"What are you doing here Terry, really, what treasure has gotten your attention this time?"

The others looked up at this.

"Allow me to explain. Terry here is a merchant in less than legal treasures, he was being chased for owning something that Aurelion had outlawed, they had chased him to my forest a few days after I claimed ownership. The guards thought they had trapped until it turned out he could enter and they could not.

After a while of him being unconcious he finally woke up, seeing that he was still alive while one of my subordinates, Don, was taking care of him.

I still remember his expression when he realized he was still in the forest, priceless."

"Yeah, let's not, you know, mention that ever." I patted him on the back while remembering it and laughing.

"I'm not here for any treasure actually, I'm travelling to Oshito, need to pick up a package there."

Before I could say anything, Markus spoke up, cutting me off.

"We could travel together, if you'd want to anyway. We are going there ourselves and everyody knows how usefull it is to have melee fighters to allow you to keep your distance from your opponents."

"This offer just makes me wonder what you're getting in return, I have had multiple offers that nearly led to my capture, the only reason I'm even listening is because Liz saved my life, otherwise I would have left the moment you tried to talk to me."

Nagi was the one who answered. "I'm a pretty powerful mage myself but I'm stuck with my magic, going any further would mean giving up my humanity and I'm not prepared for that."

"Right, you humans and your weak bodies, it's kind of ironic, you are the species that is the most common but to become stronger you need to become a humanoid, your bodies are just too frail.

If you want to observe my magic, I can accept that. Seeing me perform magic should be pretty enlightening for creating your own."

One of the most unique traits any individual of the Lobster race had was that the elements folowed their every command without hesitation, seeing this happen has given many inspiration on how to further their own unique magic.

"Wait, Terry, I have a question, does this mean that your race is capable of forming a core?"

"Oh, that, humanoids get the best of both worlds, we can access the class system and can evolve, we can even grow our own core if we wanted to, expanding our mana stories beyond what should be possible."

Nodding in understanding, Diana wrote down everything she had learned in a small notebook. From what I could see, it was nearly filled with drawings of different races and information she had gathered on them.

Afterwards, she started observing the other patrons here, I ate a second plate while I was at it. After a while, Diana's staring didn't stay under the radar and a boy with a smug look on his face approached us.

He was a humanoid, his hair was made from water, it flowed down his head in slow trickles, his body was made from a slimy substance, you could nearly see through it. His lower half was a mess of tentacles, all covered in blue slime.

"I saw you staring missy, I see that you're interested in me. Maybe we can go talk in my room, have some fun while we're at it."

She glared at him, disgusted at his offer.

"Dude, just leave, we don't want to make a scene."

Every tavern was located outside of the safe zone to avoid barfights killing everybody so he could very well attack Diana.

"Nope, she was staring at me, I could get her for stalking or something, unless, of course, she comes to my room for a while."

He licked his lips. The thought alone made my want to hurl. I stodd up, forming some death mana just to make myself more menacing.

"Listen here you disgusting piece of filth, if you so much as try to lay a hand on her I will rip your head from your body, consume it and see how long you can live without it."

Multiple of the people who had been sitting close to him stood up and tried to look threatening. That's when Nagi released his 'aura' or whatever you want to call it. The magic he can't strop from being released from his body naturally without focusing on keeping it in.

The pressure was nearly too much for most people in the tavern, me included, to handle. I had felt both Aella's and Markus' aura but this was on a whole different.

He could barely breathe with the pressure coming from Nagi and since I was deliberately forcing out mana, he was being suffocated.

When he fainted, we both stopped the release, some people had already fainted before the man but not long enough to recieve permanent damage.

"Let this be a warning, if any one so much as tries to touch this girl without her consent you will feel this for an entire day."

The thing about safe zones was, one of the loopholes was aura, if your aura is strong enough, you don't need to put in effort to kill someone since you can just make them die from not having air.

People looked at us like we were freaks but when it came down to it, that's what we were anyways so it didn't matter that much anyways.

"Now, let's discuss the details of this deal, hammer everything out so there aren't any problems later."
