End of the hunter exam

Several strikes were being exchanged the man was clearly an experienced person most likely a mercenary of some sort. Money was what drove those men so Jiyu decided to ask a question.

"How much did they pay you? If you want I can pay you more if you tell me what you know." He said calmly yet it seemed that the man had some self-respect.

He answered with a "no once I take a job i finish it. That's something i pride myself in."

"Well I'm sorry but i guess you cant finish your job this time." As soon as those words left Jiyu's mouth he started to become more aggressive in his strikes. He seemed to care less about being injured himself. It was as if he was putting his life on the line here. And in fact, he was indeed doing that the man had experience above himself he needed to be aggressive in his strikes.

Sometimes he would leave openings that the man could use to counter. But most of the times those aggressive strikes worked out well. The man was clearly losing while Gon was watching from a seat, 'my dear friend it seems your family still has its enemy's.'

The fight continued the dagger hit the stomach of Jiyu and left a slight wound. Alas, the man's fate was sealed the moment he didn't takes the offer. As soon as the dagger hit his stomach Jiyu stroke down. The man who was in a position of his right hand stretched out to stab the boy screamed in pain just an instant later.

His right arm was laying on the ground while the leftover of his arm was bleeding profusely. "Will you tell me who has hired you" Jiyu calmly asked.

He could have killed the man but he didn't want to and if he was honest he needed information. What he didn't expect however was what happened next. The man picked something out of his pocket with his left hand. A small pill fully black and threw it in his mouth. Just an instant later he started trembling and foom was coming out of his mouth.

Until he suddenly stopped breathing. He had inserted poison that would kill him instantly. Whoever wanted to kill Jiyu definitely went through a lot of trouble finding someone so loyal to his mission. Without gaining any information about who it was Jiyu needed to continue this exam.

Several more people tried to attack Jiyu but they picked the wrong opponent. Time after time they were sent flying from the stage to the ground. Only 3 people were remaining on the stage Zack, Jiyu and a woman.

Zack was currently battling the woman who was pretty strong. But Zack eventually defeated her without much trouble. Two friends smiled at each other while the bell rang. 10 minutes were over and the two who passed were Zack and Jiyu.

Both were happy about this fact and fist-bumped each other. While they waited on the chairmaster to say something. Just an instant later the dining hall was filled with impressed claps from the hunters who were watching. Some even took notice of the two boys and wished to teach them personally.

A hunter was someone who would work alone most of the time. But having strong allies was something everyone would benefit from. "Congratulations on becoming a hunter." Gon calmly spoke through the microphone. He was happy that the two became hunters but was also wondering what the intentions of the both were.

After all, what would they choose to become? Would they become a gourmet hunter? No one knew.

"I expect both of you to be at this area in 2 hours rest for now. Thinking about what type of hunter you wish to be and let me know in two hours."

Is all that Gon said before the two went to their rooms to rest.

On the bed, Jiyu was seen thinking what would be the best occupation for him? After thinking for a long while on the benefits and negatives from each he came to a conclusion. Like that he was walking towards the dining hall 2 hours had passed and it was time to let Gon know.

On the way there Jiyu was thinking about what had happened in the final phase. Deep down he knew that his family had enemies but he was never part of it.

So he expected to be left out of it but it seems that he was involved in it. Even if he never took part in any assassination he was still a Zoldyck by blood.

This would prove to be useful in some situations while other situations may not be so useful. With enemies out for his life, Jiyu finally arrived at the dining hall were Gon and Zack were already seated.
