Chapter 4

Mew Alaric de la Merced is a wolf king of all wolf kind and Alpha of the Blazing Moon pack. He became a wolf king at the age of 18, his father let him take over the position and all the elders agreed for Mew have been very deserving of the title.

CEO of the biggest company in the world, the Waya's Industrial Company, owner of many schools and universities, everyone wants to be on his side.

3 years ago, after he was proclaimed as a new wolf king. His first mission was to let the vampire leaders accept the mating between wolves and vampires.

The conflict between vampire and wolf was patch up because of Mew, he was brave to meet the leader of the Gothic Guild of vampires and state his concern about the wellness of both kinds. He stated facts, ideas, and suggestions with all sincerity and honesty.

In the end, he succeeds to sign an agreement that mating between vampires and wolves is allowed but they can't have a baby for it will cause havoc to both kinds. Though it sounds absurd for all the wolves, Mew is confident that slowly and at the right time he can change that rule.

At the age of 20 Mew has accomplished great achievements between enemies that the previous king failed to do. Mew succeed to sign an agreement that vampires and wolves can go to the same school together, and punishment will be given to those who start conflict within school premises. And it is so surprising that both kinds got along just fine.

Though there are some arrogant, selfish, and stubborn vampires and wolves, they are under control by school laws and regulations. And for that reason, Mew gained a lot of trust and respect from all kinds. Making him the target of jealousy and betrayal.

Mew Alaric de la Merced, a serious and cold-hearted wolf king. At the age of 20, he won many kinds of wars and conflicts but failed to find his mate. He never met once though he travels a lot, he never finds his mate in any places.

Coming from another negotiation from another country, but then he failed to find his mate there. His frustration of not finding his mate made him a coldhearted and strict person, he thought that the moon goddess denied him a mate that he deserved. His aura is scary and he is feared by every member of his pack.

The Blazing Moon pack is located in Atlas mountain. Half of the area of the mountain was owned by royalty. Although everyone loved to live and stay inside the palace and enjoy the grandeur of every corner. Mew however loved to stay on the packed ground. He can let his wolf run whenever he wants.

He mind link his friends that he will be staying in the pack for a week. So everyone prepared everything for the comfort of their king. Luke and Bright, are half-blooded alpha their mother is an omega. They have been friends with Mew since childhood together with 5 other friends.

Arriving on the packed ground Mew was greeted by everyone, bowing to him showing their respect to their king. Mew walks past them and settles inside his own house. Sitting on a long beautiful sofa and release a sharp sigh, closing his eyes, resting his body on that soft chair.

"You looked fuck up Mew! " Luke exclaimed while grinning, their other friends laugh.

"I bet he didn't find his mate to wherever he came from! " Bright added to the tease.

The laughter echoed inside the house but faded immediately when they heard a low growl from their Alpha.

"Okay! Get some rest, I will tell the chef to prepare your food. Let's have a run after! " Luke said putting his hand on the air to calm his friend.

They left Mew inside to rest and went outside to gossip about him as if the alpha didn't hear them.

Night came and everyone is ready for a run and to patrol the borders at the same time. Mew shifts into his Black fur wolf named Apollo. Howling to the night he runs at the speed of the wind. Falling twigs and dried leaves make a sound every time the black wolf step on them.

The other wolves followed the alpha but parted on the center of the territory for their duty of patrolling every border. Mew together with Luke and Bright takes the north part where the beautiful cliff is. That is Mew's favorite place to stay every time he wants to talk to the moon.

Running through the forest going north, Mew suddenly felt a strange feeling. He halt on his track and observe the surroundings but nothing was found as a threat.

"Hey Mew, is there a problem? "Bright ask him.

Mew shook his head and continue running. Luke stop them when he felt a strange presence from the surroundings. It's not rogues, they have different smells.

The three alpha decided to shift into their human forms and found a cloth on the trees that were purposely left by all sentinels for all pack members.

Covering their bodies and make sure that they are in their decent form, Mew heightened all his senses for the possible encounter but nothing happens.

"That presence is not a rogue! " Luke said observing the surroundings and on high alert.

"So what do you think? Vampires? " Mew asked not sure of what to say.

"Vampires don't come here, they knew that trespassing on wolf territories means death! " Bright said in a monotone voice.

Mew is about to turn around and walk away, but his nostril smells something. The scent is intoxicatingly beautiful and sweet. Apollo screamed inside his head the word he wanted to hear "mate, mate! Our mate is here! " the wolf howling inside him.

He slowly walks following where the smell came from. The nearer he gets the more intoxicating the scent is. He feels his saliva flowing like a river inside his mouth and he is gulping hard. His friends called him but he didn't hear any of them for his focus was on the sweet smell. The two friends stay quiet and follow him.

They found themselves standing in front of a cliff, looking at the most beautiful wolf that they only heard in a legend. A silver wolf is standing in front of them, his snow-white fur is dancing with the wind.

The silver wolf turn around to face them, and they got mesmerized even more with his piercing red eyes. Mew on the other hand is breathing heavily, Apollo his wolf keeps chanting the word "mate".

"Mate," Mew said and was about to stride towards the silver wolf but got stop when two vampires stand in front of them.

"Run! " the silver wolf run fast, it made Mew whimper in pain and face the two vampires to kill them.

But as the vampire speed is faster than the wolves, they lost them.

Mew release a scary howl that made everyone whimper in fear.

Breathing hard when he reach the house, he make sure that no one followed him. A sudden gust of the wind made him snap but a sigh of relief escaped when he saw Ja and Haii standing in front of him.

"Make sure they can't trace your smell! " Gulf nod at them and get inside the house first.

He gets inside his room to take a shower but the eyes of that certain alpha wolf who called him "mate " keep flashing on his memory. The blazing silver eyes made his heart thumping like a thousand drums.

Turning on the shower, he let the water drown his thoughts. He knows about mates his mother told him about it before the tragedy happens. It's a bond that pulls you together, you can only break the bond once the other reject his fated mate and the other accept the rejection. But the pain is unbearable, you feel like you were going crazy, you feel like nothing matters anymore.

The moment he ran away from the Alpha, he felt a sudden pain in his chest. "Is that part of rejection? Did I reject my mate? " all that was in Gulf's thought.

"We didn't reject him Gulf, it's not the right time yet! " a sudden voice echoed inside his head.

He smiled when he realized that he has someone to talk to now even when he is alone.

"Hey, buddy! I'm Gulf! " Gulf smiled under the shower as they are talking face to face.

"Finally Gulf we are one! I'm Blizzard! " the wolf howl inside him and Gulf laugh at him.

Mew go back to the packhouse, fuming in anger. Luke and Bright never utter a word for they knew it's not the right thing to do.

"What's the matter? " Godt asked his two friends, Boat and Nine are staring at them waiting for their answer.

The two took a deep breath.

"He found his mate on the north side of the border near the cliff, a beautiful silver wolf! " Luke said. Looking at the door of the house debating whether he will follow Mew or let him alone, and he chooses the latter.

"A silver wolf? But it's only a legend! " Boat said in a confused tone.

They have read a book about the silver wolf, it possesses an extra power, it read and control minds like vampires, it said that once a true-blooded alpha mated to that silver wolf they will rule both kinds! 

"Are you sure that it's a silver wolf? Maybe it's just a light from the moon that illuminates his fur! " Nine said with a hand gesture.

"Stand there under the moonlight in your wolf form, let's see if you became white once the moonlight hit your fur!" Bright snarl at Nine makes everyone laugh.

"Damn, this is not good! It seems that the two vampires are protecting him! " Luke exclaimed heaving a deep breath.

"A vampire? " they asked in chorus.

"Yes, Mew is about to claim the wolf but the two vampires get in the way and told the silver wolf to run, in our surprise, he followed the order! I'm sure Mew felt the pain that his mate ran away from him! " Bright explained but they got startled when Mew open the door harshly and give them orders.

"Call the Gothic Guild and set an urgent meeting! I will declare war if they don't give me my mate! "
