Chapter 3

Just like that half a year passed.

Jake continued to train, unlike Han Xiao he needed to get stronger and why weaken yourself when the best trainers are training you. Jake was assigned some missions too. Usually to kill an official or to intercept a cargo. He has completed over a number of missions and is a squad leader now.

Jake was resting in his room. Yes he got his own room and an office. What's the office use we don't know.

Suddenly he got a notification on his communication device. It was the base head.

"Zero has gone rogue and destroyed the Valkyrie data and killed a number of men at the Valkyrie base. You and your team are assigned to hunt down Zero and bring him back." The base head ordered.

'Hahaha, looks like Han Xiao actually escaped and is on the run good for him. Looks like I will get my nano suit today.' Jake thought.

"Who did a failed subject escape a base where there are powerful officers assigned to protect it". Jake asked in a pissed off tone.

"There is no time to discuss any details you and your team are to bring back Zero at any cost." The base head ordered.

In the forest outside the Valkyrie base.

Han Xiao found some ration and water in the boot of the car. He stored them inside his bag and continued on foot. As he was unable to do anything about the trail that his car had left, he could only change his direction slightly to throw off any pursuers.

The night was his cloak.

Although Han Xiao was completely exhausted, and his stamina was almost depleted, he did not dare to stop for a break.

Suddenly, Han Xiao heard the sound of engines coming from behind. He instantly sought for shelter behind a tree before peeking out to see 3 sets of flickering headlights about 300 meters away.

He was about to creep towards a safer location when suddenly, a gunshot pierced the night.

Han Xiao's danger sense tingled, and he threw himself onto the ground. Something grazed past his shoulder. He turned to see that the bullet had narrowly missed him to pierce a tree ten meters away.

The three vehicles stopped, and 6 men alighted. They were none other than Night Owl Squad 3. The person who had fired was Silver Blade.

Six Cyclopes‽ Han Xiao was momentarily taken aback by their appearance. Those are night vision goggles!

Han Xiao cursed his luck.

Suddenly he heard some gun shots and they were not aiming towards him.

Jake got out of his vehicle and his team was waiting for his orders.

They were the only Valkyrie soldiers that the Germinal Organization had left. Naturally they were quite important. Too bad they had to die.

Jake had tried to recruit them towards his plans but they were really affected by the brainwashing and they had no hope.

So as soon as Jake got out of his vehicle he soot at their heads and killed every single one of them.

Naturally Han Xiao was confused by the gun shots and left from his hiding.

"Yo" Jake greeted Han Xiao.

"Yo too" Han Xiao was confused and had nothing else to say.

There was an awkward silence between them for a while and Jake decided to start the conversation.

"Hey man, the name is Jake or the organisation gave me the name One but I prefer Jake. What's your real name other than Zero?" Jake asked.

"What's happening here?" Han Xiao questioned back.

"Yeah, I was not actually brainwashed and I just stayed there for a while. It was actually fun, cool stuff too" Jake showed off his equipment and other items.

"So what are you doing here and why did you kill off your team? Han Xiao asked.

"Well they were a real danger for the society and as a citizen and a person I felt like I should take it upon myself to clean them off the planet." Jake said like a hero puffing up his chest.

"I can't believe that you fooled the organisation for more than 6 months I thought I was the only one who could do it. Hahahaha.... So what's your name?".

"Han Xiao" he replied.

"So Han Xiao what's the plan now?" Jake asked.

But before Han Xiao could reply the communication device on Jake's hands started to buzz. A smile came on his face.

"Hahahaha looks like our boss is calling me to know the situation, come on let's have some fun." Saying that Jake came near Han Xiao and put a hand around and answered the call.

"One what's the situa....." Before he could complete the sentence Jake interpreted him.

"What's up boss man how's everything going, you sleep well?" Jake asked while trying to control his laugh.

Han Xiao was too stunned to give any reply.

This was the Germinal Organization head. The final boss of the whole Aquamarine planet.

And Jake was talking to him as he was his pal from college.

And the Germinal's boss was really pissed off too. You could see it in his body language.

"What's the meaning of this answer me?" The leader of the Germinal Organization was pissed.

"Well it seems my hand sleped and everybody is dead, sorry about that. I'm taking a long vacation too." Jake stated.

"Do you think you can truly escape from us? No matter where you go, the Germinal Organization will find you. However, I can give you a chance to live."

"Return to the organization obediently. I will allow you to retain your memories. You will be given a position you deserve," answered the boss.

He was angry about loosing the Valkyrie data and his assets.

"Hey Han say hai to the Boss-man" Jake pointed the camera at Han Xiao.

"You want to rope both of us in even after I've killed so many of your people?" Han Xiao asked the leader.

"Yes, they are replaceable. We could come to an agreement." He stated.

"What makes you think I want to work under you?" Han Xiao asked back.

"We are destined to accomplish greater things. Join us. What's there to hesitate? Oh, I know. Is it because you are still unhappy with how we treated you before? Don't be so petty, think of the bigger picture. Such things are trivial when compared to our ultimate goal."

Han Xiao looked at Jake looking for his opinion.

"Hey man I'm not going back, alright leave me alone." Jake said.

Han Xiao replied coldly, "I have no interest whatsoever in your ideology."

"If you refuse to join us, there will not be a place for you in this world!" threatened the boss.

"Says the guy hooked upto a breathing mask and a viser, who do you think you are Darth Vader?" Jake taunted.

"Who's that ?" Han Xiao asked confused.

"He's a cool guy, I will tell you about him later." Jake said laughing.

"Zero and One come back now I won't give you another chance." The leader said again.

"Nah we are cool right Han."

"Yeah and I will destroy you all," Han Xiao declared.

'we were having a good thing going on and he reuined it ahhh' Jake thought.

"Yeah I'm gonna stick with my vacation plans so... Ahh I almost forgot tell Hela I will miss he bubble butt." Jake said.

"It shakes man" Jake said to Han Xiao but everyone in the other side also heard.

"You can't hide anywh...." Before the leader could continue Jake crushed the communication device.

"Well that was fun, so what's your plan" Jake asked again.

"I will destroy the Germinal Organization and wipe out every single one of their agents from this planet" Han Xiao declared.

'Woah hearing this is really..... Weird. Well good for him he got his mission and I have got my mission. It will be for the best. Time to leave.' Jake said in his mind.

"We should work together and we have the same goal" Han Xiao said.
