Everything was back to normal. No demon invasion, no breaking ins, no hacking and not a hint of Serena or Councilor Jamil. This was just the calm before all hell broke loose. Miran hated it, the wait just gave him time to think of the probabilities. He had become too jumpy for his own good, every corner held an unknown threat and the demons could have been hiding anywhere in the Isle.
Worst of all, he now had a shadow behind him that he hadn't been able to shake off for days. He couldn't let her go to the Council tower, too many eyes but he also couldn't say no to her. He walked to upto the back of the couch she was sitting on. They were still in his house. He didn't feel safe, having Reyna in the palace and to be honest he wasn't comfortable being their either.
