Chapter 9. It's Miya Not Sophia

"No Mrs. Baron, you must be mistaken, that's not Sophia, that's Bella, my step daughter"

Mrs. Venetia wasted no time in correcting Mrs. Loveth, but she just wouldn't back down, she was sure that Bella was the name her son sent and the pictures were of this woman, except a better version of her.

But just incase, she asked, "Is she also a Swiss?"

"Well yes, she is the first daughter of my husband, but I am sure it's Sophia, I'll send her to you"

"Don't worry Mrs. Swiss, I know what I am saying"

Although Bella just came out, she vaguely heard what they were saying, the information of her hand being asked in marriage was also heard by her.

She felt it was such a weird coincidence, she caught her boyfriend cheating with her sister and called it quits with him.

Then she ended up waking in a strange man's bed in the morning, having slept with him, she was nit still over that shock and now she heard of someone asking for her hand in marriage.

What annoyed her was that her step mother was trying to make sure that Sophia ends up getting the proposal instead of her.

She got the impression that it whoever wanted to marry her was a big deal since Venetia herald was moved, even the gifts on the table were sufficient to tell the same story, then if that was the case, then she would never let that happen.

She left the broken pieces of glass to the maid and rushed towards Mrs. Baron.

"Hello mother in law, sorry you had to see me being careless just now, I was so surprised to see you here that's why, we're you talking about my wedding?"

The two elderly women were speechless seeing her act.

Mrs. Baron was the first to recover, she held Bella and spoke kindly to her.

"Yes dear, it's in five days time, aren't you eager to get married?"

She said that to test Bella because she doesn't know what her character is.

Bella smiled at her and said "Of cause mom, I am so eager to get married"

Venetia was still shocked by the two in front of her, seeing that they were exchanging words as if this was not the first time they met, she was greatly troubled.

"It turns out these two people know each other already and I was forcing her to choose my daughter instead, hope they will not have a bad impression of me?" Venetia thought, then she forced a smile on her face and joined in their conversation.

"Yes Mrs. Baron, as Bella's step mother, I am more than happy to have her marry your son"

Loveth thought that Venetia was acting strangely, but she did not expose her, instead, she excuses herself,

After all, she has done what had brought her here and must go and prepare for the wedding.

Just as she left, Mr. Swiss came down to have his breakfast, Bella looked at him and immediately mentioned that she's getting married and her mother in law had personally been in the house this morning.

Mr. Swiss was not disturbed by the news, but instead, he as happy that Bella took the bother to tell him about it herself, this was the first time she spoke to him since last week.

As such, he was willing to let her marry this person without even knowing who it is, as long as she was happy and would be talking more frequently with him in the future, then nothing else will matter.

Shortly after, Sophia came down just in time to hear Bella talk about her marriage, she thought that it was ridiculous.

She had made sure to set a trap for her by sending her the room number of the hotel they were going to spend the night two days ago.

She intentionally didn't luck the door, knowing the kind of person Bella was, she knew that she had entered and seen them tangled with each other before she ran away to cry.

Then how was it possible that she was already talking about marriage, how many suitors does she have, unless of cause it's a lie and she's just faking it.

"Is my sister getting married? I wonder who she's found willing to marry her". She spoke out loud disturbing the atmosphere of the table.

Her mother hit her on her leg signaling for her to keep quiet, but she kept talking.

"It's true, is Karen liking to get married now? I thought you two were waiting to spend five years courting each other first before you'll tie the not, what changed?"

Bella clenched her fist at the mention of Karen's name, she knew Sophia was intentionally calling his name to instigate her.

But she was smart enough to also play the same game that Sophia was playing with her, she smiled gently and spoke.

"Well my dear step sister, a lot of things have changed, why don't you ask your mother who it is that I will be getting married to?"

The two ladies turned to look at Venetia, who felt very small in their presence, seeing that Everybody's eye was on her, she had to spill the beans.

"Mrs. Baron was here this morning to ask for Bella's hand in marriage on behalf of her son Mr. Baron"

There was total silence then everyone expressed their shock.

"Is it really the Baron family that wishes to marry my daughter? I can't believe this"

It was really strange for him, twenty years ago, Hegan Swiss and John Baron used to be very good friends, they even planned to open a business together and be in partnership.

They had big ambitions of ruling the country with their business ideas, but something happened between the two of them and they both went separate ways.

So to say that he was shocked the Swiss family were the ones willing to marry his daughter, the hope he had lost about being friends again was suddenly rekindles, he immediately agreed to the proposal.

Bella on the other hand was shocked, annoyed and angry that Bella was sought after by such a rich man, she wished it was her, but there was little she could do by then.

Five days later, in imperial hotel, A lady was seen entering the hall in a luxurious looking red floor length one piece cheongsam gown that fitted her curves perfectly.

The silk material of the gown is decorated with gold and silver embroidery making it look very elegant and feminine.

She also had a red veil covering part of her hair as she walked gently into the hall where a certain young handsome man in long red sheath with a jacket that had decorations similar to her gown.

That day, the whole town talked about the wedding of James Baron the young master of the Baron family and Bella Swiss the first daughter of the Swiss family.
