Chapter 14-Rankings
They both had breakfast, and Nirvana woke up because of the smell of food.
Knowing that Nirvana had a big appetite, Tessa had cooked a lot of food.
Nirvana didn't realize that her body was getting stronger and her bloodline was purer and evolving due to Dwight's blood.
As a baby, she only cared about eating and sleeping.
After breakfast, Dwight took a bath and got ready, as someone would soon come to guide them to the orientation.
An hour later, they heard a knock on the door.
Tessa opened it to find a woman in a blue uniform holding a staff.
The woman introduced herself, "Hello, newbies. I'm Berlin, a second-year student from the Mage department. I'm here to guide you to the orientation."
Tessa introduced Dwight and herself.
Berlin was surprised by Dwight's handsomeness and didn't expect to be guiding the young master of the Starlight Clan.
She hadn't known the identities of those she was assigned to guide, so she was shocked to realize it was Dwight from the Starlight Clan.
She had heard a lot about him and now understood why people were fascinated by him—he was incredibly handsome.
Berlin quickly asked Dwight to follow her, leaving Tessa and Nirvana in the room.
Tessa didn't mind, but Nirvana wanted to follow. Tessa used food to calm her down.
As they walked toward the orientation room, Tessa felt a force pulling her towards Dwight, but she couldn't focus on it.
Dwight noticed her behavior but was used to such attention.
While walking, many female students glanced at Dwight, though they behaved themselves due to school rules.
After five minutes, they reached the orientation room, where Dwight saw 300 students chatting, with a few standing alone.
Berlin hesitantly said goodbye and left them.
Some students had already made friends and connections, while others stayed alone and indifferent.
Suddenly, seven figures appeared in front of them, each wearing different colors.
Dwight recognized one of them as Professor Donald.
The room fell silent as Professor Donald spoke.
"Hello, young students. I'm Professor Donald from the Mage department, and I'll be leading the orientation."
He scanned the students and noticed Dwight in the back row, perhaps because he had arrived late.
Professor Donald had been informed by Master David to allow Dwight to communicate with his peers and fellow students.
"Those people behind me are the leaders of each department," Professor Donald said.
- Professor Queenie from the Crafting Department.
- Professor Archie from the Warrior Department.
- Professor Snake from the Assassin Department.
- Professor Rin from the Alchemy Department.
- Professor Kenny from the Marksmanship Department.
- Professor Sophia, who leads the Swordsmanship Department.
He introduced each professor and then began explaining the academy's rules.
"First, now that you're enrolled in the academy, your status will be equal. It doesn't matter if you're a prince, princess, young master, or commoner."
"All of you are students here, and you must follow the academy's rules."
"Killing is forbidden within the academy. However, we understand that rivalries and fights may arise. You may challenge others in the duel arena."
"If someone refuses your challenge, you cannot force them to accept."
"Next, you can choose any department to enroll in. You can even choose multiple departments, but your time is limited, and this is not recommended."
"Classes are divided into S, A, B, C, and D."
"S Class is for students who show the highest potential and strength, while D Class is for those who are mediocre and have just passed the assessment."
"You can move up to a higher class by challenging and defeating a student in that class."
"You can only challenge someone once a day. If you are challenged, you must wait until the next day for another duel."
"As newcomers, no one will challenge you for the first week. However, you can challenge others if you wish, but be aware that anyone can challenge you if you do so."
"You have all been assigned dorms and can bring only two people with you."
"There are also classes for Beast Tamers and Spirit Summoners, but the professors for these departments are very selective about whom they accept."
"There is also…"
"Oh, it's also forbidden to…"
Professor Donald continued talking, and Dwight found it increasingly boring.
He wanted to leave immediately but noticed that Professor Donald was keeping an eye on him.
"Tsk, this old bastard," Dwight muttered under his breath.
He had no choice but to wait and finish the orientation.
After an hour, Professor Sophia took over from Professor Donald and continued speaking.
"Ehem, weaklings, just as Professor Donald mentioned earlier, you can call me Professor Sophia from the Swordsmanship Department. Those who wish to learn swordsmanship should come to our department."
"Now, I will announce your rankings in your batch based on the assessment and the class you will be in."
"Rankings will be based on your talent and strength"
"Remember, you can raise your ranking by challenging them"
"Those who rank 1 to 50 will be the class S"
"Rank 51-100 will be class A"
"Rank 101-150 will be class B"
"Rank 151 to 200 will be class C"
"Rank 201 to 300 will be class D"
Everyone held their breath as they were excited about their rankings.
Rankings are important to them as they show that they are better than others.
This school is competitive and there is no place for incompetence in the academy.
Sophia starts to announce the rankings.

Commander Sophia announced the rankings, and everyone expected Dwight to be in first place.
They had seen him break the orb, which indicated his talent surpassed the gold level.
Some students were disappointed by their lower ranks, while others were determined to challenge those above them to improve their standings.
The room buzzed with conversation as everyone discussed their rankings.
Dwight, on the other hand, regretted showcasing his talent during the assessment.
Being ranked first meant he would be in the spotlight, with many eyes on him and numerous challenges likely coming his way.
He wasn't concerned about the ranking and preferred to laze around.
He might even concede defeat just to lower his rank and avoid the attention.
Sophia continued speaking.
"Quiet, please."
"We will assign you your own dorms, and the quality of these dorms will be based on your ranking."
"Higher-ranked students will receive better accommodations and treatment."
"Each of you will start with a certain number of points. These points are necessary to purchase resources within the academy."
"You can earn points by completing missions posted in the Mission Hall."
"How you earn points depends on your ranking, and the lower your rank, the fewer points you can earn each week."
"S Class students receive a 60% discount on resources and enjoy superior living conditions."
"A Class students get a 50% discount, and B Class students receive a 30% discount."
"C Class students get a 10% discount, while D Class students receive no discount on purchases."
"So, work hard to improve your rank and ensure your survival in the academy."
"Additionally, you cannot challenge anyone who is ranked five levels higher than you."
"If your points reach zero within a week, you will be expelled from the academy."
