Looking up at him, he looked deep in thought, and then he turned to me, "So, Faith. Did you find your mate?" Fraser asked, and I looked at my parents, who stared at both of us in a weird way.
Oh god.
The cold hand on my thigh tightened and I flinched. "Um..." I struggled to form words, "No, I haven't, I guess something bad must have happened to him as well," I looked at Fraser sternly.
"Such a pity," Fraser looked into my eyes, and I fell for it.
"Yeah," I whispered back.
A cough interrupted our stare, and I quickly grabbed Fraser's hand which rested on my thigh and tried moving it off, but it tightened further, making me flinch in pain again.
"The dinner was nice, Alpha Fraser, but I'm afraid to say that we cant stay for dessert, business calls," my father stood up and fixed his tie.
