Malachi took in a slow breath and opened his eyes wiping a hand down his face. What time was it? He could see light streaming in slightly through the curtains. He blinked a bit as he looked out into the room and was a bit confused at first. He heard the sigh and felt her move against him slightly before settling back again and not waking.
He turned his head and looked at Ariel who was sleeping against him. Her left leg was over his as he was on his back. Her hand low on his stomach and her head near the center of his chest he just kind of laid there for a minute thinking.
He didn't have a shirt, and her dress was bunched high and twisted around her. Had they… no they hadn't. He felt a flood of relief and disappointment at the same time. Actually his relief was only because he figured Ariel's reaction once she woke was going to be bad enough without them actually having had sex. Pretty damn close, what did happen he really fucking enjoyed.
