy was sent back due to the force of Atlas's block. The titan then raised his javelin,
"Now that you have challenged me, I shall reciprocate. Die, young hero!" he shouted before motioning to throw his weapon.
However, before he could complete his action, a tao mandala flew into the air and hit his arm making him miss and pierce the floor beside the demigod.
The General looked at the disks that returned to their owner.
"Isaiah Sharpe."
The boy raised an eyebrow,
"You know me?"
Atlas chuckled, "Yes, I've heard about you."
"Not many should know about me unless someone from camp already told you."
"That would be correct, but what are you doing here? Last time I heard, your people do not meddle with the Greek world."
"Oh no. They are not getting involved in this. It's just me."
"Then you will die just like the rest of them. Although, I suppose it explains why you are all early here.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that."
At that moment, Zoe shot an arrow in the chink of his armour making him roar in pain and rage. In the moment of distraction, Isaiah projected two daggers and threw them toward Atlas's eyes while increasing their speed using telekinesis. However, Atlas was not called the Titan of Endurance for nothing. He quickly pulled out the arrow and smacked the flying weapons away. Percy then took his sword and ran towards Atlas once again. Seeing that the titan was weaponless, he took advantage of it and went for an attack. However, just as he was about to land a hit, he felt his sword become too heavy to lift.
'Noooo!' the demigod thought as he saw the fist of the General about to smash unto him and turn him into pulp.
He stood frozen as the fist almost reached him when a whip made of energy wrapped around his waist and pulled him. The son of the Sea then landed beside Isaiah and the fist smashed into the ground creating an explosion and a crater.
"What happened?"
"Ares." the demigod growled.
"What would he be doing here?"
Percy shook his head,
"He's not here, but he cursed me two years ago that my weapon would fail when I need it the most."
Isaiah nodded. Percy's sword returned to his pocket and he moved into his stance one more.
"What should we do?" he asked.
"We have to get him back under the sky."
"Okay. How?"
Before Isaiah could answer, Atlas spoke again.
"Those are quite the reflexes you have for a mortal, but I supposed that's normal for sorcerers like you. Otherwise, I would have been sorely disappointed."
"Well, I aim to please," Isaiah replied.
He then saw an arrow zooming towards Atlas once more, but in a surprising feat of reflexes for one his size, he caught it in his hand. he snarled and snapped the arrow in half. At that moment, Percy went for Atlas once more. The titan had already retrieved his javelin and slashed Percy, but the latter parried it and slashed his enemy's ankle.
Unfortunately, it simply left a scratch.
"What!?"
"HAHAHA! I am the titan of Strength and Endurance who holds the sky from crashing onto Earth. Do you think a mere sword can cut me!" he bellowed and attempted to stab his javelin at the demigod.
Using his superhuman reflexes and agility, Percy rolled away and ran back to Isaiah.
"We can't fight him for long! What should we do?" Zoe shouted as she notched another arrow into her bow and shot it at her father.
"Give up insects! You can't do anything! The gods will fall and the titans will rule the world once more!"
Isaiah glanced at the battle between Luke, Thalia and Bianca. The battle was going pretty well on their side as they were two people against one. But it wouldn't last long as he noticed a ship docked below the cliff. He saw monsters getting off the ship and realized that they would soon join the fight. They would have to finish it soon and leave. He looked at Percy dodging the titan's attack while Zoe supported him.
'It would have been much easier if I had the option to kill him. And any higher tier spell would be too dangerous here since this place is too small and the sky is right there.'
Up until now, only her arrows were effective enough to bother their enemy.
'It must be because of Artemis's blessing.'
That's when he widened his eyes.
'We don't even need to damage him!'
He immediately turned around and walked up to Artemis while Percy and Zoe kept Atlas occupied. The goddess had a helpless look as she watched the fight. She then saw Isaiah approaching her.
"What are you doing, boy!?"
"I came for your help."
"I would help if I could. Unfortunately, I'm stuck under the sky," she replied with gritted teeth.
"Then I'll give you an opportunity," the boy said.
He then destroyed her chains.
"I'm going to bring Atlas to you then you'll know what to do," he said before turning back towards the fight.
He walked up to Zoe and Percy who was in front of her.
"Guys, I'm going to need your help."Both of them looked at him and Zoe asked.
"What do you need us to do?"
"To support me. I'm going to try to bring Atlas to Artemis."
"Alright!" they both said and Zoe shot another arrow in Atlas's armour.
However, Isaiah had another plan for Percy.
"Percy, I need you to hold off the monsters that are about to join the battle over there," he said as he pointed at the incoming monsters.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, now go!"
"On it!" and Percy dashed towards the cliff.
Isaiah then returned his eyes to Atlas who was waiting for them.
"Are done with your little planning?" the titan mockingly asked.
The boy smiled at him,
"Yeah, thanks for that."
Atlas then gave him a wicked grin.
"Good because those were your last words before I snuff your life out," he responded before taking his javelin and barreling towards the duo.
He flooded his body with Universal energy and reinforced it creating a perpetual motion between the two spells to surpass the limits of his body.
'I can only use this technique for around three minutes before my body explodes. I have to be fast.'
His body glowed as the circuit-like lines appeared all over his body with the familiar crackling of Eldritch magic circulating through him. He then took off his glasses and projected two daggers before dashing towards Atlas. Zoe shot another arrow into Atlas's forehead.
"AARGH! You little pest!" he shouted as he pulled the arrow out.
Fortunately, that made him stop on the track that the boy took advantage of. With his eyes, now free from his glasses, he could see the cracked world as lines of Death appeared everywhere. He looked upon Atlas's body and saw several lines on him. However, those were not the lines he was looking for. Not a second later, he cast a spell and his perception of time increased as everything else began to move slower as if time has been tampered with. This was another spell he had learned from his visions: (Thought Acceleration). He could see Atlas moving as he raised his javelin to strike Isaiah down. The boy then found them. The lines of Death he wanted to cut.
He could see Atlas react to the slash and change the javelin's direction to him. Although the titan was fast, Isaiah was as fast with the combination of mana and Universal energy coursing through him that allowed him to match the immortal's speed. He dodged the strike and went to launch one of his own but was blocked again.
"Seems you've gotten faster and stronger, little insect. But it's not like it's going to help you. You will die just like the rest of them." Atlas said seeing the human's speed and strength.
Isaiah grinned before thinking,
'I have to get rid of his weapon.'
He saw the multiple lines on the weapon and his armour.
"This is the end!" the giant shouted gleefully as he raised his javelin to strike Isaiah one last time.
"ISAIAH!" shouted Zoe when her father was about to kill the boy.
However, Isaiah then slashed his daggers in wide arcs. The titan widened his eyes in shock when he saw his javelin and armour break apart into pieces.
"WHAT!? What did you do!?" He shouted when he found himself weaponless and undefended.
Without wasting time, Zoe shot arrows after arrows and they embedded themselves into the titan's flesh. Isaiah looked at the battlefield and saw Percy holding off the monsters and enemy demigods using water while Thalia and Bianca were still fighting Luke. He could see the lightning crackling on Thalia's spear while Bianca had black knives.
'Where did she get those?' He shook his head, 'Now is not the time to think about that.'
He turned his attention back to Atlas who turned his attention towards Zoe and started running towards her. Fortunately, Zoe was in front of her mistress, therefore, making Isaiah's job easier for him.
The boy shot multiple shots of Gandr and flooded more Universal energy into himself to the point that he felt like bursting and kicked the ground leaving an explosion of dust and a crater as he zoomed to Atlas.
"ARTEMIS!" he shouted.
The goddess looked at Isaiah and her eyes sharpened as she looked at the boy zooming towards the titan. However, the shout also caught the latter's attention.
"Wha-"
He turned around to see only to have a living canon ball dropkick him into his head. The force of the unexpected attack knocked him back and onto the ground right in front of the goddess who dropped the weight of the sky on him.
"NOOOOO! NOT AGAAAAAIIIIIINNNN!" he bellowed so loud that everyone could hear him as he caught the burden and had to lift it lest he crushed himself and all of San Franciso. As soon as he saw Atlas back into his place, he released the technique and panted as he tried to catch his breath. He could feel his blood drip from the numerous cracks of his skin because of his technique and sighed.
'I should probably not use this technique for a few days. I haven't learned any healing spell yet.' he thought.
"My lady!" shouted Zoe when she saw Artemis had been released from her prison.
"Zoe." the goddess replied exhausted.
"My lady! We have to go! We will soon be overwhelmed by the enemy." her Hunter explained to her.
The goddess of Hunt turned to the boy,
"Thank you, b-no Isaiah, for your help," Artemis said.
"No problem, Artemis. I'll go gather everyone then open a portal."
Isaiah looked at Percy who was starting to get tired from using his powers on the enemies that were swarming from the boat and Thalia and Bianca had Luke at spearpoint. He could hear Atlas spouting curses from under the sky.
He walked over to the girls when Luke suddenly went to grab her spear. With her ingrained reflexes, Thalia kicked him away. Unfortunately, she kicked him over the cliff.
"LUKE!" she shouted as the teen fell into the water.
Seeing their leader fall into the water, the monsters of the Princess Andromeda attacked with renewed strength.
"Guys, I can't hold them for long!" Percy shouted.
Isaiah arrived in front of the girls. Thalia had fallen to her knees while Bianca stared at where Luke had fallen with silent shock.
"We have to go, girls. I'll open a portal," he said.
They both turned to him and he could see the daughter of Zeus had tears brimming her eyes.
"Bu-But Luke."
"We c-can't stay, Thalia. there's nothing we can do for Luke." Bianca said after recovering from her shock.
Thalia gave a shaky nod before going over to Artemis and Zoe with Bianca following behind.
"Percy, come one!" Isaiah shouted to Percy.
The latter saw the group and released his control over the water and quickly rejoined the group.
Isaiah stood in front of the five and opened a portal to Camp Half-Blood where the six quickly ran through before anyone else could come through. Isaiah quickly closed the gateway and they all panted to catch their breath.
"Where are we?" asked Zoe.
"We're in the forest of Camp Half-Blood," Artemis replied.
"Oh. Good." Percy said before falling to the ground and lying there.
"Percy!" Thalia shouted.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm just a little tired." the boy replied.
Isaiah felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around the see, Bianca.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
At that moment, she saw the blood seeping through his clothes.
"Oh my god! You're injured!" she exclaimed, but Isaiah simply waved his hand.
"That's okay. The wounds are just superficial. They will heal soon." he replied.
Bianca still looked worried, but she didn't ask.
And so the quest to rescue Artemis had finally ended. Suddenly, Isaiah lurched forward as his eyes rolled back. He could faintly hear the other's voices in the distance before he was swallowed by darkness.
I wanted to ask if anyone had an idea of where to ask if I wanted someone to draw a cover page for both my fanfiction.
Thanks!
