Dark and light path

-Belda.

A voice was calling her, the voice of a man. She was in a large and without end flower field. They were all different in shape, colors and height but all pretty.

The was calling was coming from a man, his face and his body was indistinguishable because of the sun ray shining upon him from at his back. He was wearing a crown she remarked, with jewels on it.

-Belda, come.

She slowly started walking towards that strange figure.

-Belda, innocent and naive. Belda, soon to be the great savior or the fallen destructor.

-What are you talking about ? Said Belda, confused.

The man took off his crown and showed it to the little girl, he wanted her to take it.

-Soon you will see, soon you will know. When the day of the thrust will purefy the lies, then who you truly are will be revealed to you. Darkness and light are in your heart. Now take your crown.

He finished with a resonating voice but neutral.

-I don't want it, it's too weird. Leave me alone please.

Belra started to freak out, she didn't understood a thing and that person was talking to her about something she felt she needed to know but without knowint how to.

Then the sky started to turn dark while the ground started to shine bright.

-One day, you will have to make a choice, Belda.

Then she woke up, her eyes were wide open. Her bed was all fluffy and comfortable but her mind was not at peace. She sat up on her bed, rubbed her eyes then looked around her. The tent was clean, spacious, fragrant and cozy even. Luzalé was at the entrance talking to Régidal.

She was feeling like she did not belong here, her place was somewhere else and that thought alone made her afraid. Luzalé sensed it and turned back to look at her. She immediately saw that she was confused.

-Honey, what is it ? She asked concerned.

Régidal had followed inside.

-I...i had a dream. A man was standing in front of me, he told me something about darkness and light and destruction and savior thing. He scared me. He wanted to give me a crown but i said no, you always tell me to say no to stranger.

Luzalé and Régidal looked at each other, they didn't need to speak, for they clearly understood.

-Don't worry, sweetie. It was just a bad dream.

Reassured the lady while gently caressing the back of the princess. The lord was thinking about this, he seemed even worried a little.

-Did you see his face ? Demanded Régidal.

Luzalé looked at him with her eyes frowned. She did not like the fact that he was trying to get her to remember that unpleasant dream. He noticed it but he hasd to know.

-Régidal. She said with a reprobating tone.

-We must know, we can't left any informations aside. It could be important.

-I don't know. I couldn't see his face. He was scary. She replied with the same confused tone.

She was trying to remember but nothing came out.

-I see, don't worry about it. It was probably nothing.

-You think ? She asked back. I feel like it was important. The mister said i had to make a choice.

The confusion only added a invisible worry to the mind of Régidal. Luzalé was expressing the worries she had, more specifically her face.

-Don't worry, Belda. He said while kneeling. It was just a nightmare, nothing else.

-Okay.

He stood up and went outside, Luzalé looked at him with that sam face of disaprovement she had seconds earlier however she gently said to Belda.

-Go take a bath and eat something.

She then stood up too and went outside. She followed the lord who was walking towards his tent, lost in his reflections.

-Please Léol, watch over Belda for me. She said, again, gently before following her chief.

She was walking with a slightly high pace. Aesta and the others could feel from what they were seeing that there was tension in the air.

-Oh, mom and dad are arguing. Said with sarcasm Aesta.

-Ouh, i wonder who will win. Added Sarika.

-Shut your mouth. Reprimanded Diésir. If they are having a disagreement, it must be important since it's very rare.

They stayed silent, he was right, still theyr were curious and watched trying to guess what was the reason fo their argument.

-Régidal ! She called not too loud, not too upset.

He stopped, midly annoyed because he knew what she was goind to say.

-Luzalé, i....

-She is just a child, Régidal.

-I know.

-Then do not make her face sentiments and emotions she can't understand. This nightmare was clearly disturbing for her. Did you really need to make her relived this ?

-Sorry for playing the role of the vilain. He said coldly and stern face.

-Do not say what i did not say. She replied with her eyes frowned.

-I am trying to understand the situation we are in, that's all.

-Me too but not like that. As usual you let fear and anger controling your actions, as if they were the only thing keeping you advancing.

-Whose fault is that ? He said while looking at her directly in her amethyst eyes.

For the first time, anger was slightly emerging from his voice and shining through his eyes.

-Are you accusing me ? Or accusing Belda ?

-I am not but i told you, the night we met that i had nothing left except my pain. Then my fear for the future of Belda appeared because i care for. What else do i have ? You put your trust in me but i am nothing and i am weak. Guilty of being alive. I do not deserve a single fragment of happiness. I do not deserve any of you, especially you and Belda.

His words were piercing violently the heart of Luzalé, her face was now filled with sadness and her eyes were teary. He did not yell or shout, he just told her what he felt with the same sad voice he had the first time they met.

-After everything we went through, after everything i told you to help you understand and see, you still...hate yourself. It pains me... to see how little you make yourself. You say you are nothing but...you are the world to Belda...to me. A rightful leader and a brother to the others. I know you wish you hadn't met me, so you could had just die while withering in the darkness of you heart... no responsability for us, for her, no hope or love to never feel that pain again. You.... chain yourself to it because you are... terrified to feel that distress.

She was crying, trying to talk was harder. She was feeling his pain and her own sadness for him. He felt more guilty, sadness was covering his face. She still couldn't help him see and he still couldn't make her understand. He stayed silent for a moment.

-I hate when we argue and i hate even more seeing you cry.... I am sorry, sorry for everything. He said with a compassionate voice.

-Do not ask forgiveness for things you are not guilty. She replied while trying to stop crying. Forgive yourself.

He was speechless, unable to say a thing after those words. He took her head between his warm hands, wiping her tears.

-Forgive my lack of faith and forgive my lack of.....love.

-I do not blame you. I truly hope that one day you will heal.

He stayed silent again, he stared at her eyes before embracing her in his arms. That was the only answer he could give her without shedding tears. They stayed there, in the arms of each other, consoling each other, comforting each other silently because no words could explained this intertwined pain and hope.
