Chapter 3: The Squirrel Who Met the Witch

"Damn, where should we look for her?"

Wandering around the center of Karta, Charu, and Risu searched for Shion.

Charu was sure that Shion must know about the Enchanted Forest. Therefore, Charu must find Shion.

However, Shion, who left using a flying broom, disappeared so quickly.

"Calm down, Sister Charu. We'll find her!"

Risu, the little girl with her innocent thoughts, was very optimistic. Explained by Charu that witches have extensive knowledge, Risu was full of hope that she could return home.

"You're right. We must calm down and think positively."

Later, they sat on a park bench, trying to recall where Shion had gone.

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew Charu and Risu away.

"Ah, there she is!"

Risu saw Shion passing by with her broomstick.

Charu, without saying much immediately chased after Shion. This time, she wouldn't let Shion go.

Risu followed behind her, trying not to fall behind.

Unfortunately, Shion went quite far. Charu felt exhausted. Her running started to slow down.

Risu immediately increased her running speed and caught up with Shion.

When she was close to Shion, without hesitation, Risu jumped to catch Shion who was flying using a broomstick.

"Uwahh! What the hell are you doing?! That's so dangerous! What if I get seriously injured?!"

Shion was angry. Of course, it was because she was afraid of getting hurt. Nevertheless, Risu just smiled at her.

"Y-you're great, Risu, to run that fast!"

An exhausted Charu praised Risu. Risu's squirrel tail wagged, indicating that she was happy to be praised.

"Finally, I found you witch! Now answer my question, do you know the Enchanted Forest?"

Charu unceremoniously asked, in essence making Shion feel unhappy.

"Huh! Why do I have to answer your question?!"

Shion had an arrogance in her. Forced by Charu, Shion felt humiliated.

"Big sister, please. Do you know the Enchanted Forest?"

On Shion's lap, Risu wore a sad expression while pleading. Shion was the only hope Risu had to return home.

Although Shion had arrogance. However, in her heart, she still had tenderness.

Watching Risu's cute, sad face. Shion couldn't let it go.

"Alright! Alright! The Enchanted Forest? I knew that. But before I tell you, you guys must obey my request."

Charu and Risu were instantly happy that Shion knew about the Enchanted Forest. Although they had to comply with her request, it did not worry them.

"So, what's your request?"

Shion's evil smile came out when Charu asked her request. Then, Shion stood up and dusted off her clothes elegantly.

"Bring me an heirloom weapon like a dagger. A dagger that has a distinctive asymmetrical shape. It is known that the dagger is called Keris."

Charu and Risu looked at each other. The first time they heard of heirloom weapons, they knew absolutely nothing about heirloom weapons.

When Charu asked Shion about heirloom weapons, Shion refused to tell her and told them to find out for themselves.

"If you guys have found it, meet me at the Magic Academy. Good luck!"

Shion boarded the flying broom. She continued back toward her destination, leaving Charu and Risu behind.
