"The women make it complicated," Rafael answered.
"Well, then you should stop picking complicated women. Rafael, what happened to the food you offered me? There were also supposed to be drinks here but I don't see any. Did you lie just to get in bed with you?" Annalise asked, wanting the food that was promised to her.
She hadn't eaten since long before the ball and it wasn't a lot because she thought she would get to eat again.
Why wasn't there any food at the ball? If there was, why hadn't she seen it so she could have eaten something? What did everyone eat to be able to get through the boring ball without looking for food?
"You want me to get out of this bed to search for food and drinks at this hour?" Rafael asked, needing to be clear that was what she wanted.
