Kazuki told them to raise their heads. He didn't know what's going on but since they thought he was a royal, he decided to play along. He pulled his pouch from his pocket and gave it to the mans wife and she gratefully accepted. He then asked the wife if he could speak with her husband privately and she gladly agreed. Perhaps she was thinking that Kazuki is here to offer him a job since he had just returned and his husband used to work at the castle.
He guided Kazuki inside his office and locked the doors. Kazuki casually sat on a chair and asked "Do you remember me?"
The man was confused because it was his first time seeing that man. "Forgive me sir, but i believe that this is the first time we've met?" he replied.
Kazuki glared at him which made him nervous. He could not afford to offend a royal or he and his family couldn't bare the consequences. Seeing the man struggle to remember, he smirked and cancelled his magic revealing his true face. When the man saw his face, his face turned pale and he tried to escape but once again, he could not move his legs.
"So...I'm guessing that you already know what I want" Kazuki said calmly.
He understood that as long as he answers Kazuki's questions he will be safe. As for what he is about to tell him, it's the deepest secret of their species that must not be told to outsiders.
At first, he still has determination to resist but once Kazuki brought up the topic about his family, he started to talk. He introduced himself as Asmond, an explorer. He told Kazuki about the gems in their forehead and that only royals can have emeralds.
He told him all the information he knew but Kazuki paid no mind to the ones that doesn't pique his interest.
The one that caught his attention is when Asmond mentioned that their king is named Dread. That's a name that Kazuki was familiar with for it was his comrade.
"Where's the castle?" Kazuki asked cutting Asmond's words.
"It's in the center of town" he replied.
Kazuki recalled seeing a big wall on the center of town but he didn't mind it and left but who would've known that it was Dread's home.
"Time to pay that king a visit" he muttered.
