Sheridan was in front of them and they walked closely behind him giggling and eying him. I felt something heavy in my throat. They clearly found him hot. Of course I got jealous. Sheridan was a lady magnet. But to whom did he belong entirely? That's right. Me.
The thought made me smile and lean into my seat. I watched them enter the building.
While I waited patiently for him, someone appeared and knocked at my window. I turned. Kevin. I rolled my eyes. He motioned me to lower my glass. I did so.
"Hey, darling."
"What do you want? Don't tell me you're following me."
"N– no, my love. I came to buy some medicine and recognised that idiot's car."
"Don't call me that and don't call him that."
"What are you still doing with him?? Sawyer told me y'all broke up."
Uh oh.
"Yes, we have."
"Then?"
"My car broke down not far from here. I was about to take a taxi when he spotted me and opted to pick me up. Couldn't refuse. After he buys whatsoever, he'll drop me home."
