The Mad Heiress' Revengeful Ghost

Brianna Cordova was thrown in jail after poisoning her half younger brother. She was stripped of all her inheritance and rights in her family’s legacies, even though she was the legitimate heiress. Instead of bathing in dollars and gold bars, she bathed in the shower area of an Isolation Cell in the country’s most infamous penitentiary. There comes Bianca Acosta – a lowlife of all lowlifes. She was serving a lifetime sentence for multiple crimes; torture, illegal drug trade, severe fraud and financial crimes, aggravated property damage, arson, burglary, theft, robbery, and falsifying national documents. Bianca was betrayed by her gang members and sold off to the police, thus, she was serving her sentence and diligently visiting the prison chapel to pray for the death of all her former comrades. It happened one fateful day when it was raining hard. After finishing her cleaning duty, she went back without an umbrella, but was mesmerized at the rare phenomena unfolding before her eyes. A solar eclipse, despite the absurdity of the situation, but what Briana found the most unbelievable was how stupid she was, staring at the solar eclipse directly. As her eyes began to blur and tear up, a horrifying scream echoed through the entire penitentiary. Once the darkness brought by the eclipse disappeared, a body nailed at the altar of the prison chapel was found. Bianca Acosta died a gruesome death, expectedly. Brianna Cordova damaged her eyes, stupidly. One lost her life, the other lost her vision. However, unbeknownst to Brianna, she received the eyes of the dead Bianca, and since then, the ghost of Bianca kept pestering her to take revenge for her death. They say to let a ghost rest in peace, one must fulfill its dying wish. But how will Brianna, a pea-brained timid, and cowardly woman exact revenge against an infamous syndicate that killed Bianca?

Amidst all that dinner turned into pandemonium; a pair of obsidian eyes leaving a sharp purple sheen at the edges of her glares, were watching the inmates while sitting leisurely in the corner. Her dark-colored eyes danced with amusement.

Bianca was extremely entertained. A satisfied grin tugged on her full lips as she scoured the surroundings with her eyes, looking for that poor girl who always shivered at the face of another inmate.

At last, she spotted the origin of her rising interest.

Bianca stood from her seat and slowly made her way to Brianna. Her eyebrows arched in wonder, 'What the hell is she doing in the middle of a fight? She's bound to be beaten if she just curled up like that.'

True to her words, the rice manager kicked Brianna, and like an unbothered pebble in the middle of the road, she rolled away silently when kicked, not even wincing or flinching at all.

"GET UP YOU, MOTH*RF*CKER! WHERE'S YOUR F*CKING COURAGE NOW, HUH?! YOU DARE SPLASH HOT SOUP ON HER FACE, BUT GOT SCARED NOW?! GET UP! AND FIGHT ME!"

Bianca crumpled her face at that speech. She did the right thing by standing away from them, or else she would have taken an unintended bath of chewed cramps and sticky saliva flying everywhere from that deadly volcano of a mouth.

In that prison, everyone had heard about the eccentricity of Bianca, so no one ever dared to even bump shoulders with her in that commotion. Like a human carrying a deadly infectious disease, people were walking out of her way in a hurry, afraid to even breathe the same air she breathed.

She always made sure to brush her teeth though, but after that, she would also polish the end of her toothbrush until it became a sharp weapon enough to kill someone with a single stab.

That's the reason why she was locked up in an isolation cell for a month. One of the inmates who dared to steal her provisions was stabbed in the guts by her. That inmate almost died, but Bianca even told her this – 'You should be grateful to me. Because of me, you get to spend a few days out of prison, don't you think? Next time you want to have a vacation in those disinfectant-smelling rooms, just tell me~. I'd gladly polish my new toothbrush again for you.'

She would perform her melodious laughter after that, which that soon named by the inmates as the 'devil's laughter'. Once they heard it echo in the hallways, they knew for sure the devil would strike again.

The infamous queen of the lowlifes – Bianca Acosta. That was her nickname. Belonging to a syndicate that raised her after getting abandoned by her parents in a dilapidated orphanage, she learned all the art of crime and committed half of it.

She was raised among demons walking the earth wearing human faces. Half of her life was chased by foxes wearing sheep hides, pretending like some goody two shoes serving the government and implementing order and peace, yet all rotten from the insides.

Her madness? There's a method for it. It was just a defense mechanism to protect herself and survive. Her eccentricity was all an act put up to scare people. As they say, there is nothing more frightening than a person whose eyes twinkle and whose lips smile while watching gore and bloody murder.

However, looking at that rolled lump of beaten meat on the floor, Bianca could tell what was acting from not.

Brianna's madness wasn't based, controlled, and conscious.

She noticed it before. The time they first met, Bianca remembered the quick change in Brianna's expression when she mentioned her crime. The fear and tremor in those gray-colored eyes disappeared, and what replaced was the complete opposite.

Hatred and determination.

Can someone even flip like that in a mere second? Even the greatest actors of all can't pull something like that. It greatly baffled Bianca, but above all, it entertained her as well.

She found an interesting toy inside that hellhole.

She didn't dwell anything deeper on that strange observation. But now, witnessing the same thing once again, Bianca couldn't help but finally dig the truth.

The shrill sound of the whistle halted everyone. The male warden walked into the dining hall with eyes ready to shoot anyone who dared move again. He clucked his tongue and shouted, "You're all acting like pigs who can't even have normal human decency and behavior over meals! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN YOU'RE HUMANS?! If you're all just going to act this way, better serve your food on the trough next time!"

Everyone became an obedient student and went back to their seats. One of the inmates bravely walked to the warden, clung her arms to his, and coquettishly spoke, "Officer Kells, we're just having a welcome party for the newbie! It's an initiation everyone receives when they enter here, right, sisters?"

"RIGHT!" All shouted simultaneously.

The warden dismissed the inmate's seduction prowess as nothing but a flea flying around him and frowning at the obvious display of her cleavage. He pushed the woman away and stepped back. Then, he strictly commanded, "Everyone should adhere to the rules inside the prison. Any worse than this and tomorrow, all of you won't be released for your regular routines."

"That's a violation of human rights, officer," Bianca chipped in and everyone went silent.

Officer Kells turned to Bianca and smirked. It was obvious who he was interested in, so the coquettish inmate grumbled as she walked away. She didn't have the guts to glare at Bianca, so she poured her irritation at another weak-looking inmate.

The warden scoffed at Bianca and answered, "Human rights, you said so. Now act like pigs and expect to be treated like humans. See if I am threatened."

He glanced at Bianca challengingly, anticipating another retort. But he was taken aback when Bianca just rolled her eyes and cocked her toward the corner. "How about that poor one? Don't generalize all inmates as nothing but pigs. That's unfair for those who played victims. Tsk, tsk."

With that, Bianca turned away. Like Moses parted the sea, the crowd parted when Briana made her exit. She walked arrogantly, with her chin held high and her arms folded on her chest. From behind her, she heard another shout.

"Officer Kells, inmate number XXXX collapsed again!"

Bianca shook her head. There was no way her toy would last longer if she kept fainting like that. In order to keep her entertainment, it seems that she needed to play a bigger role.
