Ch 14- Facing Death ( part 2)

After storing the body of the three snakes.

I turned around to see what Yue was doing, she wasn't in any good condition.

I think she was able to kill the snake but because of the time it took me to kill the green snake, the dead snake was regenerated.

I jumped towards her and caught her by her waist and then ran towards a safe distance from the snake.

While running I asked her to drink my blood.

" Yue, drink my blood"

She looked at me with hatred and denied.

" I am ready to die than drink your blood"

I knew this wasn't going to happen, so I threatened her 

" If you don't drink my blood and then help me in killing this snake. Then I promise you that your end won't be something you like"

Maybe my threat worked and I felt a bite around my neck. This bite didn't feel like it was done for getting blood but more like she wanted to tear my neck.

Of course she wasn't able to do it with just physical strength as my physical defence wasn't weak.

After trying her best but weren't able to do it, Yue gave up and truthfully started sucking blood. If she weren't able to tear my neck, now she wanted to suck me alive.

Of Course that also ended with failure.

After getting my blood for the first time, She was feeling powerful because my blood itself was higher than hers and I was stronger than her.

She wanted to use this chance to kill me but after thinking about the HYDRA she stopped herself.

I was able to feel her killing intent but I ignored it , cause I had a bigger problem.

After losing the green snake and the other two snakes, the hydra entered a berserk mode.

The four alive snakes attacked me without any warning, but I was already ready for it.

After feeling the attack, I threw Yue in one direction and myself jumped in another.

Yue was also ready for that and was able to stabilise herself 

I didn't pay any attention to Yue and jumped towards the hydra with my sword.

The yellow snake also attacked me with earth magic. The earth below my legs was crumbling but I was unharmed as I was in the air.

I didn't give the snake any chance and attacked it with a sword energy cut, which the snake wasn't able to dodge in time and it cost him his life.

After killing the snake I looked towards Yue and saw that she also killed a snake head.

Now only two heads of HYDRA alive, one was pink while the other was blue.

I looked towards the pink snake and then I felt the environment around me change.

Suddenly I felt an attack on my back, I looked back and saw Yue attacking me with a sword.

I was shocked first then became angry.

"How dare you attack me"

She didn't reply but started yelling like a person who is out of mind.

" I took my revenge"

" Haa haa haaaa"

"I took my revenge"

I was regretting why I didn't kill her before.

But suddenly a thought came in my mind.

Yue was very far away from me, she couldn't teleport. Where did she get the sword from?

I thought about something and gave myself a mana shock.(I remember from Naruto that disturbing the energy balance inside you can free you from illusion)

My doubt was correct, the environment around me returned back to the previous.

Even if I was out of illusion, I was late as a  water cannon was attacking me. Because I didn't have time to dodge the attack, I was hit by it.

I didn't stop and directly hit the wall of the hall.

The HYDRA, after seeing that the attack was successful, attacked Yue.

Yue was shocked to see me attacked.

But she was ready for the snake attack and dogged it easily and started counter attacking.

After I hit the wall, I walked out the crumbled wall.

This was the first time I was injured by a monster after my evolution.

It was also because of my carelessness. If it wasn't for my quick thinking, I may be dead by now.

I didn't care about my injury and jumped towards the hydra.

Seeing me alive, Yue looked towards me.

I saw that but I also saw that seeing this opening in Yue, The hydra also attacked Yue.

Because of less time she wasn't able to dodge the attack, but I don't know why my body didn't listen to me and I went in front of Yue and blocked the snake attack.

I wasn't able to comprehend this but I didn't have time to think, I used all my Mana and made a massive rasengan and attacked the remaining two heads.

Because of having less distance, I was also attacked by the wave of rasengan.

The snake was dead but I was also losing my consciousness because of having my Mana empty.

As I was losing my consciousness, the last thing I saw was Yue face with killing intent.

I wasn't able to do anything and lost consciousness.

The last thoughts inside my head were why I blocked the attack, I wasn't a good person who will sacrifice himself for anyone.

Maybe the system was still on without mana, maybe it doesn't work on mana.

[" Host blocked the attack because of your beastly instinct to protect your mate"]

Maybe this is what others call regret, I wasn't regretting my decision but my weakness.

Maybe this is the end of the journey of the beast.
