The Aftermath

My whole world is entirely cover in pitch-black darkness as I feel my body floating in a fluid-like state, as it slowly goes numb from the pain and begins to feel sleepy. "Wake up Michael". A deep, faded voice said. I try to open my eyes, but no matter how much I try to raise my eyelids, they won't open. "Michael, can you hear me?" the voice said. Despite not being able to see, I feel myself reaching out, trying to feel my way through the dark sea. I try to move my body again, only to feel more of my body to feel numb and heavy.

I then felt something come out of my body, and slowly I could feel the heaviness and numbness slowly fade away, and replace with the feeling of my body begin lighter than its ever been in my life. "Wake up Michael, wake up!" A female voice with a high pith said. I could see a bright light through my close eyelids. The light felt warm as I felt it on my face. The feeling spread through my entire body, similar to before. I open my opens, only to be blinded by the light. "Wake up!" Hannah said.

10:34 am

Michaels eyes shot open and sharply breathes in as he is brought back to the land of the living. He looks down at his body, he uses his hand to feel his chest and moves it down to his stomach, not feeling any cuts or scars. It was like what Nami did never happen. 'Nami? Oh shit! Hannah!' Michael thought as he looks tried to get up, only to feel lightheaded and sit back down. He looks at his surroundings, realizing that he is still in the apartment and that Hannah was unconscious on the ground right next to him.

She was on her side, facing away from the now worried man. "Hannah? Hannah!" Michael said, trying to wake the girl up. He went over to the unconscious girl on the ground, and put his hand on her arm, turning her towards him. She seems to be unharmed from the monstrous creature that was Nami. Until he notices her hand, which was cut and blood had come out of it. It wasn't pouring out like a waterfall, but her blood was slowly coming out of her hand and onto the floor.

After seeing this, he immediately reacted to the blood by quickly getting back up and rushing to the bathroom for any towels he can use. He swung open the door to the bathroom and went to the cabinet under their sink. There was nothing there except the plumbing for the sink. Michael then shut the cabinet and ran out of the room and to the kitchen for paper towels or something else he could use to stop the bleeding. As he ran, he trips and falls, face planting on the ground. He touches his face, making sure nothing is broken as his face still stings. He looks at what he tripped on and sees that it was one of the blankets.

He goes to the blanket and grabs it, then rushes to Hannah. He arrives at the right side of her and puts part of the blanket on her hand, applying pressure to the wound. While Michael was helping Hannah, she wakes up from the irritating pain from the blanket touching her wound. Her eyes see the blanket that is on her hand, soaking up the blood. They trace the hand that is using the blanket up to their arm and sees Michael's face, concentrating on her hand. "Michael?" Hannah said quietly. Michael hears Hannah's faint voice and looks in her direction. "Hannah?" he asks.

"What are you doing? It's hurting my hand." She said, telling him about her pain. Michael retracts his hand and the blood soaks the blanket and sees her wound has slowed down the blood coming out of her hand. Michael looks at Hannah, who is looking at him and wondering what he is doing. "Hannah, can you do me a favour? I need you to press the blanket on the cut you have, while I get you some bandages." Michael said, giving her the blanket before she could respond to what he said. Hannah takes the blanket and does what Michael told her to do, while he gets up and heads towards the door. "Michael?" the girl said. Michael didn't respond.

Michael puts on one of his shoes and proceeds to put the second one on. "Michael?" Hannah said, louder and getting the man's attention. He looks in the direction of her voice. "Yeah, Hannah?" he responds, wanting to leave as soon as possible. "You're not going to leave me, are you?" she asks, worryingly. Michael hesitates and doesn't respond right away. "O-of course Hannah, I just need to get you something for your hand. Why would think I would do that?" He asks. "I don't want you to go missing like my parents." she explains. "I won't leave you or go missing on you Hannah, I promise." He said, relieving her of some of her worries.

Michael heads to the door and leaves Hannah to herself. Michael jogs to the landlord, with questions racing through his mind. 'What the hell is going on? First, theirs what happen with the robber, then the whole incident with Nami, who is or was some sort of bird-creature-thing. Also, I'm pretty damn sure I'm supposed to be dead. I felt the feather-things pierce my skin, and now, when I should be dead, I wake up to see Hannah unconscious and bleeding from her hand.' He thought, trying to rationalize what happened in the last 24 hours. "When I get back, Hannah and I are going to have a talk, and she better at least give me some idea of what's going on." He said to himself.

A minute later, Michael gets to the landlord's door and knocks on it. He waits a few seconds, minding his own business as two people walk by him, talking to each other. The door opens and the landlord looks at Michael. "Michael, is there something else you need?" The landlord asks, surprised to see him again.
