Lily

Lily cried in horror, she was not going to go to the orphanage. Never in a thousand years! Lily looked at Lizzy and Lilac, hoping they would say something.

No one said anything, so at last, Lily stepped forward and screamed: "NO WAY! YOU ARE NOT TAKING US TO THE ORPHANAGE!"

Lizzy nodded her head and said: "NO ORPHANAGE FOR US!

"YES, WE ARE NOT GOING TO THE ORPHANAGE, I AM THE OLDEST SO I GET TO DECIDE" Lilac joined in.

The police snickered: "Well, too bad, because that's where you're going." Lily stared at him in outrage, who did he think he was?

"Says who exactly?" Lilac bravely asked.

"ME! POLICEMAN FRANK HUGHES!" The police shouted, obviously annoyed.

"WELL I AM LILAC LOTTIE LEMON!" Lilac shouted back.

"AND I'M LILY LUNA LEMON!" Lily chimed in, determined to join.

"I'M LIZZY LYLA LEMON!" Lizzy shouted too.

The policeman sarcastically answered: "So what do you do?"

Lily, Lizzy, and Lilac looked at each other and answered: "WE DEFINITELY DON'T TAKE ORDERS FROM STUPID POLICE!"

The policeman's face grew red as Lily smirked. She didn't like the policeman, he deserved to be humiliated.

"I WAS TRYING TO HELP YOU CHILDREN, DO YOU NOT HAVE MANNERS?" The policeman stood up and stomped his feet. Looking smug, the sisters turned to face each other, silently coming to an agreement. Lily was excited and troubled about what they were going to do, but their parents weren't alive anymore, so how would any of that be significant? Lily took a deep breath and ran, she could hear her sisters slowly gaining speed and catching up too, she could also faintly hear the shouts of the crowd behind them, and lots of footsteps, but none of that mattered anymore, Lily just ran. After no-one-knows-how-many hours of running, Lily stopped at an alley. It looked very quiet and abandoned. Her sisters also came to a stop some seconds later. Lily looked left and right, hoping no one had caught up to them. Unbelievably, there was no one apart from them in sight. Breathing heavily, Lily turned to her sisters. They had to make a plan, even if there was a fight just hours ago.

"Lilac…what can we do?" She asked, breathlessly.

"I don't know…" Lilac muttered, clearly troubled. Lizzy snickered: "Ha, you read so many books and yet you do not know how to survive?"

Lilac's eyes gleamed: "OH YES! I REMEMBER READING A SURVIVAL BOOK! Okay, girls, this is what we're going to do. First of all, to survive, we need food, shelter, and also clean clothes! Then, if we need to survive by ourselves, we need someone to support us, because we need food for a long time, until our age allows us to work."

"It's easy to say, but where are you going to find that stuff? HUH?" Lizzy retorted.

"So maybe we could look for food at Mr. Bakers," Lilac continued, ignoring Lizzy's remark, "and for shelter, we need a warm, waterproof and stable place to live in, clothes, we need warm and clean ones. I guess me and Liz-UGH, fine, me and Lily go find food and clothes while that-girl-there goes to find shelter. We can meet at this alley after we've found those stuff."

"Who made you the leader?" Lizzy asked, crossing her arms.

Lilac just laughed and replied: "Well, that's what you're gonna follow if you don't have a better idea.

Lily watched as Lizzy clenched her fist walked out of the alley, screaming: "FINE, GO FIND YOUR BLOODY FOOD AND CLOTH! I'LL GO LOOK FOR SHELTER!"

"Well, Lily, let's go." Lilac said as she turned to Lily, shrugging.

Lily sighed, maybe she would just go as her sisters liked, afterall, there was no point in arguing.

"Ok. Let's go…" Lily replied.
