/"Rule number three — /" I guided his finger across to the third leaf. /" — Be honest with Daddy./"

/"Honest,/" Oz echoed. His back was to my chest, but one arm had reached up so it could tug on my ear, while the other was still in mine. The paci had been plugged back into his mouth, and his lips bobbed to the suckling motion.

/"That's right, baby. Do you understand what that's asking from you and ready to move on to the next rule, or do you want Daddy to explain what it means?/"

/"It mean no porkies,/" Oz mumbled after spitting the sucker out of his mouth. /"No say porkies to Daddy, cuz dat bad./"

/"My clever boy./" I dropped a kiss on his head. /"Rule number four: Chores and homework must be completed before fun activities can be done. Chores will include putting toys away neatly, making the bed and cleaning toothpaste off the bathroom floor./"
