Chapter 7 Quirk Apprehension Test

"Finally we've made it!" Izuku said with tears in his eyes. Currently, he and Jin were in front of U.A getting ready to enter. "Ya lets show them the result of our training." Jin said with a smirk. 'This test will be a piece of cake.' He thought as they walked into U.A.

Inside they went and headed for class 1-A. 'It seems that much hasn't changed since we're both in 1-A.' Jin thought as they reached the door. "Why is this door so big? Is it for giants!?" Izuku said with surprise as he opened the door.

"Take your feet off that desk now!" Tenya said while looking at Bakugo in annoyance. "You're kidding me right...." Bakugo replied before being cut off. "Shut up, dumb ass." Jin said while walking into class and sitting down.

"You w-what did you say to me!?" Bakugo said while setting off explosions. "I said, Shut up dumb ass." Jin reiterated. "Hmph!" Bakugo scowled before ignoring Jin.

While this was going on Izuku was standing at the door not knowing what to do when Uraraka arrived and they began to chat.

Immediately after Shota Aizawa appeared and told them to wear their Gym Uniforms. After he took them outside to the Quirk Apprehension Test area.

"Ehem! I will now be conducting 8 test to check your potential. You will be allowed to use your quirks so I can see what you can and can't do." Aizawa said while looking at the students.

"Wow so cool."

"We were never allowed to do that in school!"

Some of the students said in excitement while getting ready to have some fun. "What? Do you think this is a game, this a test to see if you're worthy to be a hero or not! The last place among you will get expelled!" Aizawa said while glaring at them.

"What!? That's not fair!" Uraraka said while looking indignant. "Hmph! You're naive, do you think natural disasters are fair or power-hungry villains? Or catastrophic accidents which wipe out a whole city? A hero's job is to combat unfairness, for the next 3 years U.A will throw one hardship after another at you."

After this speech, everyone became resolute and were ready to do their best. "Anyway, let's get this show on the road. Let the games begin!" Aizawa said before telling them that the 50meter dash was first.

The first participants got ready to start while Izuku also began to prepare. 'He has to try harder than anyone else, but I'm sure he'll become a hero!' Jin thought while looking at his friend, no his family.

Soon it was Jin's turn and as he walked towards the starting point the Eye of Solomon appeared between his brows along with 5 distinct lines. There were now 3 more lines extending from the Eye of Solomon. One went directly upward at 90 degrees while the other 2 went down towards his eyes.

"Wait, what is that!? You didn't have a quirk!" Bakugo said as he looked at Jin's face. "The keyword is didn't." Jin said while walking getting ready at the starting point. 'What does he mean by that!?' Bakugo thought in annoyance.

On the sidelines though, people were watching Jin's face and some of them had shocking realizations. "Wait, isn't that the Golden Fiend!?" One of the students exclaimed in shock as they looked at Jin, he had garnered a rep after the entrance exam.

They dubbed him the Golden Fiend due to the distinct golden marking on his face and his crazy battle-hungry nature. On the sidelines, All Might was watching and as he witnessed this scene and recalled the entrance exam he couldn't help but wonder if he chose wrongly.

"On your marks! Get set! GO!" Aizawa shouted and with that, they blasted off. In an instant Jin reached the end, he was so quick that the machine couldn't even react.

"What the!?" Aizawa said after processing what had just occurred. The other students were stunned as well, so much so that the ones who were meant to be running were stunned in shock. "Ehh, did I overdo it a bit?" Jin asked while scratching his head.

The only one who wasn't shocked was Izuku even All Might was surprised, but Izuku's next words made him stunned silly. "And that was only 5%!" Izuku said in excitement.

Hearing this All Might was shocked beyond belief. 'The next inheritor will naturally be stronger than the last, but for 5% to be this strong, it's, it's beyond my expectations!' All Might thought while rooted to the ground.

After this incident, the tests continued as they were supposed to, and despite Izuku's quirklessness he scored in the top 5 in all tests. 'Quirks most of the time, are only capable of helping in specific tests while Izuku trained physically overall. In the original timeline, he wouldn't be as strong as he is now but due to my training and his Protagonist Aura (probably) he got much stronger than he should've.' Jin thought as they reached the end of the tests.

Jin had scored the highest in all tests apart from the softball throw, but that was only because Bakugo and Uraraka's quirks were too suited for it.

At the end, the scores came out and Jin ranked first, obviously, while Izuku ranked 10th. Seeing this Izuku and Jin were quite please but Minoru Mineta was currently shitting himself. 'Well not like he's gonna expel anyone.' Jin thought, but as if the world was trying to prove him wrong Aizawa shot him down.

"You can all stay, apart from Izuku Midoriya that is." Aizawa while pointing at Izuku. 'Da faq?' Jin thought as he looked at Aizawa as if he was retarded. Hearing this Izuku got tears in his eyes, while Mineta was sighing in relief.

"A quirkless boy can't be a hero, so I am gonna save you the hassle and expel you!" Aizawa said. "Rationally speaking they never should have let a quirkless boy like you enter this school." He continued.

"I-I thought this was going to happen, I guess I'll leave then." Izuku said. Hearing this the rest of the class felt bad for him apart from Bakugo. Uraraka and Tenya nearly spoke out for him but soon shut up.

"Wait a minute, what do you mean a quirkless boy cant be a hero?" Jin asked while looking Aizawa in the eye. "I said what I said you can't be a hero without a quirk." Aizawa simply responded.

"Hmph! So what? Does that mean he's worth less than the rest of the class? By that logic shouldn't those below him in ranking be expelled as well for being incapable? Not only that but shouldn't we leave all quirkless people to die then since they have no value according to you!" Jin said while looking like he was going to start a fight.

"You're clearly too immature, a hero needs a quirk. Some villains simply can't be handled without a quirk, I am saving him years of hardship. Not only that but even if he becomes a hero, he might just end up being killed! Can you live with that?" Aizawa responded.

"Every hero risks their lives with quirks or not. Besides that day after day, new quirks appear, quirks much stronger than those of the past. So what's to say that one day a quirk so strong will appear that no one will be able to combat it apart from a set few? What if All Might was a villain? What are we to do then?

Do you know what we do? We fight! Regardless if we live or die, a hero will fight to protect what he believes in, to protect the innocent and to protect those who can't protect themselves! A hero isn't a symbol of power, it's a symbol of hope and peace! That is why All Might is THE symbol of peace, because regardless of the challenge, regardless of the hardship, he will fight till his last breath if it means saving someone.

And that same resolution lives in Izuku, that's why I believe he can truly be a hero! And if you can't see that, then you have eyes but can't see Mt.Tai." Jin said before falling back and getting caught by Izuku.

'Roast effectiveness times 100.' Jin thought after finishing his speech.

After that everyone looked as if they had gained some enlightenment and even Aizawa looked like he had a change of heart and after a bit of deliberation he uttered 3 words "He can stay!"

Hearing this Izuku broke down crying. "Thank you, sir!" Jin immediately thanked Aizawa. After that, he helped Izuku calm down and they continued on with their activities.

'It seems I doubted my decision for nothing, Jin truly is worthy of my power but that Izuku boy isn't half bad either.' All Might thought before walking off.
