God’s Irresistible Charms

"I'm all down here." I handed the papers that I filled out to the administration officer on duty. The officer took the papers and looked at each page and nodded.

"Congratulations in returning Ms. Berkin." The officer smiled and stretched her arm for a hand shake. I politely took it and shook her hand. "I never thought you would study architecture. I always thought you would become a model or an actress with your beauty."

"Well I had an interest in architecture after seeing Paris. I just thought this was my calling." I smiled in reply.

"Haha, well many of the male students will be happy to known that our number two campus belle has returned." The officer giggled.

"You are teasing me ma'am." I giggled as well.

"Well the number one belle is out of there reach, knowing that she is chasing one of our campuses white princes." The officer said.

'So it is true.' I thought to myself. 'There is definitely a difference from my past life.'

In my past life, at this time of year Jeremy and Angelika are happily in a relationship. They were called the campus' sweet hearts.

"Well Anastasia would be unavailable in the near future as well." Shiki who was also finalizing his papers in applying as a professor said.

I see the administration officer glanced at Shiki with dreamy eyes. 'Another woman caught in Shiki's web.' I sighed and smacked my forehead in my thoughts.

"W-What do you mean professor." The officer's voice changed into a sweet alluring one compared to when she was talking to me just now.

"That's because she will be my fiancée in the future." Shiki gave the officer a smile that no woman can resist. I smacked Shiki in the back after hearing his words.

"Shhh!" I glared at him.

"What did you say? I didn't get that." Thankfully the officer was drunk in Shiki's pheromones that she wasn't able to hear.

"Oh no, nothing." I quickly said. "Are you done? I still have to see my friends after this."

"Yep, all done." Shiki said with a teasing smile towards me. He handed his papers to the administration officer. "May I get my ID pass?"

"Oh yes of course." The officer said in vibrato that she became embarrassed after. The officer left the receiving area and Shiki and I are the only ones left.

"If I have known better, I would mistake you for the god of love rather that the god of death." I said with a raised eyebrow. "How can you charm every woman you meet."

"I don't know." Shiki pressed his chin in thought. "As far as I know, all gods have irresistible charms to mortals. But Eros has a more intense effect, being he is the god of love."

"Come to think of it Eros and Nergal are both good looking." I said while in thought. "So the other gods are all good looking and irresistible as you describe. Will I be able to meet other gods?" I was looking forward to meeting other gods as well.

"That won't be advisable." Shiki said with a serious face. "Eros and Nergal are okay at least they are what we call friendly. But others have attitudes and don't like humans that much."

"Is that so?" I said. "So gods also have different kinds of moods and traits I guess."

Not long the administration officer came back with Shiki's ID pass.

"Here's your ID pass professor." The officer was all smiled while handing the ID card. "If you need anything don't hesitate to come here in the office and find me. I would gladly help you out." She was leaning towards us more than usual. Her low collared shirt made her cleavage more visible. I really want to roll my eyes.

"Thank you very much." Shiki smiled dashingly. "I will surely call you if I need anything."

Shiki and I walked towards the exit of the office. I quickly glanced back and saw the administration office still sending charming glares on Shiki's back.

"Your charm is really something." I said when we were just out of the door.

"Sometimes it comes in handy." Shiki said nonchalantly,

Come to think of it, Shiki sometimes uses that killer smile of his in special occasions such as this one.

"Don't tell me you use that at times like purchasing something?" I asked in surprise.

Like I said, I never saw Shiki with money so how can he pay for his living expense in the human world. Now I know what he was doing, he was using his killer smile to enchant women and fall under his spell.

"That's a secret." Shiki winked at me teasingly.

I was about to reprimand him when my phone rang. "Hold that thought." I said with a glare.

I looked at the phone and saw Geraldine's name in the caller ID.

"Hello, Din." I answered.

"Ana, where are you right now?" Geraldine asked.

"I just came out of the administration office." I replied. "I am done with my paper works and enrollment."

"That's good." Geraldine replied. "Krista and I are going to meet here at the mall. Let's meet here and grab some lunch."

"Oh okay." I replied with a smile. Then I saw Shiki looking at me. "Would you like to come and eat lunch with me and my friends?" I asked.

"If your friends wouldn't mind." Shiki replied.

"Whose with you?!" Geraldine asked in an excited tone. "That's a guy's voice right? Tell me, tell me, tell me…"

"Hehe, hold your horses Din." I giggled with Geraldine's reaction. "I am with my distant cousin, Shiki. Would you mind if he comes along to eat lunch?"

"Is he good looking?" Geraldine asked with excitement.

"W-Well… I will say super." I glanced at Shiki and he had a questioning look. Of course he couldn't hear what Geraldine was asking. "But he isn't available."

I know what Geraldine was after and I have to stop it before it started. My mission is to push Geraldine and Christopher closer to on another for them to start their romance.

"Ahhh… that's too bad." Geraldine said with a low voice and paused for a while.

"Din?" I called to her seeing if she was still connected.

"I guess there is more to Mr. distant cousin, huh?" Geraldine was excited once again. "I bet you and Mr. distant cousin have something going on."

Geraldine's instincts are really frightening sometimes. Unfortunately her instinct doesn't work on picking her boyfriend.

"I-I am hanging up." I quickly chose the east way out and that is to end our conversation. "See you."

"Hey, you are not running aw…" *beep beep* Geraldine's sentence was cut when I stopped the call.

"What did your friend say?" Shiki asked with a blank face.

"She said you can come along." I tried to mask my embarrassment. I don't know if I was blushing now.

'Why am I reacting like this if they ask my relationship with Shiki?' I asked myself. 'It's because of that fiancé candidate thing!' I scolded my parents for thinking such a ridiculous thing.
