Vol. 1- Chapter 2: The Successor’s Arrival

Passengers of flight 110195, we have arrived at our destination, welcome to Japan…

The airplane lands in the Tokyo Airport, "Senpai, we´ve arrived." A young girl with short white hair says to Uriel.

Uriel Di Fiore (Age 20) is a young man with tan skin, blue eyes. He has long but neat hair, he has soulless green eyes. He is wearing a black buttoned shirt with blue pants, black shoes.

"Thank you Julia, it was a long journey but we´re here." Uriel says without any expression in his face. Julia looks at him and says:

"Y-y-yes senpai, I was informed that someone would come to pick us up."

"I see, very well let´s get going." Uriel replies as he grabs his luggage, Julia grabs her and begins to walk beside him. Julia Frode is a 19 year old girl; she has white short hair, blue eyes and white skin. She is a lower trunk agent; she is very shy and gets nervous with Uriel.

As they walk, people immediately turn to see them; this makes Julia even more nervous. "S-s-senpai, why are people staring at us? Are they enemies?"

Uriel continues walking as he replies; "No Julia, they are just looking at us, probably because we´re foreigners, don't worry about it, I don't sense hostility." Uriel grabs Julia´s hand causing her to blush as she asks:

"W-W-WHY ARE YOU HOLDING MY HAND?"

"It´s easier to move like this and for you not to get lost, is there a problem?" Uriel asks not knowing why Julia was so nervous.

"N-n-no, that´s okay, I don't mind…" Julia says as she smiles. Uriel and Julia reach the end of the airport, many women from all ages whisper things like:

Wow, he´s so handsome, is he a supermodel?

Are they a couple?

She´s so white, like a doll?

As they go out, Julia looks for the contact; Uriel stands in the door as he begins to think:

"It´s been 18 months since I left my soul, Isabella and Yoshiro told me that the Blue Witch is in Japan, however I have no clue where to look. I don't trust them completely but I guess I have no choice here."

"URIEL, URIEL, I FOUND THE PERSON WHO WILL TAKE US TO SAKURA CITY" Julia waves at him, Uriel begins to walk towards her direction, Uriel and Julia walk a few meters when they encounter an old man wearing a suit.

"Good morning, my name is Charles Dubois, I will escort you to Sakura City, please get in the limousine."

Charles Dubois (Age 60) is a strong French man; he does not have hair left and wears glasses. He has a big mustache, white skin and green eye.

Uriel looks at him and thinks; "This presence, I think I´ve seen him before, but I can't remember."

"Mr. Di Fiore, please get into the limousine." Charles interrupts Uriel; Uriel and Julia get on the limousine, the limousine begins to head towards Sakura City. Uriel and Julia looks outside, Tokyo. There are modern buildings along with multiple skyscrapers, as they move on, they see traditional temples and thousands and thousands of people walking along side them.

As they leave the city, they see many rice plantations and traditional houses. "You see, Sakura City is located in the middle of those mountains, the city was built between them in order to keep the outside world from knowing our secrets."

"I see, than you don't receive tourists?"

"Oh yes, you see, people from all over the world visit Sakura City, but they need to have special permission to enter"

Uriel looks at the window and sees a long line of cars waiting for a chance to get in the mountain. In the mountain there is a traditional giant gate, with sensory units.

"That´s the Heaven´s gate, people need to pass through inspection in order to proceed, but don't worry, we´re going to use another route." The limousine turns right where there is a sign that says:

NO ROAD AHEAD….TURN BACK

The limousine driver presses a button, suddenly a tunnel opens and a secret road is revealed. The limousine passes through the road, Charles continues to explain:

"Right now, we are using a secret road that only those who are Root members or above can use, but you are special, you are considered a member above a Root level Mr. Di Fiore. Sakura City has a special barrier that detects any hostile activity."

"I see" Uriel look at him suspiciously, the limousine goes through the tunnel, suddenly there is light coming at the end, as they exit the tunnel, Uriel sees that they are on top of a mountain and descending.

As they go down, they see thousands and thousands of Cherry Blossom Trees covering the whole city; the city is also a combination of modern structures and incredible high tech buildings, and traditional Japanese buildings and temples.

"You see, what makes this city so unique is that Cherry Blossoms grow all year long, no matter if its winter or summer, the city is always covered in Cherry Blossoms, thus it was given the name "Sakura City"

"Wow, it´s so pretty, I never imagined I would come here." Julia says with a face full of excitement, "Julia I thought you came from here, aren´t you a member?"

"Well yes, but I came from the European division, so I never visited Japan before."

" I understand" Uriel replies, Julia continues to see as they approach as giant building located in the center of the city, the building is 200 floors tall and has windows that reflect the Cherry Blossom´s pink color.

"Uriel let me ask you something, what is your purpose coming here?" Charles asks Uriel, Uriel look s at him and replies:

"I came here to find a certain person"

"Are you perhaps looking for the Blue Witch?"

Uriel looks at him with suspicion and asks; "How do you know that?"

"I am looking for her as well; you see there is a certain mistress that I want to save."

"What do you mean by that; don't tell me that you are…"

"We´ve arrived, I´m sorry but we will continue our conversation, some other time." Charles says as they park in the building, Uriel and Julia get out of the limousine, a man with orange hair approaches them.

���Good work, Charles, you may return to the mansion…." The man says with a smile. "Understood sir, I shall make preparations for dinner." Charles enters the limousine, the limousine leaves.

Julia gets into one knee saying; "I´ve completed my mission as well, Miyazono-san" Reo Miyazono is the Chief of Staff, he is Katsumi´s uncle.

"Miyazono huh, he has her last name…" Uriel thinks as he sees the man.

"Good work, Julia, please stand up, you don't need to be so formal." The man says to Julia, he looks at Uriel and smiles:

"I´ve waited so long to meet you, it´s a pleasure Uriel Di Fiore. My name is Reo Miyazono and I´m the chief of staff of Yggdrasil."

He stretches his hand to Uriel, Uriel shakes his hand replying; "The pleasure is mine, Miyazono"

"Please call me Reo. I would like to discuss things with you two in my office, please come this way."

Uriel, Julia and Reo head to the elevator, they walk through the hallway. GYAAHH, HE IS SO HANDSOME… WHO IS HE?

As they head to the elevator, many women look at Uriel with heart-shape eyes; Uriel walks normal as if nothing was happening. Julia looks at them jealous as Reo laughs:

"My, you sure are a lady killer Uriel"

"I don't care about that stuff, I only came here to talk with the director, we made a deal" Uriel replies without any expression.

"I see, well unfortunately Director isn't here, but don't worry, you may still speak to him." The three of them arrive to floor 150. They head to the end of the hallway where a man with brown skin passes by.

"So he´s the one that Director Inoue was talking about? He doesn't seem that strong"

"Alvaro, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover." Reo says to him, Alvaro glares at Uriel, Uriel doesn't even look at him, and Alvaro goes to the elevator. Alvaro de la Hoya is a brown skin man with hazel eyes. He wears a reddish suit with a black tie. He is in charge of the economic divisions of Yggdrasil. He manages the transactions and pays the workers, specially the Root members.

"Sorry about that, he is one of the leaders here, but don't attention to him."

"That´s alright, now where is Yoshiro."

"I´ll communicate him to you immediately but first…" Reo vows his head surprising both Uriel and Julia. "Miyazono-san, what are you doing?"

"Ever since I learned about what you did in the war 2 years ago, I wanted to say; Thank you for saving my daughter Katsumi."

Uriel opens his eyes wider and asks; "Wait, you´re Katsumi´s father?"

"Well, technically I´m her uncle by me and my wife raise her like our own daughter. To be honest I was never in favor for her being on the other side of the world. She took such a dangerous mission that I couldn't sleep on night thinking about her safety."

"I see" Reo continues to explain; "That mission was very dangerous and I often kept insisting her to return but she always declined saying that she was fine because she met a wonderful young man who was very strong. A man named Uriel Di Fiore,we then learned your true identity…"

"So you told her to eliminate me?"

"Not at all, we ever intended to do that, after all, you´re Roberto´s son, one of my best friends. Everyone here was worried about you, because your opponent was member of the Enlightened...Tell me, are they that strong?"

"I´m sorry, but I won't answer that… I still don't trust you…"

"Right, I´m sorry, but once again, thank you for saving my daughter…" Reo says with tears in his eyes, Uriel sighs with his eyes close; "Look, I only did what I believe was right okay, besides I came to talk with Yggdrasil about the whereabouts of the Blue Witch."

"You´re right Uriel, that´s why I told Reo to bring you here in order to make a deal." The voice of Director Yoshiro as he appears in a hologram; Yoshiro Inoue, the General Director of Yggdrasil, he is an old man with wrinkled face. He has two different colored eyes and no hair. He is wearing a black suit with pink tie and a golden cane.

"Uriel, you look well, it´s been 2 years huh."

"That´s right, I came here like I promise…" Uriel says to the Director, "Aww yes, I´m sorry that I couldn't be there personally, I´m currently in England making deals with the Round Table so I won't be going home in a while…"

"I understand now where is the Blue Witch?"

"Unfortunately, we lost track of her one year ago in Kyoto, but worry not, we are currently looking for her, now then I see that you don't trust us so I want to give you important information for you to hear."

Julia begins to walk backwards, "Sounds like you guys are going to speak about important things, so I am going…"

"No please stay this is important…" Director Yoshiro says to Julia, Julia stops and looks at the floor filling embarrassed. "Now then Uriel, do you know about the Enlightened?"

"I know them, Darius was part of them, but they don't interest me in the slightest."

"Oh but they will, because Aleister Lucifugus is a part of them." Uriel looks at Yoshiro with a serious expression.

"Now then, the Enlightened are an organization that have been around for thousands of years, they control the world governments and now they are after the Philosopher Stones."

Uriel remembers the stone that was on the top of the pyramid. "There are nine stones in total and we of Yggdrasil are currently searching for them as well, apparently they will awakened and the Enlightened want them."

"I see, tell me more about the Enlightened"

"The Enlightened have thousands or perhaps millions of members but their most powerful members are the ones who control the "Doomsday Clock" they are 12 members who have incredible strength, their strongest member is the First Hour and Aleister Lucifugus is the 10th Hour."

"I understand, those people are strong indeed"

"That´s correct, now Aleister and the Enlightened control Eastern Europe and continue to expand. We currently have members fighting them all over the world. Uriel, I ask for your cooperation with this war, and in exchange we will locate the Blue Witch for you…"

"And why should I trust you? I know that you wanted to eliminate me, and I know that Reo lied."

"How did you know?" Reo and Julia look at Uriel surprised.

"I can sense when someone is lying, and now I will ask you once again, are you my enemies?"

Uriel begins to build pressure causing the lights to turn on and off. Reo smiles and replies:

"Uriel, believe me when I say that I want to help you and I want you to help us." Reo gets into his knees and lowers his head:

"I beg of you, please aid us in this war against the Enlightened."

Uriel is surprised to see Reo in his knees and sighs; He looks at Julia putting puppy eyes and the Director.

"Very well, I don't sense that you are no longer lying to me so I will help because I also have Aleister Lucifugus as my objective."

"That´s wonderful, now we have the one of the four on our side, Uriel I promise you that we will find the Blue Witch no matter what…In the mean time, I have a special request from your mother."

"A request from my mother?"

"That´s right, it´s about a special job that she asked us for you, and we plan for you to do it starting today, it will serve as practice because finding the Blue Witch will take time…" Yoshiro says to Uriel, Uriel looks at them with suspicion and asks:

"What kind of request did my mother asks you?"
