Chapter 5: The Squirrel Who Fights Monsters

Boro is the name of a place most adventurers don't go near because there are more monsters than anywhere else.

The long distance from the city of Karta took three days of traveling. During that time, Risu and Flare began to get close.

"Hey, little brother. Where are you from?"

Only a few kilometers away from Boro, Flare suddenly asked Risu.

"What are you asking me that for?!"

Charu looked sharply at Flare. Charu and Flare couldn't get close at all, not because of hate. It was just that Charu couldn't trust the adventurers.

"I'm from the Enchanted Forest!"

"Risu!?"

Risu answered Flare's question making Charu surprised. Charu had warned Risu not to get close to Flare. However, Risu ignored her.

"The Enchanted Forest? Where is it?"

Flare had just heard of a place called the Enchanted Forest. Flare, who had traveled all over, had never heard of that place.

Charu and Risu were gloomy. In their minds, they expected Flare to know a little about the Enchanted Forest.

Flare then stopped walking and prepared an arrow to shoot.

Flare felt a monster stalking them. Flare's eyes sharpened towards a large tree.

"What's wrong, Sister Flare?"

Risu was curious about Flare's sudden action.

"You guys stay behind me! There are monsters around here."

Immediately Charu and Risu went behind Flare, wary of the monsters coming.

Flare drew an arrow, targeting a large tree.

Instantly the arrow was burned by fire. Flare's arrow turned into a fire arrow.

The flaming arrows raged around Flare. As if she didn't feel the heat, Flare was concentrating intently on the target on the big tree.

She was calculating the distance and wind between Flare and the target. Flare guessed that the distance between her and the target was 200 meters.

Raising the arrow slightly, Flare was ready to shoot. Taking a breath, Flare released the fire arrow.

When the sky was evident in the daytime, an arrow of fire shot out quickly in a strong wind.

A small tornado formed in the arrow, causing the flames to rage endlessly.

A tiny monster figure in the form of an eagle perched on a large tree.

It had a sharp eyesight. The monster knew that Flare's arrow had targeted it.

A flaming arrow was stuck in its body when the monster was about to run away.

The speed was like a sound until the monster could not escape.

"Kak Flare, you did it!"

Risu shouted happily that Flare managed to kill the monster.

"Eh!? How do you know Risu?"

Charu was shocked. She couldn't see the figure of the monster in the big tree. However, Risu could see.

"Good Risu. Looks like you have sharp eyesight."

Flare praised Risu. Risu's squirrel tail wagged every time she was praised.

"Eum! ... I can also see the monsters surrounding us!"

To Risu's statement, Charu and Flare were both surprised.
