Jackie sat brooding in her office with mixed feelings.

*Does the fate of our relationship rest solely on my heirloom? It doesn’t make sense…*

She was twiddling the security box key in her hand, staring out to the Marina Bay from her desk when her phone rang. She saw the caller’s name on her screen and her first instinct was to ignore it.

But when a text message notification appeared soon after, she saw Bob’s name on it.

*Arno: Have critical information about Robert Tang. Important you know about it.*

She picked up the call when he rang again.

“Yes? What do you want?” she snapped.

“Jackie, Jackie… Take it easy. I found out something important, and I’m just giving you information as a friend. I think you’ll want to hear it…” Arno said.

“Just say it!”

“Well, Robert Tang. Wasn’t I the one who told you that the Tang family was interested in your emerald necklace? I wasn’t wrong.”

Jackie didn’t reply.
