Escaping from Voldemort

At the same time, Voldemort's other free arm went near his mouth and created a ball of flames before it transformed into a giant fire serpent as it shot towards the ice knight.

The ice knight was captured by 'Fiendfyre'. It fell to the ground. Without anywhere to escape, the ice started to melt, eventually turning into vapor.

Meanwhile, the scarlet light and green light were stuck in the middle, trying to push each other but to no avail.

"Trying to ambush me with such petty tricks…" Voldemort shifted his attention back to Neal who looked very calm on the surface.

He used more magic power to push the jet of scarlet light.

As the killing curse was overpowering the disarming charm, Neal opened his mouth, "you aren't the only one who can use two different spells at the same time."

He raised his right arm where the basilisk wand is resting. While walking back to reach Harry, he pointed it at Voldemort, "this is my strongest spell. Try to stop it, if you can. Even I can't control it very well…"

Before the killing curse reached him, a terrifying amount of fog was shot from the basilisk wand before it dispersed in the surroundings.

For a couple of moments, even Voldemort's visibility was dulled.

By the time it dispersed and became thin, Neal and Harry are nowhere to be found. Voldemort realized that he was being fooled.

"No…" Voldemort roared in anger. "Find those two…"

Meanwhile, somewhere nearby Gagareth, a mountain straddling the border between Lancashire and North Yorkshire in England;

Neal's maternal uncle, Leon Avery was having an evening walk while inspecting the construction.

It is the village of Greylin, which was currently being hidden from the rest of the world by a giant barrier over it. The construction of the safe houses was finished but not everything. Things like taverns, hospitals, a school for kids below 11, a dueling arena, and Quidditch ground are also being constructed.

It wasn't necessary but no one knows whether Voldemort will even back or not. So, Oakley Avery thought he might as well turn Greylin into a wizarding village when the purpose is over.

Because the construction is done by the inanimate stone warriors made out of magic, they wouldn't need daylight to do the work, although they might need supervision all the time.

So, at Greylin, the members of the Avery family and their distant relatives could be seen at all times.

Under the absence of Oakley who had gone to Hogwarts to watch the third task of the tournament, Leon Avery took the job of inspection, although he had yet to recover completely.

Walking at a slow pace, Leon was breathing in and out with a smile on his face, "the open fresh air…"

Leon was enjoying his time outside for he spent several years in Azkaban, being tortured by Dementors every day.

"Aaaah"

All of a sudden, a scream was heard from the sky.

Leon turned around. Two figures landed on the ground. One of them perfectly landed on foot and the other one fall on the back.

*Thud*

"Hmm?" Leon furrowed his brows. "Who are they?"

The other Averys also looked in the direction as Leon walked towards the two figures.

"Harry, come on." A familiar voice was heard from the person whose back was facing Leon.

As the other one stood up on his feet, Leon spoke out loud in uncertainty, "Neal, is that you?"

Neal turned around to see his maternal uncle. He heaved a sigh of relief, "We are safe."

He waved his hands, "uncle, a little help here."

"Where… where… are we?" Harry had a look of confusion on his face while grabbing his head that was spinning with the teleportation. He was alerted when he first saw a stranger but upon learning that he's the uncle of Neal, Harry asked Neal to shed some light on him.

Neal showed his Slytherin bracelet and let out a smile, "this is a portkey, which will let me escape from any perilous situation."

Realization dawned upon Harry. Stepping back away from Neal, he screamed, "You have the route of escape all along. Why didn't you just do it from the beginning?"

Neal furrowed his brows. "Is this how you behave towards your rescuer? If not me, you would have been dead by now."

Harry fell silent as the scenes rewound in his brain. A jolt of pain was felt in his arm as well as his forehead. He groaned for a bit before he said, "we need to get back to Hogwarts. Dumbledore must know that he is back."

"Who is back? And you are Harry Potter, right? What are you both doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at the castle?" Leon reached them and heard the last bit of sentence. He didn't understand why they are here at this time.

Neal's facial expression turned serious. At first, he wanted to tell him to take a rest as there are so many things that he wanted to ask Salazar Slytherin but informing Dumbledore is more important. Not to mention, with Lucius already on the enemy side, Neal didn't believe that this place is any safer than Hogwarts.

Adding on top of that, he might have deeply offended Voldemort by making a fool out of him. He can't let his family bear another burden like Harry Potter, the boy who will be one of the prime targets of Voldemort.

If he is a friend, then, it would be a different issue but Harry is someone who always stands opposite of him. He wasn't obliged to carry this burden. It was enough that he saved his life on humanitarian grounds along with Salazar's insistence.

"Uncle, you know how to apparate? We need to get back to the castle," asked Neal as he looked at Leon.

Leon shook his head, "it is impossible to apparate into Hogwarts. Either you have to be Dumbledore or someone with strong magic power than him."

It was then Salazar's voice echoed in his head, "The origin can easily bypass all those restrictions. After all, you have been doing that for all this while. But, before that, you have to learn how to apparate to faraway places, not just from one side of the wall to the other side of the wall or unknowingly apparate away for survival."

"Eh?" A trace of surprise appeared on Neal.
