Dishi, the demon squirrel thief

"Eagle Boss, your friends look scary!" a man with a trembling voice trying to be humorous, stated. His hair was light brown and messy as if birds pooped all over it and he didn't bother to wash it. His honey eyes glinted. His clothes were tattered and worn out. A red mark was on the middle of his forehead. The Mark featured an oak leaf.

"A Squirrel demon!" Wu Yuhang uttered with a hoarse voice, exhaling sharp steam out between his fangs.

The white tiger of the western land couldn't endure demons.

"Are you eating without us?"

Lord Ming Xiao Bo folded his arms across his chest, ignored the furious White Tiger, and complained.

"Eagle Boss, you promised that they won't harm me."

The demon jumped behind Prince Jinhai who was standing there, carefree and expressionless.

The demon Squirrel clasped the prince's black robe between his black-stained fingers, clenching hard onto him and peeking at the others who seemed indifferent and ambiguous.

"Shake your dirty fingers off me!"

Prince Li Jinhai warned sharply.

No one even turned to look at the demon squirrel but Lord Wu Yuhang. His fierce eyes could tear one's flesh into pieces.

The demon Squirrel swallowed his saliva and gave a pleading look to his eagle boss.

Lord Ming Xiao Bo waved his hand, "Let go of Li Jinhai, no one would hurt you. Come, we will treat you to a good meal. I'll buy you nuts."

He gave the demon a certain nice smile.

But it didn't give him a sense of safety, the squirrel shook his head and buried his face in Prince Jinhai's robe. As you guessed, The prince's eyes ran wide in bitterness, he quickly performed a spell and hurled the squirrel onto an empty chair next to Lord Wu Yuhang.

They took their seats and Lord Xiao Bo summoned the waiter.

"Young man, come here."

The waiter quickly obeyed and arrived to take the order.

"I have a substantial guest, bring him a huge bowl of nuts."

But even the temptation of eating so many nuts couldn't suppress the demon squirrel's apprehension. He snatched a glance at the white tiger seated next to him, their eyes met and he sheepishly feigned a grin, crouching in his chair.

"Is this your thief?"

Lord Luo Hao Yu asked doubtfully.

"Yes, I never said that I will bring a human, anyway, let me introduce you, this is Dishi, the demon squirrel. From now onward, he is working for us."

Surprise!

Dishi tilted his head, did he try to lure him with a huge bowl of nuts? He never indicated that he had gotten him a job or so!

"I had never accepted to work with you!"

Suddenly he gathered his courage and uttered those words witlessly but swiftly changed his mind when the scariest among all of these men shot him a horrendous wry glare. Even the aura in his eyes could melt a demon, let alone anything else.

Dishi stammered helplessly, pursing his lips to let out the words forcefully.

"Demon squirrels are puckish and disloyal, how are you certain that he wouldn't flee after gaining his nuts?"

Feng Feiyu mentioned.

He took out a silver oval-shaped core with a squirrel carving on it and handed it to Prince Li Bai.

Dishi's face paled, "You saved me, but you wanted to eat me. You deceive me all the time."

Ming Xiao Bo's gleeful expression changed and turned into a grave dangerous look, a threatening blaze flashed in his eye, "Are you trying to break your oath?"

His tone was menacing, Demon Dishi quickly sensed that hazardous aura.

He laughed and smacked his palm on the table, "I was joking, you have a sense of humor Eagle boss, haven't you? You can find no one as devoted as me among demons. I am the man of my word."

Li Bai chuckled and gave him a meaningful peek, 'We will see how loyal you are.'

Xiao Bo clapped his hands, exactly, he just wanted to hear those words then his hands roamed on the roasted chicken leg and severed one.

"I'm starving, let's have some pleasure."

Demon Dishi watched them eat and sighed but soon his eyes rolled on the disciples of Xue mountain. How fortuitous this coincidence was, he could scheme a tumult and knock over his oath core and escape.

In the meantime, a huge bowl of cracked nuts was set in front of him. He forgot all about his plan.

His mouth was watery, and his eyes enlarged and glistened with joyous stars, oh, don't say that, the scent intoxicated him, subconsciously, his hands ravaged the bowl and he stuffed huge amounts of nuts into his mouth, munching rapidly.

"Hoi, eat properly, you slaughtered my appetite." Li Jinhai nagged.

A few grains of chewed nuts spat out of his mouth and spread on Wu Yuhang.

The Lord closed his eyes, gritted his teeth and when he opened his eyes, they changed color into a pair of golden suns.

Dishi swallowed the nuts and covered his mouth. He couldn't stir up a dispute with this one.

After being done with the food, Li Bai and Ming Xiao Bo went on their feet, tending to meet the White peacock in his office.

Dishi quickly jumped up and sprinted to go with them but slipped and hit the prince.

Li Bai closed his eyes, trying to subside his anger when the demon clutched his robe.

"Oh, please spare me. I am all nuts."

Dishi drew a hand on his belly and burped, a cloud of nut scent wafted in the air.

"You Idiot! How dare you?"

Luo Hao Yu stood up to reprimand the demon squirrel but the prince put his palm up and avoided him.

Dishi found it difficult to settle with these men, kneeling before the prince, he begged for his mercy.

"Please forgive me, don't claim my life, Wolf boss."

He was shaking in terror.

"What a clown!"

Wu Yuhang sighed, he hated crafty demons. This mere idiot was fishy, he could smell it and there was no way to be convicted and trust him.

"Get up, and sit there. We will come back soon."

Dishi turned his head and gazed back at the tiger who was drumming his fingers on the table. He had still the dangerous predator aura around him.

"Are you sure that he wouldn't kill me?"

Xiao Bo bent and grabbed Dishi's arms to make him stand on foot.

"He won't hurt you, just sit there and be a good demon to be secured."

He treated him pleasingly and when he was about to pat his head, he blinked a few times while catching sight of the dirt on his hair, he changed his mind, drew his palm away, and left with the crown prince.

Dishi sat on his chair, now he needed to make the troop of Xue disciples riot against these men. He clenched the silver oath core in his palm. His trick served him well this time.

'I have my oath core now, however, I could have not imagined to have it this easily! Sigh, it does not matter, I'll be free soon.' Dishi thought and looked back over his shoulders. A devilish smirk stretched on his face.
