Escape.

Now that Rem and I are ready, we prepare to free all the slaves that didn't decide they were going to try to harm Rem, and kill the scum who thought they could.

But of course we notice that the slaves have already escaped, causing the alarms to go off.

Bells start ringing at the camp and we are quickly surrounded. Since Rem hasn't had time to cultivate the technique I gave her, and her horn was removed by the scum that sold her, She isn't strong enough to take more than 3 of them.

Before she is overwhelmed, I step in and take care of the other 12 I quick succession using [Water Stream Rock Sashing Fist]. Our teamwork is a little shoddy due to us not being used to fighting together, and secretly me having never fought at all.

But what I lack in skill-

Happily abusing the system, I allow some scratches, but only after being covered in scratches from near missed that I actually could have dodged entirely, I find that I am slowly increasing in cultivation. until-

"You won't get away with this! You'll never esc-!" were the last words of the shitty caravan leader before Rems Morningstar slammed into his face, smashing it inwards and crushing his brain.

the Guards stepped back in surprise, and taking the opportunity I break all of their necks by combining Water stream rock smashing fist, and stepping on the crescent moon.

"Slaver trash! You're lucky I didn't get to you first."

I spit on the corpse of the caravan leader and start walking towards the freed slaves, who instead of using their brains- they Run away.

I shrug, and look at Rem, who waves me over. "Come over here, Zack, let's take a look inside the space-bag of this scum."

looking confused I ask, "Space Bag?"

"A bag enchanted with Yin Magic by a Yin type magician to hold more than it seems."

She smiles. "I forgot you were from Beyond the watever."

I Smile back, and say, "Sure, let's take a look."

With that, two people who were smiling at the site of a massacre with a bunch of slaves running away from them started their adventure to utterly destroy the slave-trade in Kararagi.

I approached Rem, and smiled.

"What are you doing?" she asked, a little afraid. stepping back. I stopped. "I'm hurt rem, I was going to give you another technique but maybe I'll just have to carry you if you feel afraid of me." I pouted.

She calmed down, "Sorry, I've been through a lot, I thought you were just going to use me like the others." I frowned.

"What do you mean?" I asked, continuing to frown.

She teared up, "My first employer never even paid me, used my sister as a scapegoat to try to prolong his life for a bit longer, and then sold me to a bunch of slavers. The slavers didn't even pay him." She laughed. "They killed him and took me towards an auction where I was sold to the highest bidder. I later killed the highest bidder brutally before he could try to take my purity." She shuddered. "I escaped but was caught and sold again after they cut off my horn, the source of my power" she started crying.

"Even before that, My best friend and the person I was supposed to help and guard- died, because some stupid trinket was stolen from her." her tears broke into sobs. "Why did she have to follow that thief? She was killed and then all of a sudden half of the city was covered in ice, and a massive blue wolf covered in ice was stomping its way from the slums towards the end of the city. I ran back to the mansion but then I was sold and-" she interrupted herself realizing she already said what happened after that.

"Now I'm face to face with a man who is much stronger than me and despite him freeing me, I feel trapped and I-" I approach her, and hug her. not letting go.

"It's over, now. I will protect you now. When you're strong enough, I'll help you get revenge." She starts hitting me in the chest with her fists for a few seconds, but when she notices I'm not trying anything she calms down and just cries her eyes out. "Why are you helping me?"

"It's not wrong to help a strong, independent, beautiful woman who has had a hard time in her life."

she sobs, "But you barely know me."

"Then I'd like to get to know you better." I smile, "We can even talk about the world I came from." I then transfer her the movement technique [Stepping on the crescent moon] and step back, letting her go from my arms.

"I think I'd like that when we are away from this area. I don't think I want to be nearby when the patrols get here."

I nod, and we start moving. She quickly runs out of chi though, and we are forced to stop for the night in a cave. I pick up a nearby boulder and cover the mouth of the cave.

when I'm done closing it, I notice there's a bear inside. It growls menacingly.

"I guess I know what we're having for dinner."
