Part: 4 ~ The Hot-Headed Prince Soft Heart

Canis tries to make himself as small as possible while looking down at the ground, backing away from Clark. Artemis instantly changes his body language and expression, from a cocky joking manner to belligerent. "What did you just say?!" Artemis shouts at Clark, grabbing him from the collar of his shirt and holding him up so Clark is at Artemis' eye level. Clark swiftly changes his expression, it mirrors that of Canis: submissive, and becoming unable to speak. All watching the spectacle step backwards removing themselves from the situation. "I asked you a question!" Artemis shouts even louder than his last howling scream. Clark remains motionless acting as limp as a caught rabbit in a wolf's jaw. "Refusing to answer for your actions! Yet demanding I answer for ones I never committed!" Artemis cries. Mary whispers in her trembling voice to the other three-Canis, Kathleenia, and Shiba-" What should we do? He is going to kill him." Canis looks at the spectacle then towards Mary, "It's Clark's own fault he is in the wolf's fury. Based on Artemis' last words this anger is greater than just some harsh words." Katheenia interjects after Canis' statements "The same words his father would have used, or do I have to remind you he killed his own father for the crown!" Canis, speaking at a normal speaking level respond, "There is no proof that he killed his father. Let alone that Artemis would have that motive for power." Shiba grabs Canis shoulders forcing him to look at Artemis still holding on to Clark by the collar and screaming at him one sided, "Does this look like an innocent man to you!" Canis starts to breathe heavily and pushes Shiba away from him, slowly he falls to his knees and starts crying.

As soon as Canis starts to cry Artemis drops Clark leaving him to fall to the ground. Artemis bolts to Canis kneeling next to him. In a contrasting change of voice from the harsh screaming, a soft and delicate voice speaks to Canis, "Hey, it's okay. No need to panic, she's not here. No one is going to hurt you." Artemis looks at Canis, the words that use to snap Canis to reality and peace have no effect, slowly Artemis' face turns painful. Artemis looks as if he wants to comfort Canis but fails to come up with a possible way to reach Canis without upsetting him further. Seconds pass as the other selected rush to Clark's side and watch as Artemis slowly begins to cry alongside Canis. "Please listen to me. Please have faith in me." Artemis cries as Canis begins to scream, "Go away! I'm sorry! I'll do better next time!!" With each screaming word Artemis seems to die inside, wanting to be there for the love of his life but unable to help as had hidden himself from that same love, placing his hands to his eyes Artemis attempts to compose himself. Suddenly a painting hanging, next to the crying pair who are unable to help each other through their troubles, swings open. The painting reveals May standing on the other end, May steps out of the hidden passage closing the painting behind her as she leaves and rushes to Artemis' side, grabbing him from his shoulder. Artemis stands as May grabs him by the wrist and drags him away the same way a mother leads her crying child away from their dead pet's grave.

The remaining four selected stare at Canis unsure of how to respond to his sudden crying and screaming spell or towards Artemis' reaction. Mary breaks the silence, "What should we do?" Suddenly, a cat, as dark as the midnight sky, appears. The cat makes its way around Mary, then around Shiba, Kathleenia, and finally around Clark before it makes its way to Canis. Shiba asks, confused from the cat's sudden appearance, "Where did it come from?" "That's your question!?" Clark responds annoyed, and clearly still shocked from the events that transpired. Shiba responds quickly in self-protection, "I have a right to ask you sorry excuse for a Meígma!" Kathleenia breaks the two apart and points towards Canis and the cat, "Look over there!" The cat has curled on Canis' lap calming him down from his disheveled attacked state. Canis slowly starts to pet the cat, looking puzzled towards the cat almost as if he knows this black cat with star yellow eyes. "Yami what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Leon?" Canis asks with a soft voice of curiosity and kindness. Shiba interjects to Canis speaking "Leon?! As in Artemis Leon!?" Canis leans backwards hitting his head against the wall from shock, but manages to quickly respond, "Leon as in Leon Wolfworth."
