A/N: Going to start uploading again with smaller chaps 1.5-2k words.
…
(3rd person POV
'I'm a good girl.' A perfectly nice and respectable good girl. 'I'm a good girl.'
With shaky legs, Stephanie Fou Offrey walks across the interior of her dorm bedroom. Her face is morphed into a cramped forced smile as she looks into the mirror at herself.
Her eyes had a deep dark shadow underneath them, a testament to the lack of sleep she had been getting.
"I'm a good girl. A very very good girl." She chanted to herself as she grabbed a brush from the table and with shaky hands began running it through her long straight blonde hair.
No longer did she wear her hairstyle in that haughty fashion. She wore a good girls hair style, and made sure it was nice and tidy.
She wasn't a naughty girl after all. "I'm a good girl."
"Good morning, did you sleep well?"
"How are you doing today!"
"You look very nice!"
"I'm a good girl, a very good girl."
She practiced many phrases in front of the mirror. She had purchased books about manners and started paying attention in noble etiquette/manners class.
She was no longer a naughty girl after all. She was a good girl. A very good girl.
She had apologized to those two extremely nice girls. She did as the nice boy wanted. She didn't disobey the nice boy.
"I'm a good girl, don't beat me please." She said to herself as she stood at the entrance of her dorm. Her uniform was neat and tidy, she wore it exactly as they told her to.
Her arms were shaky as she held the handle to the door. Her breaths turned ragged as she slowly forced her hand to open the door.
Some girls who were already outside their dorms looked at her as she slowly began walking out. The dread they used to have every time she showed her presence was gone in exchange for confusion at her current state.
Stephanie ignored all of that. She began walking to her first class of the day, passing everyone with a friendly smile as a good girl should do.
As she entered the school building though, she felt him close. She began looking around, phantom pain appearing on her face as her legs were barely able to support her.
'I'M A GOOD GIRL! DON'T HURT ME! I'M A GOOD GIRL! DON'T HURT ME! I'M A GOOD GIRL! DON'T HURT ME! I'M A GOOD GIRL! DON'T HURT ME!' She chanted over and over like a spell to repel the devil as she desperately forced her legs to move away from the man she knew was nearby.
She never even caught sight of him but she still knew. It was instinctual and terror-inducing.
She is a good girl, don't hurt her.
…
(Noir POV)
'Hmm, what's up with her?' I wondered as I watched Stephanie walk away frantically looking in every direction but my own.
"You seriously need to tell me what you did to her," Angie said as she also watched the girl depart.
"Hmm, maybe another time." I shrugged as we continued our walk to our first class.
Our date was scheduled for tomorrow, and I was looking forward to it quite a bit. She was too and Livia was the same, that girl is seriously kind of weird.
I already had plans figured out, though it was flexible enough that changes could be made depending on the mood.
"I've never seen her so… docile before, it's kind of creepy." Angie continued. "Whatever you did, it certainly wasn't mild."
"I gave her a thorough talking to," I said in full seriousness as she slapped my arm.
"Yeah right, see you, let's eat lunch together." She said before turning the corner, headed to her lecture while I continued straight.
…
3 boring lectures later and I was finally given a well-deserved lunch break. Before I could go search for the girls to enjoy my nice harem life though, a certain thrown-away heroine approached me.
"Hey, Mr. Damsel Saver."
"That is a terrible nickname, and it lacks creativity," I replied to the name I hope to never hear again.
"Yeah, well it's accurate you know." The orange-blonde-haired girl shrugged as she leaned on the wall next to me.
"Yeah, well… what have you been up to recently?" I changed the subject, it wasn't something I wanted to admit.
"Not much, dealing with my dad trying to put me in another engagement, studying, shopping, etc, etc." She responded with an uncaring tone.
"That sounds annoying, who's the lucky guy?"
"Don't say lucky like it's going to happen, it's some Earl's son that I don't even want to try to remember the name of. The first time we met the guy dropped to his knees and licked my shoe, reaaaaaaaaaal gross." She dragged out the 'real' as she scrunched her eyebrows.
"Oh…" The boys were really desperate nowadays. "Well, how's your father taking your refusal."
"Hmph, he's persistent but I'm slowly wearing him down." She boasted, unaware of the privilege she held. For one, she had a parental figure who actually valued her opinion, and two, she had definitely won the flip coin of the gender that would most likely get what they want.
"Good for you." I chuckled at her confidence.
"Mhm mhm," she nodded before she looked at me. "What about you, how's life in paradise?"
I shook my head, "Busy, but fun."
"I'm sure it is you play boy, do you know how much the guys in this school envy you?" The girl, Clarice, said playfully.
"That so." I said offhandedly, "What's there not to be jealous of." I wasn't one to boast my superiority, haha, just kidding. 'I'm better than you idiots!'
"Haha, yeah okay hot stuff, I was going to say let's have lunch together but I'm sure you have two beautiful blondes to attend to." She chuckled pushing herself off the wall. It was nice seeing her this genuinely happy.
"You're right I do, but don't worry about that," I said grabbing her arm and pulling her towards the direction I knew the two said blondes were.
"Woah, not satisfied with two huh?" She joked as she trailed behind me.
…
"Noir! I aced it!" Livia ran up to me as we approached waving around a sheet of paper containing her most recent test grade.
"As expected." I praised the lovable saint taking in her infectious smile into my soul. This girl had me wrapped around her finger, I'm just glad she doesn't have malicious intentions.
"I've brought a friend," I said signaling towards Clarice who waved back with a smile.
"Lady Angelica, Olivia." She said in a respectful tone.
"I said to call me Livia." Livia pouted though Clarice laughed it off.
"Hehe, just kidding, so where are we eating." Clarice was a friend to the two, not as close as us three but the closest outside of our three-person circle.
"Noir knows all the best spots," Angie called me out as I pondered where to take them.
…
We stayed on campus but went to one of the rooms I knew was empty at the moment. It was at a good angle to catch a breeze and didn't get too hot.
"And then boom, there he is, just locking lips with the damn girl." Clarice recounted her memories of catching Dan kissing Marie while the other two girls listened intently.
They were so wrapped that they even stopped eating, leaving me as the only one with a clear plate.
"Has he tried to talk to you since then?" Angie asked, clearly very interested.
"Of course, he tried to say it was a mistake and about 1,000 other excuses but I know what I saw." She shrugged taking a sip of her water bottle.
"Are you okay…" Livia asked, concerned.
"Hmm? Oh, I think maybe you have the wrong idea, I have zero romantic interest in him, but… yeah, I feel a little betrayed though." Clarice clarified.
"I see…" Livia made an understanding expression.
"I'd be fine if it were any other girl, but Marie of all people?" She shook her head in annoyance, "Well I'm sure you would understand." She turned a glance to Angie.
"…" She nodded in silence before all of a sudden her head snapped towards me, "Stay away from that girl."
"I never planned to get near her." I deadpanned.
