His human, his Kimberly

Chapter 34| His Human, His Kimberly

Kimberly couldn't believe the sound of her laughter and how free she felt even as she ran with Saif's hand in hers, a vexed man just giving up on his pursuit but Kimberly had a suspicion he'll keep a Dane gun next to him when he gets back, just in case.

She was a lawyer, she very well knows the extent of how serious a crime, trespassing was but when Saif had suggested it, it had sounded like so much fun and it was.

Besides, they had not messed with anything in his farm, well aside from laughing hard at the mark he had imprinted on each and every one of his ready-to-be-harvested crops, so he'll be aware if it has been tampered with no doubt.

But what had made destroying the plumpy bald man's little fence worth it was when Saif had shown her his stable.

One of the horses, with a midnight black gait and a regal stance, reminded her of Prince Tristan. A thought she had shared with Saif who had concurred and then advised that she kept her insight to herself. Because telling Tristan he looked like a horse didn't really up a man's esteem.

His eyes had that familiar spark of amusement and she knew he'll be the one doing the telling.

"He is beautiful," she had whispered, as she mimicked Saif who was feeding him carrot he had harvested from the farm.

"You love horses?" Saif muttered grinning.

Kimberly grinned back not believing herself. She had always been quite a troublemaker, but she never thought a life of crime appealed to her or did it?

She shook her head, refusing to ruin the moment with rationality and thinking of the real world. This was a vacation, a break from the real world. Where she had to write exams and go to college, work really hard, and get gainfully employed. Then the work begins fully.

Here, she was allowed to fool around to her heart content and she won't let the thought of Earth ruin the swell time Saif was trying so hard to give her.

"I never really had any experiences with them." She pouted, "I was not really the adventurous type and preferred being cooped in my house, working towards securing a good college in high school, then college had come and after work."

"Your life sounds like a blur. Way too perfect with no slipups and boring." He frowned, "You have so much in common with Tristan than you know."

It was Kimberly's turn to frown, "Yes I loved the comfortability of my house and had only one close friend but I'm not your proud, everyone is underneath me brother."

"You are so wrong about Tristan." He smirked, "You are always wrong about him in your opinions."

"Opinions he made with certain impressions of himself he revealed to me," Kimberly rolled her eyes in irritation, "He behaves like some kind of spoilt twat."

"I think that's me. Tristan is untrusting, suspecting, brooding, way serious, a player but he is anything but spoilt. He had always watched my back all these years with immense concentration. Almost like he never really had a life of his own, just like you to figure out if he liked rum or horse riding. It was always classes after classes. First the witch, then father, then the prestigious other degrees he had to bag. Courteous training and mannerism he had to adopt."

He noticed the indifferent deposition in her eyes. She didn't care and he understood. Why should she? She wanted to leave as soon as soon was possible.

But when she tugged his wear, an adorable thingy he noticed about her since their little outing, he saw the flicker of a little concern in her eyes, but it wasn't for Tristan, it was for him.

"You know you are a bigger and better person than you give yourself credit for? You are free-spirited and that's not a crime. But you are also smart, you are kind, patient, and more than that you have a wonderful soul. You think about everybody and that is everything, spoilt or not."

He gaped at her in disbelief, as words that he had not expected anyone to ever say to him spill out of the Human's lips. Words his mother could never think of because she was too busy trying to morph him into a mini Tristan. Be more like him, walk more like him, act more like him.

He loves his brother to bits but somehow he had grown up and noticed the competition they both had involuntarily been compelled into. And although he had stopped hoping to hear anyone tell him he was enough since that was a wide berth, he was barely noticed or acknowledged except he was being scolded at for his nuisances, his presence incurred in their lives but yet as the words left the Human's mouth, he realized just how much it meant to him.

He shouldn't be happy that she felt pure hatred for his brother, he shouldn't be glad that she was not one of his numerous fans who will bend backward just because of the privileged Prince.

He did love his brother and was also a hypocrite because he was amongst the wide variety of people who could do anything for the scumbag, but he wanted to be selfish for once.

Tristan had everything he wanted. His mother adored him, Abba was proud of him, even his mother looks at him in awe. Saif knew she could never admit it, but he knew she wished that Tristan was hers.

So, it won't be a sin to just want one thing, Tristan didn't.

He gazed at the human who was smiling as she wrote their initials on the bare floor.

S+K

He knew that soon, it will be wiped off the surface of the earth but that didn't stop him from entwining their hands.

She was going to be his best friend. He was going to have a confidant at least, someone that wasn't in the team Tristan moving wagon.

She looked up to meet his gaze, a question in her eyes and a smile on her lips oblivious to his thought.

"I want to show you something?"

"We are not done yet?"

"How can we be done when I haven't shown you the most popular place in the kingdom of Indiosia?"

And in a blink of an eye, her eyes were instantly curious and her gaze eager making him Chuckle.

He could hear her thoughts, knew she wanted to ask him where but knew he won't tell.

His human, his Kimberly, he thought even as he thought of the one place he wanted to go, to make sure he wasn't wrong in his findings.

He was going to seek Tristan out in the infirmary and flaunt just one thing he had, he didn't.
