Friday Fraud!

It's finally the next day, I have until midnight to prepare for the break-in. I'm a little scared because I might get caught. I ask Lilith if she can help me, and she agrees. Did I mention that she is a computer genius? She can hack into the school cameras to be the lookout. The plan is to first break into the principal's office. Lilith told me about some of the curfew rules, which made my plan much easier. Everyone must be back in their rooms by midnight, not only that but an administrator will check all the rooms to make sure everyone is present. I decided to wait until 12:30 to make sure everyone was asleep and in their rooms. When 12:30 comes, I will sneak out, and take the stairs to prevent noise from the elevator, then Lilith will lock any other access points to the school cameras to prevent anyone from seeing me in the camera footage. She will also talk to me through an earpiece to let me know if anyone is coming my way. I will hurry and pick the lock to the principal's office and search the office for any evidence of him not being who he says he is. Then, I will take pictures of all the documents, place them back, then hurry back to the dorm. It was a good plan, but anything could happen. I was afraid, but desperate because I knew what I was bargaining for. As of right now, it is 10:30, almost everyone has left and gone to a party or outing. I decided to start packing materials. I got a lock-picking kit, a pocket knife, a small crowbar, and some clothes. As for the clothes to wear, I got an all-black stretch suit. It felt like swimwear but full-body swimwear. I also got a black hat, and a black mask to cover my mouth. I wore black socks and shoes to match everything and made sure to keep my phone on silent to make sure no one could hear me if it suddenly went off. I wore black gloves as well to prevent leaving fingerprints. For the rest of the time, I practiced picking locks and tested the earpiece connection with Lilith. It's been over an hour, now 12:00 and almost show time. We heard a sudden knock on our door.

"Girls, it's time for check-in! Open up so I can make sure you're here!" says the administrator at the door.

"Girl, put something to cover up with, she'll get suspicious."

"Oh shoot!"

I run to the bathroom and grab my robe to cover my clothes, then I remove the mask. That was close, I could have gotten caught. We open the door and check-in, signing our names on the clipboard she passes to us. Then we shut the door and wait until we no longer hear her footsteps.

"Thanks, we could have got caught," I say with relief.

"No problem, we're in this together! You're the only friend I have, plus, this is kind of fun," says Lilith with a happy smile.

I take off the robe, and make sure my phone is fully charged, and that everything is connected and ready to go. Now we just wait. Its finally time to go. I look through the peephole to check before opening the door, then I slowly pull open the door. The coast is clear, I sprint down the corridor and down the stairs. When I get to the bottom floor, I hear a noise. When I peek around the corner to the left, I see nothing, but when I turn to the right, I am frozen in place, not knowing what to do or say when I see a familiar face looking down at me.

"Wesley...what are you doing here?" I ask cautiously.

"I should be asking the same question. I was taking a walk." He said, looking at the ceiling while scratching his fluffy hair.

"Same." I said, not knowing what else to say.

"Why are you wearing all black, and a mask?"

"I just wanted to try a new look."

"You're lying, aren't you?"

"Who am I kidding, I can't lie. The truth is that I am looking for evidence, to save us."

"Save us?"

"Yes. I got in an argument with Sharon, and accidently told her about us, and now she threatened to get us expelled, and we both know that the principal will do whatever she wants. Not only that, but there have been rumors about the principal being a fraud, and I had this weird dream about it and I saw these papers that could be evidence, and there was a code and a secret trapdoor. So I want to find the evidence to get the principal, before we get expelled. I should have told you sooner, but I was stressed about it."

"Wow, that's a lot to take in. Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay, I'll help you."

"Thank you!" I give him a peck on the cheek.

He scratches his fluffy curls while blushing with a side smile on his face.

We continue down the hallway and make it to the door of the principal's office without any other interruptions. I take out my lock picking kit, and begin wiggling at the door with the tools, trying to quickly unlock the door. Finally, the door opens, but an alarm is set off. I jump into panic mode, quickly entering the office. I remember the secret trapdoor from my dream and head straight toward the trashcan to get to it. I move the trash can, and enter the code from my dream. To my surprise, it actually opened, how did my dream know, I was confused, but I hurried, snapping a picture of every file, back and front, page by page. Wesley finds a way to shut off the alarm, I hope it wasn't too loud. After finishing the job, we rush to our dorms. I give him another kiss, thanking him for his help, and head back to Lilith. That was a crazy night. I save all the pictures in a folder labeled "Principal's Fraud Case Evidence", and I plug up my phone. Me and Lilith stayed up for the rest of the night, watching movies and talking. The break in mission was a success!
