Chapter Ten

[ Love conquers all]

Two days later still no trace of my Aunt, Amber and I had become so close and inseperatable, We had both resumed working, I had a lot to catch up on so I made Anna my personal assistant.

She delightely helped me and in no time, I was done with everything, Amber told me about her pregnancy and I made sure to leave no stones unturned in taking care of her and her needs.

The police were still in search of my Aunt and My wedding with Amber was fast approaching.

Two weeks later, still no sign of my Aunt and when it seemed like everything was getting better, the devil strikes again two days to our wedding.

Tiffany had returned from the US, happily married, She was to plan our wedding also she was our event planner, Our wedding was to be grand and the whole city was invited to come join in the merry.

Amber's stomach was protruding each day and she was gaining weight, I made sure to shower her with all the love I had but then the catastrophe that was to take place had changed a lot.

The wedding was only two days away when all this happened, Stanley was let out on patrol based on good behavior and from the little story I was told, he had told some of his prison colleagues that he was coming for his wife and by wife that psycho meant my AMBER!

I was alarmed on seeing the threatening messages I was receiving but then after reporting the police had told me with proof that he couldn't have being the one sending it but then who was it?.

Who is this new enemy that doesn't want me to find peace of love Amber in place, who was after US?.

Tiffany had made sure to put everything in order for the grand wedding, the police had provided tight security for our wedding but still two days to the wedding Amber got kidnapped.

"Sir where's my wife?".I requested and he again came with the same excuse.

" We're trying the best we can to find out who did this, trust us and have a little patience".The police started again infuriating me.

" What patience?, You have been coming up with such irritating excuse for the past two days now, tommorow is supposed to be my wedding and my wife is no where to be found, she is currently carrying my baby and so in no way should you try and fill me with this nonsense story if yours".I yelled out and I got chased out of the station with words that I was disturbing the rest of the prisoners.

While leaving, I noticed something, I saw a prisoner paying this police man off and sneaking back into the prison cell, what kind of corrupt system is this country working on.

I had almost lost hope but then I was in no way ready to give up, Amber was my life and responsibility too so if the police wouldn't help, I have got to this on my own but then how?.

The kidnappers hadn't called in days now and it worries me a lot, my phone rang immediately and it was Tiffany.

"Hello Tiffany".I said trying hard to hide how I was.

I was almost losing hope, my tears getting the best of me, I was scared of the worse, my mind played the worse showing me and displaying all kinds of evil things I wasn't ready to see.

"Kip, have got a way out of this".She said and I screamed out " Hallelujah".

"Yes, my husband has a close friend who's currently helping out but then he needs to be here to help out, his friend is really skilled but stays in Nigeria, An African country, by noon he would be here".She said and my joy knew no bounds.

" Thank you so much Tiffany".I said still smiling.

"Thank God not me, he provided a way, My husband friend name is Nnaemeka".She said and I tried pronouncing.

" Nna.. nna.. Nnaemeka, from where?".I asked having difficulty pronouncing it.

" He is an igbo boy and don't worry you will understand how to pronounce it sooner than you know, our main priority is getting Amber back".She told me.

I responded " Yes, where would he be staying when he comes over?".I asked her and she replied " He would stay with my husband and I".

"Okay, I will be in charge of all his expenses just make sure he does his work properly".I told her abd her response was

" I assure you that he knows his work, he promises to inform you about the whole detail.

I was glad to finally hear this good news after repeated bad news.

I got dressed and drove off to Tiffany's house, she welcomed me in, offered me tea while we wait for the Nigerian guy to come downstairs.

He walked downstairs with his laptop, he was fair in complexion and his dressing somehow proved he knows his work.

"Hi".He said exchanging his hands.

"Hi, I'm..".He interrupted me.

"You're Kip, Kip forlad".He said with smiles on his face.

" How did you know? ".I asked then state at Tiffany.

" That how well I Know my Job and she didn't inform me, you see this glasses".He said adjusting them.

" It an HDR specialized glasses made to read and tell who a person is, it said a lot about you".He said and I was stunned at how well the glasses works.

"Have the kidnappers called?".He asked curious to know.

" No, they haven't".I told him.

" Okay, let wait, they will call eventually".He told me and I heard my phone ring.

"Hold on, pick the call now".He instructed and I did as I was told.

" Hello".I said hoping to hear the person from the other line.

"Hello Kip".I heard and I was sure I could guess the voice.

" My dear, please send your Aunt money".I heard and wondered if she was the kidnapper.

" What do you want Aunt?".I fired upset.

"I'm sorry".She said in tears.

" What wrong? ".I asked her and she started coughing.

" I'm in a nearby clinic, kip, I'm dying".She said crying.

"Dying?, How?".I asked.

" I got.. into an accident the day I stole your house papers, I have really wronged you my son but then please I beg you, save me".She begged and I wondered if she was telling the truth.

"Tell me where you kept Amber?".I questioned her really upset.

"Amber.. I'm not with her".She said and coughed more.

"Kip please at least give me a befiting burial, I tried saving myself but then I got treated by a quack doctor and now I'm in so much pains, the doctor says I wouldn't survive if in two days I don't undergo Operation, I don't want to die Kip, Save me".She begged.

" Stop lying to me, you witch, I Know fully well what you're capable of doing".I told her and then I heard someone say.

" Madam you need to rest, you're still in a critical condition".

" Aunt.. Aunt.. are you there? "I asked and all I heard was

"I'm sorry Kip, I believe this is my punishment for trying to kill your parents, I had made their car brakes malfunction and there they died along with your little sis, my plan was to kill you too but then you survived, I'm so sorry, I want to make amends again that why I'm begging you to save me". She said and I got really upset.

" You're a witch, it would be best for you if you don't call me back again, I hope you rot in hell because that where you belong, to think I was ready to save you, you ungrateful witch, my mum gave you everything, everything and the only way you thought of repaying her was death".I yelled upset.

" Please Kip, Forgive me, please".She begged.

" It would be better for you if you die silently".I told her and ended the call.

" I really don't want to mendle in your affairs Kip but then two wrongs never make a right". Tiffany said and I frowned at her.

" Two wrongs you say, that woman killed my parents and I could have died today if you had succeeded".Was my response and She kept mute.

" Still, forgiveness is the key".She told me and I kept mute.

" Key to what?, Besides for all we know she might be pretending so I could send her a couple of millions.

"Hmmm I don't think she's".She told me and I got upset.

"It best if you forget her, she means nothing to me so why should we care plus if she doesn't die now, I will make sure to kill her with my bare hands". I said upset.

" Stay calm, she needs you now so I will suggest you help her out". Tiffany said and I frowned after much persuasion I agreed by then my phone had rang.

"Answer it, she needs you". Tiffany said and I nodded and answered the call.

"Hello".I said and what I heard was

"You must be a relative of the deceased, she lost her life two minutes ago and there was nothing we could do to save her, we would ask of you to come claim her body".A woman said and I guessed she was her nurse.

"Okay, I will send my driver, send me the address".Was the only I could say and I ended the call.

"What did she say?". Tiffany questioned.

"My Aunt is dead and I should come claim her body".I told her and informed my driver to go to the place she had sent to me.

My phone rang again. "It must be the kidnapper calling, make sure to answer the call".I heard and I nodded.

" Hello".I said and all I could hear was Amber crying and screaming"Let me go please".

"Missed me brother".I heard and knew immediately that was Stanley.

" Stanley, you bastard let Amber go!".I yelled out.

"Calm down, I'm enjoying my beauty company, hope you weren't waiting for me to call because I was just to busy caressing my Amber all night".He said and I wished I could just punch him right now.

" Stay off my woman".I screamed out.

" You mean mine, anyways that not why I called, I'm really in need of money to leave this goddamn country so be a good boy and send me 5million dollars and I will return Amber back to you in safe hand".He said and I heard Amber yell out

" Kip save me from this monster".

"Shut up!, We only united after a long while and yet all what you think of is this stupid boyfriend of yours". Stanley yelled back at Amber.

" Look, Lover boy send that money to me and I don't want any funny business, infact don't send it, give it to me in cash and I will return your woman back but then no funny business, no police, no nothing! ".He said and before I could say anything he ended the call.

"Have got all I need".Nnaemeka said smiling.

"All, that good". Tiffany said smiling.

"I have tracked his location".He said and I hugged him.

" Thank you Man, where's he?".I asked.

"He's location is a bit far but then we could get him".He told me and I jumped for joy.

" We need back up as well, the police won't help so who then?".I asked and He smiled.

" My team would be here but then it would be tomorrow, I promise you, he would do nothing to your woman and though they would arrive late, they're really good in their job".He informed me and I tried smiling, I was still worried about Amber and our unborn child.

"My wife..".I paused recalling we aren't married yet.

" Amber is pregnant and I'm too scared he would try to hurt her".I said and he patted me slowly.

" He is only after your money, I'm so sure he wouldn't do anything to hurt her, that I promise you".He said but yet I wasn't convinced.

" Oh wait, he didn't say where I could meet him?".I told him and he nodded.

" True but by tomorrow he would he sleeping in the prison cell". Nnaemeka said and I tried smiling.

"The police wouldn't help out".I told him and he chuckled softly.

"I thought Nigerian police were worst, anyways I'm a trained detective also given the right to arrest criminals".He told me and I nodded.

" Thank you".I said and my phone beeped.

I checked it and I saw " Nice try, you wanna track my location right?,tell that detective to stay off my case or I will send Amber's head".

I got scared immediately, how was Stanley able to find out what we were doing.

"What wrong?". Nnaemeka asked me and I showed him the text message.

He was as surprised as I was, Tiffany had excused herself a long time ago and was coming back with orange juices.

"You both look tired, have this and rest up".She said and we both nodded.

" Okay but then I'm not ready to have anything, I'm to worried about Amber to want to anything".I told her and she came close.

" The juice would only calm your nerves down and nothing more, I trust Nnaemeka and he would do his best to help you find Amber".She assured me and i nodded.

" Man I trust you so much".I told him and he smiled.

"Thank you for that".He said and I nodded.

Tiffany gave me the drink and Nnaemeka took his, I tried sipping it, I drank it all and so did Nnaemeka.

We both started feeling dizzy, I noticed he fell down on the sofa and i could swear I saw Tiffany smiling.

"What going on?".I asked and by then I could feel how soft the sofa was and my eyes closing slowly.

"Hi Stanley, they have both being drugged".I said smiling at the two unconscious men on the bed.

"Good girl, I knew you could do it". Stanley said to me through the other line.

"Thank you but then I get to keep Kip all to myself".I told him and his response.

" Don't test my patience, I will send a car and two men over, bring him over, I want my love here to have a look at him before I send him directly to hell! ".He responded and I got upset.

"That not what we agreed on". I reminded him.

" Yeah I Know, You only have the right to spend a night with him".He said and I frowned.

" A night?, Just that, I didn't kill my husband just for a night, I want more".I informed him.

" Did I ask you to kill him?".He fired at me.

"I had to, that bastard made me go through hell all in the name of marriage, his beatings and constant sex destroyed my life, Meanwhile Amber was having a blast with this Handsome man".I said and I could tell he was fed up of my story.

" Ever thought you friend also went through hell as well".He fired at me and I laughed at it.

"I doubt it, a good man like this could make any woman happy, I want him for more than a night, please do something".I begged.

"I can only you out with just a night and that's it". Stanley said and I got upset.

" You can't do this to me Stanley, you can't".I yelled angrily.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Tiffany, my friend wife talking to who knows, I turned to see that man I was helping to look for his wife, he was lying unconscious and from what I remember, we had drank the orange juice she gave us and started feeling dizzy, she must have done something to us or she might be working for that man.

"I have to do something" I told myself and immediately I alerted my colleagues of my destination and two I made sure to take my device, it tracks a person's location.

I held it and i held her say "I will bring them to you".

I quickly closed my eyes, and pretended to be asleep, I felt myself being lifted up and when I took a peak and saw two hefty men carrying both I and the man.

They made sure to tie our hands and legs and threw us at the back of the car, the car's.

I waited for the car to start moving before I tried waking the man up, I did my best but still he was unconscious.

"What do I do?".I asked myself and when I tried untying myself with my teeth, the boot was open and i pretended again to be asleep.

"Bring them in". I heard a man say, by then the other man was awake.

" Where are we?".He asked me staring at me in confusion.

"We have being kidnapped".I whispered softly to him.

"What"!He almost screamed out but controlled himself.

"Well, well, well, look at who we have here".I heard that man say.

" Stanley, how dare you? ".The man next to me yelled.

"Shut the crap up!, Dear brother I missed you, didn't you miss me? ".He said and I stared at him and knew immediately that he was the man who kidnapped this man wife.

"Untie me and fight like a man".He yelled out.

"Untie you?, Oh really, I can't do that now and if it fighting you want, you have got to wait till I fulfil my love wish".He said and I knew immediately that he looked more like a lunatic.

" Stanley, where's Amber?".He asked rather calm than before.

The lunatic response was "Kip just remain calm".

Oh so this man here name is Kip.

" You will get to see her but then it wouldn't be now, you need to suffer first or don't think you should?". Stanley asked Kip.

" Okay, let this man and Amber go, face me".Kip said and Stanley laughed while I just watched the drama unfold.

"Hell no brother, this fool here tracked my location and so well too, beside I didn't ask Tiffany to bring him all the way from Nigeria for nothing". Stanley said and I knew I was in trouble, this was a set up.

"Tiffany?" .Kip asked confused.

"Oh yes, Tiffy baby come out, someone wants to see you". Stanley called out and that green snake walked in.

" Who wants to see a beauty goddess like me?" She said with so much pride.

"Your kip!". Stanley said and ran to him immediately like an hungry lion.

"My love, I can't believe you wanted to see me".She said with smiles on her face.

" Who is your love?, Get your filthy hands off me, you disgust me so much, you're supposed to be Amber's friend".Kip called out.

" Friend?, She wasn't one, she had you all to herself without sharing, I mean I had to suffer with that wicked husband of mine, I mean you are this cute yet she wants you all to herself, I thank God so much that I killed him".She said and laughed hard.

I knew immediately that these two were lunatics.

"Baby, everything would be fine, I won't let Stanley hurt you". Tiffany said caressing Kip while he tried resisting her.

This woman here killed my best friend, she is a witch and deserves to be locked up in prison.

"I'm sorry you got involved in all this". Tiffany said facing me.

" You killed my best friend you lunatic!".I screamed out.

"Lunatic?, Common your friend also had a fair share in hurting me, he has hurt me so bad, so I had to kill him".She defended and I just stared away.

"Like I said before, I need him to help me hack Kip's bank account and send all his money directly to Tiffany's account, I take it and leave with my Amber and I can't let you live, you will try to do something and Amber and I don't want that to happen, especially our unborn child? ".He said and Kip screamed out saying

" You bastard, don't you dare touch my child and Amber, stay off them".

"Oh I wouldn't, I'm a gentleman, I'm not like you, I will only get intimate with her when we are married, of course it happening soon, in a few days".He said and laughed.

" Let us go please".I tried begging trying hard to reach the pocket knife I had.

I had made sure to cut the ropes then I passed the knife to Kip who stared at me and looked away.

"Why are you both staring at each other?". Tiffany asked.

" Let him go at least".Kip tried changing the topic.

"My answer is clearly No, Pascal take that man and make him hack Kip's bank account".I heard and I knew I would be caught for cutting the ropes.

Tiffany and Stanley walked away and I pushed the Thug down bringing out my pistol, Kip had untied himself and we both tied up the thug and closed his mouth.

We tiptoed out each giving signs, I told kip to go look for his wife while I tried informing the police.

My team had beeped me a message saying they were on their way and had decided to come today.

I was really happy, I tried looking for Kip to inform him when I felt a gun pointed on my head.

"Smart boy, you can't escape from me, give me that gun".I heard Stanley say and I had no choice.

I gave it to him and he pushed me inside and tied me up again.

"Never try to escape from me again or this time I would break your head off".He said and walked away and I was sure is to look for Kip.

I searched round for Amber and I saw her scarf in a room, I walked inside the room wasn't locked.

"Amber".I called seeing her in that state made me cry, she was tied up and was on the floor, crumbs of food was on the floor and bruises was on her face and body.

"Kip!".She called smiling as tears rolled down her cheeks.

I hugged her tight and helped her wipe her tears "What did they scoundrel do to you?".I asked her staring at her wounds.

" He always try to rape me and each time I put up a fight, he leaves me with injuries, he has tried having his way on me twice now and I have always made sure to refuse him".She cried out.

" I'm sorry you had to go through this".I told her with anger in my heart.

I was going to kill Stanley today with my own two hands but first Amber needs to leave here safely.

I hope Nnaemeka has called out people to help.

"Kip am so glad you're alright,he says he would kill you".She said happily.

" He can't do anything to me, hold on let me untie you".I told her and untied her, we were about leaving when Tiffany walked in.

" Tiffany I'm glad you're here, help us get out of here".Amber said and before I could tell her anything, Tiffany brought out a pistol.

" Help?, Common I can't do that, you both should move now".She said and Amber who was confused stared at her.

" What are you saying Tiffany?".She asked confused.

" I work for Stanley dear and if you don't want to lose your life, you move".She said and I held Amber's hand walking.

"Oh come?".Amber asked surprised.

"I don't like wasting my breath talking, just keep it in mind that I want your Man and I'm working for Stanley".She said and Amber stopped walking and faced her.

" Why?".She asked.

"Why?, I suffered all through in abroad and when we moved to back you couldn't help out, you were just to busy making out with him, I don't blame you, he is really a good catch, I liked him the first day I saw him and so I killed my husband and helped Stanley escape and he promised him and have got him, does that answer your question? ".She fired at Amber.

" For your own good, I suggest you move before I do something to you, you would regret". Tiffany shouted angrily.

" Amber please let go".I told Amber but then she refused.

" No Kip, she can't do anything, I can't believe you're this rotten".Amber came at her.

" Rotten?, Don't try me Amber or you would regret it".She yelled.

" Amber please let go".I said but she refused again.

" I won't go anywhere until she surrenders".Amber said and Tiffany corked the gun and stared at her.

"You forced me to do this".She said and we heard a gun shot.

" No!"I screamed out and saw Tiffany's body lying lifelessly on the floor

"She tried touching my love, I had to do it, how dare she try to kill you baby?, I couldn't let her do that, I couldn't". Stanley said scratching his head.

" Don't look at me like that my love?, I'm doing all this for us, our future together". Stanley said smirking.

" Hey, don't look at me like that lover boy move".He said pointing the gun at us, Amber held my hands crying and we both walked into the room where we found Nnaemeka tied up.

"You will never go away with this!".Amber said and Stanley laughed.

" Already did baby".He said and called one of his thug.

" Take this boy into the room where my laptop is and tell him to get hacking, I need to leave here before anything happens". Stanley instructed and the thug did as he instructed.

" Now, baby it time to say goodbye to your lover, I will let you both see each other one last time before i.. you know...".He used his hand to demonstrate " Kill him".

" Let Amber go please Stanley, She is carrying my child".I cried out.

" And what do I care? ". Stanley said smiling.

" Please don't hurt Kip please".Amber begged.

"Oh my, you two love birds won't let me kill you two, that sweet, I remember when you meant nothing to him and how he use to get you in his bed, how sudden did you forget?". Stanley said frowning at Amber.

" You're just cheap, imagine to sell your virginity for money, so foolish, women like are a disgrace, Anyways I wouldn't blame you, Money solves all problem, I mean it got me to want to kill my own step brother".He said laughing.

There was silence for a while, " Anyways enough talking, let start killing, my flight time is close". Stanley said checking his wristwatch.

I touched my pocket and recalled Nnaemeka had handed me a pocket knife by then I heard a siren.

"What that?, Which of you rat me out?".Stanley asked by then we heard a gunshot.

"Stanley I would suggest you raise your hands up and Surrender". Nnaemeka said while I and Amber disengaged from the embrace.

"I will never Surrender". Stanley yelled out.

"We are the police and we have surrounded this building so come out and surrender". We heard.

" Nnaemeka, Are you there? ".We heard a woman say.

" Chioma I'm fine".He yelled back.

"You're surrended by the police now Stanley so I suggest you surrender, it will help reduce your sentence". I told him and he stared at me.

" I will never".He said and dragged Amber.

"Now drop your gun or I kill her". He said and I got upset.

"Let her go Kip, it over now". I told him but he refused.

"I will suggest you tell your friend over there to drop the gun or I kill her".He screamed out and I frowned.

" Nnaemeka please, my wife life is at stake here".I begged and he did just that.

" Don't follow me" .He warned me and I couldn't do that, he can't just go with my Amber, I can't let that happen.

"Let Amber go you scoundrel".I screamed and I felt a bullet penetrating in my skin.

It hurt really bad and I heard Amber screaming "Noooo"

What going on?, I felt my body fall slowly to the ground and my eyes closed slowly, I was gone.

Stanley pushed Amber and ran away while I chased after him after seeing Amber run to Kip.

"He is out, try to catch him".I instructed the police.

"Nnaemeka you're fine". Chioma my wife said hugging me tight.

She was one of my colleagues and we both fell in love and got married.

"Try calling the Ambulance, someone needs help".He instructed.

" Yes sir".My wife said and told my remaining colleagues who did as I said.

"Be alert, he is holding a gun".I told the police who had successfully captured all of Stanley's thugs.

We waited patiently for Stanley we caught trying to jump the fence out, he jumped into a neighborhood house and we followed put trying to catch up with him.

He was a fast runner but then destiny had planned a different story for him, he was to escape but he foolishly ran to the streets where he got ran over by a Car.

He didn't survive. Sadly.

I was given an award in UK for helping them out and a permanent visa to be a citizen but then my country needs people like me and my colleagues to establish our country.

Today is my wedding, I can't believe it, After numerous months in the hospital with Kip, the doctor had thought he was going to die but I kept my faith on, yes I'm a full-time Christian, All thanks to Chioma I gave my life fully to God Almighty, He brought my Kip back to life and After the birth of Nathaniel And Nathan, my twins, we planned to get married.

Kip doesn't want an elaborate wedding, he wants something simple, we both agreed to have our wedding in his garden with few guests.

Oh yes Nnaemeka and Chioma were of course invited to our wedding. I smiled at Kip who has become an evangelist in the RCCG church close by, we had informed the pastor who agreed to wed us.

"I bless your marriage".The pastor said and we both smiled.

Gospel music was played in the background and a few members who had attended the wedding congratulated us and went ahead to merry on the food presented to them by the catering team.

"Congratulations, I pray God bless your home". Chioma said and I smiled.

" Thank you so much, Hope Nathan wasn't much of a trouble?".I asked her and she smiled.

" He wasn't".She said smiling.

"Neither was Nathaniel". Nnaemeka said smiling.

"We will be leaving for Nigeria tomorrow". Chioma said breaking the silence.

" You can't go".Kip said and he smiled.

"I haven't been at work for the past 10 months now, we have to resume our work, my boss is complaining". Nnaemeka said and Kip suggested he work for him.

"I can't, My country matters".He said and Kip smiled.

" I love your patriotic way of reasoning, if everyone had your thinking, the world would he better".Kip said and we nodded.

" Maybe we will come see you".I told Chioma and she smiled.

" Sure,we can't wait". Chioma said smiling.

" So tell me how you got to live with Kip?". Curious Chioma asked.

"You won't let me rest, you have being disturbing me about this story all week".I told her and she smiled.

" I told you my story, And it improper not to tell yours".She said and I said.

"Okay, okay, listen".I told her and she nodded.

" It All started when I was in need of money, I got a job and later on I was offered to be a sex slave to Kip who was my Master and on Valentine's day, I entered The MASTER'S BEDROOM".... I continued like that explaining everything to her then it occurred to me.

How will I be able to tell my children the story?, How it all begin with I and Kip, of course they both have to know how it all started in "THE MASTER'S BEDROOM".
