Carigan walked up to the field majestically, like the prince he was, with a devilish smirk dancing on his lips.

His gaze was directed at Xavier, just as Emily's was. He slowly raised his hands, pointing at Xavier, but then his hand moved and fell on Zeke again.

"What the fuck? Oh hell no!" Zeke said, shaking his head, he just lost to Emily, why should he get beaten again?

Besides Xavier was his arch-enemy, not him.

What does it have to be him again? They should develop rules in this damn competition.

Something like a loser who had been beaten before is not allowed to be picked again, that'll be a whole lot better.

Zeke reluctantly stood up, grieving in his heart, he knew for sure Carigan was going to choose death and that would be the end of him. Why the hell did he come to this school, he never wanted to be a swordsman, and now he'll die as a trainee and not even an honored swordsman.

The crowd was silent as if they were also sympathizing with him. He dragged his feet and just as he was about to take a step, he felt a cold hand on his shoulder, stopping him from going further.

He looked behind and saw Xavier, he pushed Zeke's shoulders down, making him fall back to his seat. He walked to the middle of the field in Zeke's place and stopped when he was face to face with Carigan.

"I will fight you," Xavier said gazing into his eyes. His smirk turned into a wicked smile as if he expected this to happen.

"Let's welcome, Prince Xavier of Cranes kingdom, all the way from Alfie land." Teacher Solomon said and the crowd applauded.

"Okay foreigner...why don't we make this a bit more interesting," Carigan said and threw his sword away, leaving himself without a weapon.

Seeing this, Xavier knew what Carigan wanted to do, he wanted a fist-fight, Xavier's heart raced in it's ribcage, but he would show no weakness, with a stoic face, Xavier also threw his sword on the ground. The intense stare between the two will immediately alert you to how much they hate each other.

"Death or blood?" Teacher Solomon asked, he knew he shouldn't have asked since he already knew the answer, Carigan was someone who enjoyed killing.

"Death," Carigan answered without batting an eyelid, he took off his shirt and clenched his fist while it made a cracking sound. Causing Xavier to gulp, but he nodded, accepting the challenge.

"Don't you dare make me feel pain," Zavian said in Xavier's head.

'Shut it, now is not the time for a f*cking conversation!' Xavier fired back inwardly, cursing at Zeke who wouldn't stop ranting in his head.

Due to Zavian's distraction, Xavier was lost when Carigan suddenly leaped and kicked him in the chest, causing him to stumble and fall backward. As soon as he opened his eyes to process what just happened, the first thing he saw was Carigan's feet, about to step on his head. He rolled away quickly using his leg to sweep Carigan off his feet, causing Carigan to lose balance and fall into a thigh-tearing split, causing the crowd to gasp in awe.

Xavier quickly got up on his feet, he swung his foot to kick Carigan in the face but Carigan was fast enough to grab his foot in mid-air when it was just an inch away from his face. Xavier's eyes widened, knowing what was coming, he was thrown like a rag doll causing him to land on the sandy ground with a loud thud, the audience gasped as if they also felt his pain.

Carigan grabbed Xavier's neck and threw punches at his face, Xavier's nose broke, causing blood to flow out of his nose and busted lips. Xavier managed to knee Carigan's back also grabbing him by the neck and throwing punches, but before his punches could bruise or have an effect on Carigan, Carigan grabbed Xavier and overpowered him, tackling Xavier on the ground with him on top and his knee on Xavier's back, causing Xavier to groan in pain.

After wriggling to no avail, Xavier threw his head back, hitting Carigan on the mouth, causing him to stumble and blood to flow out of his busted lips. The crowd gasped again. So far, this fight was the most entertaining. No one has been able to go hand in hand with Carigan and last a minute, but this foreign prince was standing his ground against Prince Carigan.

Cardigan stumbled back, covering his lips with his hand and taking a glance at his father, who shook his head in disappointment.

"Enough fooling around, foreigner." Carigan roared. He looked on the ground and took the sword which was right at his foot. He unsheathed the sword and walked to Xavier angrily, Xavier could hear the danger bells ringing in his ear so he hastily crawled to the shelf, also trying to grab a sword.

Carigan lunged forward, his blade slashing through the air with blinding speed. Xavier, however, anticipated the attack and swiftly parried the blow. He had grabbed a sword and his sword, dancing in a graceful arc. The clash of metal reverberated once again, shaking the ground beneath their feet.

Their movements were fluid and precise, each step calculated and deliberate. Carigan attempted a series of rapid strikes, aiming to overwhelm Xavier with his speed. But Xavier's defense was impenetrable, his sword deflecting every blow with ease. With each parry, Xavier saw an opening, a weakness in Carigan's technique.

Sensing an opportunity, Xavier executed a swift counterattack, his blade slashing across Carigan's arm. A sharp pain shot through Carigan's body, but he refused to falter. He gritted his teeth and retaliated with a powerful strike, aiming for Xavier's chest. However, Xavier sidestepped the attack with impeccable footwork, leaving Carigan off balance.

The crowd was in awe at how Xavier was handling Carigan, it was something they never expected to happen. However, they spoke too soon, because Carigan began attacking fiercely, He turned around as if he was dancing and used his elbows to hit Xavier's stomach. He again punched Xavier, giving him an uppercut, and hit his head on Xavier's head, causing Xavier to stumble backward. He hit Xavier's head on the ground, kicking his spine.

Xavier lay there helplessly and unmoving, covered in bruises, his clothes were dirty and had holes in them and he was covered in dust, laying there like someone who was dead and gone.
